Based on Weyl-scaled induced gravitational theory, we regard dilaton field in this theory as a candidate of dark energy. We construct a dilatonic dark energy model and its phantom model, that admit late time de Sitter attractor solution. When we take the potential of dilaton field as the form which has been studied in supergravity model and the famous Mexican hat potential , we show mathematically that these attractor solutions correspond to an equation of state ω = −1 and a cosmic density parameter Ω_σ = 1, which are important features for a dark energy model that can meet the current observations.  相似文献

A new method for the ultrasonic enhancement of oil recovery from failing wells is described. The technology involves lowering a source of power ultrasound to the bottom of the well either for a short treatment before removal or as a permanent placement for intermittent use. In wells where the permeability is above 20 mD and the porosity is greater than 15% ultrasonic treatment can increase oil production by up to 50% and in some cases even more. For wells of lower permeability and porosity ultrasonic treatment alone is less successful but high production rates can be achieved when ultrasound is applied in conjunction with chemicals. An average productivity increase of nearly 3 fold can be achieved for this type of production well using the combined ultrasound with chemical treatment technology.  相似文献

Radiative lifetime of an exciton in a GaAs quantum well (QW) is controlled by high-density excitons, which restrict the exciton coherence through scattering. In order to circumvent the phase space filling effect of high-density excitons, we have prepared a QW structure in such a way that a reservoir for high-density excitons is separated from the QW. The lifetime increases (up to 30%) with the exciton density in the reservoir and saturates at 1×1017/cm3. The upper bound lifetime is determined by the excitonic relative motion.  相似文献

The influence of axial periodic electric fields on streaming flows through three coaxial infinitely vertical cylinders is considered. The three fluid layers are assumed to be incompressible, dielectric, viscous and saturated through porous media. To relax the mathematical manipulation of the problem, the viscous potential theory is considered. Through the current work, the stability analysis of the coupled Mathieu equations is developed in the analogy of the multiple scales homotopy technique. Away from the symmetric and anti-symmetric modes, the present study investigates a general case of the surface waves deflections. To overcome the lengthy of the algebraic calculations, the matrices concept is utilized. The stability analysis reveals the resonance as well as non-resonance cases. A set of graphs are depicted to indicate some resonance cases for a chosen sample through a dimensionless system. Therefore, the influence of some physical parameters on the stability picture is indicated. In addition, the perturbed solutions of the governed Mathieu equations are graphed.  相似文献

We consider an Ising model with Kac potential dK(¦x¦) which may have arbitrary sign, and show, following Gates and Penrose, that the free energy in the classical limit0+ can be obtained from a variational principle. When the Fourier transform of the potential has its maximum atp=0 one recovers the usual mean-field theory of magnetism. When the maximum occurs forp 00, however, one obtains an oscillatory or helicoidal phase in which the magnetization near the critical point oscillates with period 2p 0¦. An example with a potential possessing parameter-dependent oscillations is shown to exhibit crossover phenomena and a multicritical Lifshitz point in the classical limit.  相似文献

We calculate the energy levels of two particles trapped in a harmonic potential. The actual two-body potential, assumed to be spherically symmetric, is replaced by a projective operator (non-local separable potential) to determine the energy levels in a closed form. This approach overcomes the limitations of the regularized Fermi pseudopotential when the characteristic length of the two-body interaction potential is of the order of the size of the harmonic trap. In addition, we recover the results obtained with the Fermi pseudopotential when the length of the interaction is much smaller than the size of the trap.  相似文献

Negative plasma potentials were obtained in DC hot filament unmagnetized electropositive argon plasma for sufficiently low neutral pressure. Double layers provide ion and electron confinement near the walls. The potential profiles from the center of the plasma to the potential minima are quite similar in shape to those observed when the plasma has positive plasma potentials. The primary electrons emitted from the filaments are important for charge conservation and for modification of the Bohm criteria but are not important for current balance.  相似文献

We investigate the time for a particle to pass through the reflectionless Sech-squared potential. Using the Salecker-Wigner and Peres quantum clock an average transmission time of a Gaussian wave packet representing the particle is explicitly evaluated in terms of average momentum and travel distance. The average transmission time is shown to be shorter than the time of free-particle motion and very close to the classical time for wave packets with well-localized momentum states. Since the clock measures the duration of scattering process the average transmission time can be interpreted as the average dwell time.  相似文献

Within the Feynman–Kac path integral representation, the equilibrium quantities of a quantum plasma can be represented by Mayer graphs. The well known Coulomb divergencies that appear in these series are eliminated by partial resummations. In this paper, we propose a resummation scheme based on the introduction of a single effective potential that is the quantum analog of the Debye potential. A low density analysis of shows that it reduces, at short distances, to the bare Coulomb interaction between the charges (which is able to lead to bound states). At scale of the order of the Debye screening length –1 D, approaches the classical Debye potential and, at large distances, it decays as a dipolar potential (this large distance behaviour is due to the quantum nature of the particles). The prototype graphs that result from the resummation obey the same diagrammatical rules as the classical graphs of the Abe–Meeron series. We give several applications that show the usefulness of to account for Coulombic effects at all distances in a coherent way.  相似文献

The theory of forward glory scattering is investigated for a state-to-state chemical reaction whose scattering amplitude can be written as a Legendre partial wave series. Legendre series occur in the exact quantum theory of reactive scattering when the initial and final helicity quantum numbers are zero, as well as in many approximate theories of chemical reactions. The starting point for the semiclassical theory is a two-dimensional integral representation for the scattering amplitude. A uniform semiclassical approximation is derived that is valid for angles both on, and off, the axial caustic associated with the glory. The derivation is the first application to a concrete problem in molecular physics of a method outlined by J. N. L. Connor and H. R. Mayne in 1979 for the uniform semiclassical evaluation of multidimensional integrals. The approach exploits the theory of singularities of differential mappings. The key step in the derivation is an exact one-to-one change of variables in the neighbourhood of the stationary phase points that locally reduce the two-dimensional phase of the integrand to a non-polynomial canonical form. The derivation complements a different semiclassical glory analysis reported in a companion paper.  相似文献
