Diphenylaminobiphenylated stryl based alternating copolymers with phenyl or fluorene, which were expected to have a terphenylene vinylene backbone containing an (N,N‐diphenylamino)biphenyl pendant and a phenyl/fluorene/phenylene vinylene backbone containing an (N,N‐diphenylamino)biphenyl pendant, were synthesized by a Suzuki coupling reaction. The obtained copolymers were confirmed with various types of spectroscopy. The alternating copolymers showed good hole‐injection properties because of their low oxidation potential and good solubility and high thermal stability with a high glass‐transition temperature. The alternating copolymers showed blue emissions because of the adjusted conjugation lengths; the maximum wavelength was 460 nm for poly{4,4′‐biphenylene‐α‐[4″‐(N,N′‐diphenylamino)diphenyl]vinylene‐alt‐5‐(2′‐ethylhexyloxy)‐2‐methoxybenzene} and 487 nm for poly{4,4′‐biphenylene‐α‐[4″‐(N,N′‐diphenylamino)diphenyl] vinylene‐alt‐9,9‐dihexylfluorene}. The maximum brightness of indium tin oxide/poly(3,4‐ethylene dioxythiophene)/polymer/LiF/Al devices with poly{4,4′‐biphenylene‐α‐[4″‐(N,N′‐diphenylamino)diphenyl]vinylene‐alt‐5‐(2′‐ethylhexyloxy)‐2‐methoxybenzene} or poly{4,4′‐biphenylene‐α‐[4″‐(N,N′‐diphenylamino)diphenyl]vinylene‐alt‐9,9‐dihexylfluorene} as the emitting layer was 250 or 1000 cd/m2, respectively. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We analyze a scheme, originally suggested by Smoluchowski, by which a diffusion coefficientD can be estimated by measuring the number of particles occupying a fixed region of a surface at various times. An expression is derived relating the variance of the estimated valueD to several experimental parameters. This expression is evaluated numerically to determine how statistical uncertainty depends on adjustable variables. In this paper we rigorously establish the existence of the mobility coefficient for a tagged particle in a simple symmetric exclusion process with adsorption/desorption of particles, in a presence of an external force field interacting with the particle. The proof is obtained using a perturbative argument. In addition, we show that, for a constant external field, the mobility of a particle equals to the self-diffusivity coefficient, the so-called Einstein relation. The method can be applied to any system where the environment has a Markovian evolution with a fast convergence to equilibrium (spectral gap property). In this context we find a necessary relation between forward and backward velocity for the validity of the Einstein relation. This relation is always satisfied by reversible systems. We provide an example of a non-reversible system, where the Einstein relation is valid.This revised version was published online in March 2005 with corrections to the page numbers.  相似文献

We demonstrate that a spherical accretion onto astrophysical black holes, under the influence of Newtonian or various post-Newtonian pseudo-Schwarzschild gravitational potentials, may constitute a concrete example of classical analogue gravity naturally found in the Universe. We analytically calculate the corresponding analogue Hawking temperature as a function of the minimum number of physical parameters governing the accretion flow. We study both the polytropic and the isothermal accretion. We show that unlike in a general relativistic spherical accretion, analogue white hole solutions can never be obtained in such post-Newtonian systems. We also show that an isothermal spherical accretion is a remarkably simple example in which the only one information–the temperature of the fluid, is sufficient to completely describe an analogue gravity system. For both types of accretion, the analogue Hawking temperature may become higher than the usual Hawking temperature. However, the analogue Hawking temperature for accreting astrophysical black holes is considerably lower compared with the temperature of the accreting fluid.  相似文献

The concept of three-center four-electron (3c-4e) bonding, which has often been invoked in attempts to interpret the electronic structure of electron-rich molecules, is scrutinized using various methodologies, including generalized population analysis and the analysis of the so-called domain-averaged Fermi holes. Results for representative examples show clearly how manifestations of the 3c-4e model can depend critically on the quality of the wave function being analyzed. In general, the existence of 3c-4e bonding tends to be most compatible with the analysis of wave functions of lower quality; enhancements to the flexibility of the basis and/or the inclusion of electron correlation can lead to dramatic changes, such that the 3c-4e scheme transforms into a pattern of two more or less normal, albeit often very polar, two-center two-electron bonds.  相似文献

In this article, we first investigate the bending of light rays in 4D line elements representing spherically symmetric, static on–brane geometries. The amount of bending in these four dimensional, strong and weak field solutions is derived. Signatures, which appear in the bending formulae, due to the presence of extra dimensions are discussed. Subsequently, as a separate exercise, we calculate the bending of null geodesic trajectories in a bulk five dimensional spacetime with a Schwarzschild line element on the 3-brane section. We interpret the deviation of null trajectories as that of gravitational signals or five dimensional photons, which are, unlike light rays confined to four dimensions, allowed to propagate along the fifth (extra) dimension. Features of the presence of extra dimensions in the effective potentials and the bending formula are analysed in this context.  相似文献

Horizon Entropy     
Although the laws of thermodynamics are well established for black hole horizons, much less has been said in the literature to support the extension of these laws to more general settings such as an asymptotic de Sitter horizon or a Rindler horizon (the event horizon of an asymptotic uniformly accelerated observer). In the present paper we review the results that have been previously established and argue that the laws of black hole thermodynamics, as well as their underlying statistical mechanical content, extend quite generally to what we call here causal horizons. The root of this generalization is the local notion of horizon entropy density.  相似文献
