Electric fields in the rheology of disperse systems   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
In the present survey, the influence of electric fields on the structure and rheological properties of disperse systems as well as the effect of deformations on their electrical characteristics are discussed. The properties of these systems are considered in terms of the dielectric permittivity and electrification potential. The considerable thickness of the double electric layer around the disperse phase particles, which is characteristic of disperse systems with nonpolar hydrocarbon dispersion media, provides the possibility for strong electric fields to produce an electric nonuniformity on the surface of the disperse phase particles. The formation of hydrate layers on the particles creates the possibility of polarization of the disperse phase. In plastic disperse systems such as greases, a strong orientation effect is observed, which contributes to the creation of frozen flow patterns when the flow is suddenly stopped. The survey is concluded with a consideration of the process of formation of chain structures in the direction of the lines of force of the electric field whose orientation is normal to the direction of flow, which can lead to complete stoppage of the flow.  相似文献

A diffusion equation including source terms, representing randomly distributed sources and sinks is considered. For quasilinear growth rates the eigenvalue problem is equivalent to that of the quantum mechanical motion of electrons in random fields. Correspondingly there exist localized and extended density distributions dependent on the statistics of the random field and on the dimension of the space. Besides applications in physics (nonequilibrium processes in pumped disordered solid materials) a new evolution model is discussed which considers evolution as hill climbing in a random landscape.We dedicate this work to the memory of Ilya M. Summary Extended X-ray absorption fine-structure (EXAFS) spectroscopy has been demonstrated to be a most useful probe of short-range interatomic correlations in a wide variety of materials. The theory of the EXAFS is presented in its simplest form so as to provide the basis for a discussion about the kind and quality of the structural information which can be extracted from EXAFS data. The adequacy of several of the approximations commonly incorporated in this theory is examined with emphasis on those areas of the theory which bear most directly on the analysis of EXAFS data. 蓝宝石具有超强硬度及耐腐蚀、耐高温、在紫外-红外波段具有良好的透光性等优点,在军工业以及医疗器械方面具有广泛的应用前景.然而这些优点又对蓝宝石的机械加工或化学腐蚀加工带来困难.飞秒激光脉冲具有热损伤小、加工分辨率高、材料选择广等特点,被广泛应用于固体材料改性和高精度三维微纳器件加工.本文提出了利用飞秒激光多光子吸收特性在蓝宝石表面实现超越光学衍射极限的精细加工.利用聚焦后的波长为343 nm的飞秒激光,配合高精密三维压电位移台,实现激光焦点和蓝宝石晶体的相对三维移动,在蓝宝石晶体衬底上进行精确扫描,得到了线宽约61 nm的纳米线,纳米线间的最小间距达到142 nm左右.利用等离子体模型解释了加工得到的纳米条纹的产生原因,研究了激光功率、扫描速度对加工分辨率的影响.最终本工作实现了超越光学衍射极限的加工精度,为实现利用飞秒激光对高硬度材料的微纳结构制备提供了参考.  相似文献

Lot sizing procedures for discrete and dynamic demand form a distinct class of inventory control problems, usually referred to asmaterial requirements planning. A general integer programming formulation is presented, covering an extensive range of problems: single-item, multi-item, and multi-level optimization; conditions on lot sizes and time phasing; conditions on storage and production capacities; and changes in production and storage costs per unit. The formulation serves as a uniform framework for presenting a problem and a starting point for developing and evaluating heuristic and tailor-made optimum-seeking techniques.  相似文献

Mechanisms of ‘environmental decoherence’ such as surface scattering, Elliot–Yafet process and precession mechanisms, as well as their influence on the spin phase relaxation are considered and compared. It is shown that the ‘spin ballistic’ regime is possible, when the phase relaxation length for the spin part of the wave function (L(s)) is much greater than the phase relaxation length for the ‘orbital part’ (L(e)). In the presence of an additional magnetic field, the spin part of the electron's wave function (WF) acquires a phase shift due to additional spin precession about that field. If the structure length L is chosen to be L(s)>L>L(e), it is possible to ‘wash out’ the quantum interference related to the phase coherence of the ‘orbital part’ of the WF, retaining at the same time that related to the phase coherence of the spin part and, hence, to reveal corresponding conductance oscillations.  相似文献

In this study, Al/p-Si and Al/Bi4Ti3O12/p-Si structures are fabricated and their interface states (Nss), the values of series resistance (Rs), and AC electrical conductivity (σac) are obtained each as a function of temperature using admit- tance spectroscopy method which includes capacitance-voltage (C-V) and conductance-voltage (G-V) measurements. In addition, the effect of interfacial Bi4Ti3012 (BTO) layer on the performance of the structure is investigated. The voltage- dependent profiles of Nss and Rs are obtained from the high-low frequency capacitance method and the Nicollian method, respectively. Experimental results show that Nss and Rs, as strong functions of temperature and applied bias voltage, each exhibit a peak, whose position shifts towards the reverse bias region, in the depletion region. Such a peak behavior is attributed to the particular distribution of Nss and the reordering and restructuring of Nss under the effect of temperature. The values of activation energy (Ea), obtained from the slope of the Arrhenius plot, of both structures are obtained to be bias voltage-independent, and the Ea of the metal-ferroelectric-semiconductor (MFS) structure is found to be half that of the metal-semiconductor (MS) structure. Furthermore, other main electrical parameters, such as carrier concentration of acceptor atoms (NA), built-in potential (Vbi), Fermi energy (EF), image force barrier lowering (△φb), and barrier height (φb), are extracted using reverse bias C 2-V characteristics as a function of temperature.  相似文献

The subwavelength focusing properties of diffractive plasmonic planar lenses (DPLs) and Fresnel zone plate plasmonic planar lenses (FZPs) have been compared in this paper. To that end, we use the same lens material, incident wavelength, thickness and focal length for comparison. Both DPLs and FZPs consist of central circular slits surrounded by transparent and opaque zones and can get clear focusing performances. By using the rigorous electromagnetic numerical method, the fields in the focal region are analyzed in detail, and our results demonstrate that FZP can generate higher transmission efficiency, and higher peak field intensity at the focal plane. Focusing polarization properties of the lens illuminated by linearly polarized state, are calculated and analyzed also. The numerical results show that both the DPL and the FZP produce asymmetrical focal spot distributions with a low f-number. To the FZP, the full-width at half-maximum (FWHM) varies from 256 nm (along y-axis) to 516 nm(along x-axis) and to the DPL, the FWHM varies from 256 nm(along y-axis) to 580 nm(along x-axis), respectively. But for a high f-number, the asymmetrical performance of the focal spot will be reduced due to complicated electromagnetical field interferences and micro waveguide effect. Otherwise, the DPL can get a higher depolarization effect than the FZP does.  相似文献
