Picosecond control of coherent magnetisation dynamics in permalloy thin films by picosecond magnetic field pulse shaping

We have measured the response of a 20×10 μm, 8 nm thin NiFe (80:20) permalloy film due to excitation by short in-plane magnetic field pulses. We will show that using a two-pulse-technique a complete control of the precessional motion of the magnetisation can be achieved on picosecond timescales. Furthermore, we will present numerical calculations which show that a complete suppression of magnetisation ringing after switching can only be realised by a cascade of short field pulses.     

Crystal structure and magnetic ordering of RNi Si compounds

The element distributions and the magnetic ordering behaviour of compounds RNi₁₀Si₂ (R = Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm) have been studied by neutron powder diffraction down to temperatures of 1.6 K. The compounds crystallize in an ordered variant of the ThMn₁₂ structure type in the tetragonal space group P4/nmm. An ordered 1:1 distribution of Ni and Si on sites 4d and 4e, respectively, corresponds to a modulation vector [0, 0, 1] with respect to the space group I4/mmm of the ThMn₁₂ structure. TbNi₁₀Si₂ orders antiferromagnetically below T _N = 4.5 K with a magnetic propagation vector of [0, 0, 1/2]. The magnetic Tb moments, 8.97(2) /Tb atom at 1.6 K, are aligned along the c-axis. The Ni sites in TbNi₁₀Si₂ do not carry any ordered magnetic moments. The compounds with R = Dy, Ho, Er, and Tm are paramagnetic down to 1.6 K and 3.0 K, respectively. Riemannian Manifolds in Which Certain Curvature Operator Has Constant Eigenvalues along Each Circle

Riemannian manifolds for which a natural curvature operator has constant eigenvalues on circles are studied. A local classification in dimensions two and three is given. In the 3-dimensional case one gets all locally symmetric spaces and all Riemannian manifolds with the constant principal Ricci curvatures r ₁ = r ₂ = 0, r ₃= 0 , which are not locally homogeneous, in general.     

The Potts model representation and a Robinson–Schensted correspondence for the partition algebra

We construct a correspondence between the set of partitions of a finite set M and the set of pairs of walks to the same vertex on a graph giving the Bratteli diagram of the partition algebra on M. This is the precise analogue of the correspondence between the set of permutations of a finite set and the set of pairs of Young tableaux of the same shape, called the Robinson–Schensted correspondence.     

自相似结构壳模型

为了扩展以简谐振子为基矢的常规壳模型（ＳＭ）计算到晕核，提出了自相似结构壳模型（ＳＳＭ）．通过对简谐振子动能项和势能项的重度规以及单粒子平均场模拟，可以得到ＳＳＭ中的单粒子轨道有态相关的圆频率，在ＳＳＭ中，晕核大的均方根半径、厚的中子皮以及Ｂｏｒｒｏｍｅａｎ晕核和的束缚态性质能够再现出来。     

一类新的插值结点

有界单连通区域Ｇ，其边界θＧ＝Г∈（１，α），α〉０。本计算节以广义Ｆａｂｅｒ多项式φｎ（ｚ）的零点为插值结点的Ｌａｇｒａｎｇｅ插值多项式的逼近性质，得到了它对Ａ（Ｇ↑－）中的函数的一致逼近阶和平均逼近阶的估计，并且得到了它对Ｅ＾ｐ（Ｇ）中函数的平均逼近阶的估计，还指出关于平均逼近阶的估计是不可改进的。
