Evaluation of a purge-and-trap injection system for capillary gas chromatography-microwave induced plasma-atomic emission spectrometry for the determination of volatile selenium compounds in water

A method is presented for the selective determination of the volatile selenium species dimethylselenide and dimethyldiselenide, using a commercially available purge-and-trap injection system coupled to capillary gas chromatography-microwave induced plasma-atomic emission spectrometry. The efficiency of the purging step was evaluated and the parameters affecting the purge and trap processes were optimized. The method was applied to the determination of volatile selenium compounds in lake water. Relative detection limits of 2ng/l for dimethylselenide and dimethyldiselenide, corresponding to an absolute detection limit of 10 pg, were achieved.

Summary Further to Gilpin's observations in liquid chromatography of the irreversible transformation of alkyl grafts, following the replacement of an organic mobile phase by an aqueous one, we describe some gas chromatographic experiments which lead to similar (log V_s, I/T) plots, as a consequence of the same solvent release process.We use paraffin films on siliceous supports or hydroxylated liquid substrates or C₂₂-alkyl bonded silica. These experiments demonstrate that this irreversible transition and the melting-like reversible transition are completely different phenomena. They confirm the existence of at least three kinds of monomeric alkyl films.     

Optimum gas chromatographic conditions in wall-coated capillary columns. Extended and simplified forms of the Golay-equation

Band broadening in capillary columns is satisfactorily described by the Golay-equation extended to situations of appreciable pressure drop by Giddings. In practice, however, several simplifications are often made. The effect of these simplifications on the calculated values of the minimum plate height and optimum carrier gas velocity are treated systematically.

气相色谱法测定饮料中乙醇含量

采用样品用注射器吸附后直接经C18柱后进样，用气相色谱法测定，该方法适合多样饮料中的乙醇测定，平均回收率为98．6％，检出限为7．7mg/L。     

Investigations of precipitates in heat treated AgPd30/CuSn6 layers

The subject of the investigations are precipitation zones, which grew as a result of chemical diffusion in AgPd30/CuSn6 bimetals. These precipitation zones have been characterized by metallography, electron probe microanalysis and x-ray diffraction. The growth of precipitation zones in the plating layer and in the substrate layer in dependence on time have been determined. The use of x-ray diffraction alone for the identification of the precipitates could not supply satisfying results in every case. This problem was solved by the application of electron probe microanalysis using a correction method, which allows the estimation of the chemical composition of small particles.Dedicated to Professor Dr. rer. nat. 人尿中诺龙和炔诺酮代谢物的气相色谱-质谱分析

本文对合成的19-去甲雄烷醇酮的四个差向异构体混合物进行气相色谱分离,对诺龙和炔诺酮用药后,留取的人尿样通过化学预处理,MSTFA/TMSI衍生化反应,GC/MS分析,确证了尿样中诺龙的两个主要代谢产物为19-去甲雄酮和19-去甲原胆烷醇酮,炔诺酮的两个主要代谢物是四氢炔诺酮(THINE)的两个形式,可能是3α-OH-5α-THINE和3α-OH-5β-THINE,在炔诺酮代谢前期,还发现有诺龙的上述两个代谢物存在。     

Spin interaction with an ideal Fermi gas

We consider the equilibrium dynamics of a system consisting of a spin interacting with an ideal Fermi gas on the lattice , 3. We present two examples: when this system is unitarily equivalent to an ideal Fermi gas or to a spin in an ideal Fermi gas without interaction between them.     

Thermal decomposition of Cd(CH3COO)2·2H2O studied by a coupled TG-DTA-MS method

The thermal decomposition of cadmium acetate dihydrate in helium and in air atmosphere has been investigated by means of a coupled TG-DTA-MS method combined with X-ray diffraction analysis. Dehydration of Cd(CH₃COO)₂·2H₂O is a two-stage process with Cd(CH₃COO)₂·H₂O as intermediate. The way of Cd(CH₃COO)₂ decomposition strongly depends on the surrounding gas atmosphere and the rate of heating. CdO, acetone and CO₂ are the primary products of decomposition in air. In helium decomposition goes by two parallel and consecutive reactions in which intermediates, Cd and CdCO₃, are formed. Metallic cadmium oxidizes and cadmium carbonate decomposes giving CdO. Some of the metallic cadmium, depending on the heating rate and the concentration of oxygen, evaporates. Acetone is partially oxidized in secondary reactions with oxygen.
