Highly efficient kinetic resolution of racemic secondary alkyl diazoacetates in intramolecular carbon-hydrogen insertion reactions has been achieved using chiral dirhodium(ii) carboxamidates. Products formed from catalytic diazo decomposition of racemic 2-octyl diazoacetate and, separately, its (2R)- and (2S)-enantiomeric forms, as well as bothcis- andtrans-2-methylcyclohexyl diazoacetates, have been systematically evaluated. Enantioselectivities up to 99 %ee have been obtained for -lactone formation. -Lactone production has been observed and, although minor with cyclohexyl diazoacetates, is the major insertion pathway for diazo decomposition of 2-octyl diazoacetate.Dedicated to Academician of the RAS N. Summary Electrostatic and structural properties of a set of -lactam, -lactam and nonlactam compounds have been analyzed and compared with those of a model of the natural substrate d-alanyl-d-alanine for the carboxy- and transpeptidase enzymes. This first comparison of the electrostatic properties has been based on a distributed multipole analysis of high-quality ab initio wave functions of the substrate and potential antibiotics. The electrostatic similarity of the substrate and active compounds is apparent, and contrasts with the electrostatic properties of the noninhibitors. This has been quantified to give a reasonable correlation with the MIC (Minimum Concentration for Inhibition) and with kinetic data (k2/K) in accordance with the model for interaction of the lactam compounds with dd-peptidase. These correlations provide a better prediction of antibacterial activity than purely structural criteria.  相似文献

-Irradiation of -oxo-bridged binuclear iron complexes FeIII 2OL n in a glycerol or dimethylformamide matrix at 77 K affords unstable mixed-valence FeIIFIII forms resulting from the transfer of a mobile electron generated by the ionizing radiation. These nonequilibrium forms retain the ligand environment of the original complexes, and their ESR spectra at 77–200 K are characterized by an asymmetric signal with an axially anisotropicg-factor, which is in agreement with the spectra of the FeIIFe syu forms obtained by chemical reduction.Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. Summary A high-performance liquid chromatographic method is reported for the resolution of the enantiomers of a series of fused -lactams (2,7-diaza-3-oxo[3.3.0]octan-6-ones) with probable anti-HIV and anticancer activity. Resolution was achieved on a Chiralcel® OD column, cellulose tris-(3,5-dimethylphenyl carbamate) adsorbed on macroporous silica gel; mixtures ofn-hexane and isopropyl alcohol in different proportions were used as the mobile phase. Miniaturizing all dimensions of apparatus, such as electronics and computers, is the current trend followed by scientists in various fields. The idea of Lab-on-a-Chip has significantly expanded and found its broad applications in analytical chemistry. Microplasmas can act as a sample excitation source and are the miniaturized versions of full-sized plasmas. These can be created in various forms, such as direct current, microwave induced, capacitively coupled and inductively coupled plasmas. Scaling down the size would reduce the amount of gases, liquids and consumables required, as well as the sample analysis time, which in turn would decrease the operating costs. Therefore, several research groups are involved in the development of microplasmas for utilisation in analytical instruments.  相似文献

Recent IR spectroscopic studies on the surface properties of fresh Mo2N/-Al2O3 catalyst are presented in this paper. The surface sites of fresh Mo2N/-Al2O3, both Mo+ (0<<2) and N sites, are probed by CO adsorption. Two characteristic IR bands were observed at 2045 and 2200 cm-1, due to linearly adsorbed CO on Mo and N sites, respectively. The surface N sites are highly reactive and can react with adsorbed CO to form NCO species. Unlike adsorbed CO on reduced passivated one, the adsorbed CO on fresh Mo2N/-Al2O3 behaves similarly to that of group VIII metals, suggesting that fresh nitride resembles noble metals. It is found that the surface of Mo nitrides slowly transformed into sulfide under hydrotreating conditions, which could be the main reason for the activity drop of molybdenum nitride catalysts in the presence of sulfur-containing species. Some surface reactions, such as selective hydrogenation of 1,3-butadiene, isomerization of 1-butene, and hydrodesulfurization of thiophene, were studied on both fresh and reduced passivated Mo2N/-Al2O3 catalysts using IR spectroscopy. The mechanisms of these reactions are proposed. The adsorption and reaction behaviors of these molecules on fresh molybdenum nitride also resemble those on noble metals, manifesting the unique properties of fresh molybdenum nitride catalysts. Mo and N sites are found to play different roles in the adsorption and catalytic reactions on the fresh Mo2N/-Al2O3 catalyst. Generally, Mo sites are the main active sites for the adsorption and reactions of adsorbates; N sites are not directly involved in catalytic reactions but they modify the electronic properties of Mo sites.  相似文献

Fused silica capillaries deactivated with D4 and coated with OV-1 were subjected to cobalt-60 gamma radiation in order to elucidate the effect of incident radiation on column performance. The chromatographic performance of these open tubular columns in which OV-1 was polymerized in situ was found to be dependent on the dosage of radiation and was evaluated before and after the irradiated columns were rinsed with solvent. Of the radiation dosages employed, 3 MRad produced superior chromatographic performance coupled with very favorable residual surface activity.  相似文献

The effects of60Co-gamma radiation and of various sample composition on the reduction of hematite to iron in the graphite-iron(III) oxide system in air were studied using isothermal and dynamic TG techniques. Kinetic analysis of isothermal data were performed according to various theoretical models of heterogeneous reactions and the results showed that the three-dimensional phase boundary model gives the best fit of data. Analysis of dynamic TG data were made using Ozawa integral method, Coats-Redfern method and a composite method based on the modified Coats and redfern equation. The activation parameters were calculated and the results of the different methods were compared and discussed.Radiation apparently did not introduce a change in the reaction model or mechanism. However, there is a decrease in activation energy and frequency factor upon irradiation and a decrease in the half-life time of the reaction which is remarkable at the higher temperatures and higher doses.
Zusammenfassung Mittels isothermer und dynamischer TG wurde im Graphit-Eisen(III)oxidsystem in Luft der Einfluß von60Co-Gammastrahlung und von verschiedenen Probenzusammensetzungen auf die Reduktion von Hämatit zu Eisen untersucht. Entsprechend verschiedener theoretischer Modelle heterogener Reaktionen wurde eine kinetische Analyse der isothermen Daten durchgeführt und die Ergebnisse zeigten, daß das dreidimensionale Phasengrenzenmodell die beste Übereinstimmung liefert. Die Analyse der dynamischen TG-Daten wurde mittels der Integralmethode von Ozawa, der Coats-Redfem-Methode und einer zusammengesetzten Methode auf der Grundlage der modifizierten Coats und Redfern Gleichung durchgeführt. Die Aktivierungsparameter wurden berechnet und die Ergebnisse der verschiedenen Methoden miteinander verglichen und diskutiert.Strahlung scheint keine Änderung des Reaktionsmodelles oder des Mechanismus hervorzurufen. Durch Bestrahlung gibt es aber ein Absinken der Aktivierungsenergie und des Frequenzfaktors sowie ein Absinken der Halbwertszeit der Reaktion, was bei höheren Temperaturen und höherer Dosis bemerkenswert groß ist.

The concentration sensitivity of a thermal conductivity detector (TCD) depends, among other factors, on the amount of sample mixture in the detector's sensing cell. Since the cell volume has to be appropriately matched with column diameter, it makes the concentration sensitivity of a TCD dependent on column diameter and, therefore, on the speed of gas chromatography. Through reduction of column diameter, higher speed tends to lead to a reduction in the concentration sensitivity of the cell. The factor which the most directly affects the concentration sensitivity of a TCD cell is the heat power conducted through the cell. The higher the power, the greater the sensitivity. The limit of detection of a TCD depends on the concentration-sensitivity of its cell and on the level of statistical errors in the measurement. The errors increase with increasing analysis speed. As the column diameter is reduced, the errors cause additional worsening (on top of the decrease in concentration sensitivity) of the detection limit, dynamic range, and other performance characteristics of the TCD.  相似文献

Effect of gamma radiation on microbial population of natural casings   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The high microbial load of fresh and dry natural casings increases the risk of meat product contamination with pathogenic microorganisms, agents of foodborn diseases.

The aim of this work is to evaluate the killing effect of gamma radiation of the resident microbial population of pork and beef casings, to improve their hygiene and safety.

Portions of fresh pork (small intestines and colon) and dry beef casings were irradiated in a Cobalt 60 source with with absorbed doses of 1,2,5 and 10 kGy.

The D10 values of total aerobic microorganisms in the pork casings were 1.65 kGy for colon and 1.54 kGy for small intestine. The D10 value found in beef dry casings (small intestine) was 10.17 kGy. Radurization with 5 kGy was able to reduce, at least, 6 logs the coliform bacteria in pork casings. The killing effect over faecal Streptococci was 4 logs for pork fresh casings and 2 logs for beef dry casings. Gamma radiation with 5 kGy proved to be a convenient method to reduce substantially the microbial population of pork fresh casings. Otherwise, the microbial population of beef dry casings still resisted to 10 kGy.  相似文献
