This didactic paper summarizes the mathematical expressions needed for analysis of fluorescence anisotropy decays from polarized frequency-domain fluorescence data. The observed values are the phase angle difference between the polarized components of the emission and the modulated anisotropy, which is the ratio of the polarized and amplitude-modulated components of the emission. This procedure requires a separate measurement of the intensity decay of the total emission. The expressions are suitable for any number of exponential components in both the intensity decay and the anisotropy decay. The formalism is generalized for global analysis of anisotropy decays measured at different excitation wavelengths and for different intensity decay times as the result of quenching. Additionally, we describe the expressions required for associated anisotropy decays, that is, anisotropy decays where each correlation time is associated with a decay time present in the anisotropy decay. And finally, we present expressions appropriate for distributions of correlation times. This article should serve as a reference for researchers using frequency-domain fluorometry. 相似文献

A modified arrangement of the adaptive optical retinal imaging system that we described previously is proposed to reduce the intensity loss in the system, so that it works properly even when the intensity of light incident on the eye is very weak. Experiments to verify the system performance were conducted using a conventional artificial eye with a specular reflector as a model retina. We observed that an image of a test target (mimicking a retina) blurred by an aberration plate (mimicking the ocular aberrations) was successfully restored in the adaptive optics fashion even when the intensity of the incident light probing the aberration of the eye became about 1.5% of that required in the previous system. Effect of a more realistic artificial eye with a scattering object as a model retina was also examined experimentally. We found that not only the ocular aberrations, but also the retinal scattering cause the wave-front deformations and that our adaptive optics system compensates for both of them simultaneously. 相似文献

A phase-shifting point diffraction interferometer (PS/PDI) with point sources of two single mode optical fibers has been developed,
which will be appropriate for the surface figure measurement of large aperture optics on a sub-nanometer scale. To reduce
the measurement error factors, a fiber optic plate (FOP) is used as a projection plane for interference pattern. Errors caused
by imperfection of optical alignment, such as position of point sources and tilt of FOP, are minimized by analyzing the measured
phase data with an original method. Measurement accuracy in the PS/ PDI is estimated with the interference pattern produced
by the two optical fiber sources. If inhomogeneity of the FOP and a systematic error of the PS/PDI are eliminated, the measurement
accuracy of the present system is estimated to be less than 4nm P-V and 0.7nm rms, respectively, at a measurement wavelength

Transient shock waves in a confined elliptical chamber are experimentally investigated. Quantitative results of the pressure
distribution are obtained for an air-filled cavity. Lower bounding surfaces of different geometrical shapes can be inserted
making it possible to get chambers with varying height. An electrical discharge across a pair of electrodes inside the cavity
gives rise to the shock waves. Double pulsed holographic interferometry is used to study the propagation and focusing process
of the waves. The results are quantitatively evaluated by using the method of two-reference-beam holography. The angular pressure
distribution behind the converging wave front is presented for different geometries of an air-filled cavity. The pressure
distribution is non-homogeneous but symmetric along the wave front. The pressure level is higher for the geometry where the
height of the chamber decreases with the radial distance from the outgoing focus and lower for increasing height of the chamber.
In addition, shock waves in a water-filled cavity are studied. In this case qualitative results are obtained.

When a surface is illuminated by laser, the field of diffusing reflective light can be described by Fresnel-Kirchhoff integration
in the region of Fresnel. If the correlation, before and after the change of intensity field, is analysed by statistical method,
three governing equations for variations of intensity field and speckle movement formulas can be obtained. In these equations,
the surface motion, deformation and wavelength change are all considered to cause the speckle movement.

提出一种应用机器视觉技术的激光干涉法, 可以研究压电材料的逆压电系数. 在传统干涉测量法中引入机器视觉实现干涉图像灰度最佳估计, 使用数字图像处理技术, 一方面应用降噪算法有效去除激光干涉图样中的噪声, 从而确定激光干涉场的光强分布, 另一方面将干涉图样的明暗变化进一步转化为可量度的灰度变化以提高测量分辨力. 通过合理设计算法, 该方法中对位移的理论测量分辨力可以提高达一个数量级, 为干涉光波长的1/1024, 因此在逆压电系数d31 的实验测量中可以有效提高分辨力.

为实现水下中低频声信号的探测识别,通过研究水下多声源相干探测信号的特征,理论上给出了相干探测信号频谱混叠情况下的特征表达式,并提出了一种基于Hilbert变换的信号解调处理方法,实现了水下多声源相干探测信号频谱混叠情况下各声源发声频率的解调.该方法将探测信号经过滤波平滑处理之后进行Hilbert变换,得到信号的解析形式,然后对解析信号模值的平方进行二次滤波平滑等处理,分离混叠在一起的频带,将得到的信号进行频谱分析,根据频移值计算得到水下各个声源的发声频率.在光学暗室下搭建激光相干探测系统,对2~6kHz的水下声信号进行实验,实验结果表明,该方法可以有效分离探测信号中混叠在一起的信号频带,并准确提取各水下声信号的发声频率,频率提取重复性不大于2.5Hz. 相似文献

A modified two-aperture speckle shear interferometer that eliminates the contribution of the in-plane component and its derivative to the phase change, and yields a fringe pattern corresponding to the first-order partial derivatives of the out-of-plane displacement component, is reported in this note.
