Global Optimization: On Pathlengths in Min-Max Graphs

Let f be a smooth nondegenerate real valued function on a finite dimensional, compact and connected Riemannian manifold. The bipartite min-max graph is defined as follows. Its nodes are formed by the set of local minima and the set of local maxima. Two nodes (a local minimum and a local maximum) are connected in by means of an edge if some trajectory of the corresponding gradient flow connects them. Given a natural number k, we construct a function f such that the length of the shortest path in between two specific local minima exceeds k. The latter construction is independent of the underlying Riemannian metric.     

IR Reflection Spectra of Ferroelectric Ceramics Based on Solid Solutions of Lead Zirconate-Titanate

We have investigated the IR reflection spectra of ferroelectric ceramics based on solid solutions of lead zirconate-titanate with a rhombohedral structure obtained by high-pressure cold precompaction. In the 55–65-cm^–1 frequency range, we have revealed by experiment that the soft ferroelectric-active mode for the ceramics compacted by a higher pressure under the conditions of cold compaction is shifted into the region of lower frequencies. For the ceramics precompacted at various pressures, we have determined the frequencies of longitudinal and transverse phonons and calculated the frequency dependences of the imaginary and real parts of the dielectric constant.     

Continuous-flow optical pumping NMR in a closed circuit system

In a typical continuous-flow optical pumping setup, the chemical shift of xenon in the adsorbed phase depends on the gas flow rate due to warming of the sample surface by the gas stream. Calibration of the system using the (207)Pb resonance of solid lead nitrate is necessary to determine the actual sample temperature. Optimum pulse repetition rates are strongly affected by gas flow and spin-lattice relaxation rates. The interplay of flow and pulse repetition rate alters signal intensity ratios and may lead to the complete suppression of signals.     

瓶颈开口角对二维颗粒流的影响

实验研究了平面传送带上颗粒流的特性，主要包括传送带出口处开口宽度以及瓶颈开口角度对颗粒流的影响.实验结果发现，改变瓶颈开口角度θ，当θ大于15°时，颗粒流量Q随着cosθ呈线性变化.同时，颗粒流量Q与传送带速度v以及开口大小R也密切相关，而在θ小于15°时，颗粒流量Q基本不随开口角度变化.     

圆锥透镜对偏轴球面波光束的衍射模式

球面波入射圆锥透镜产生的出射光束中心光斑直径较小且焦深长，适合通讯领域长距离测量和准直。针对实际操作中球面波光束入射时很可能与圆锥透镜的中心轴线发生偏移或倾斜，使衍射光场发生变化，着重研究圆锥透镜对偏轴球面波光束的衍射模式，并通过衍射理论和稳相法分析，研究其径向衍射光场的分布特性。使用半径为15mm，底角为1°的圆锥透镜进行计算机仿真和实验，最后将实验结果与理论分析和仿真结果相比较，证明球面波的曲率半径和出射光束的传输距离越小，偏轴对衍射模式的影响越小。该研究结果表明：在激光通讯等长距离通信中，使用曲率半径小的球面波光束代替平面波入射圆锥透镜，不仅可以扩展焦深，还可以降低偏轴对测量的影响。     

车辆的长度和速度对单车道混合交通流的影响

在NaSch交通流模型的基础上，建立了单车道上由两种长度不一样、可分别以不同最大速度行驶的车辆构成的混合交通流模型.在周期性边界条件下，通过计算机模拟研究了车辆的长度、最大速度和混合比例系数对混合交通流的影响. 关键词： 元胞自动机 混合交通流 计算机模拟     

远场来流对过冷熔体中球状晶体生长的影响

利用渐近分析方法研究了远场来流引起的对流对过冷熔体中球状晶体的生长形态的影响.结果表明,由远场来流导致的对流使得正在生长的球状晶体的界面在向着来流的前部朝来流方向相反的方向生长, 并且提高了朝来流的相反方向的生长速度, 在背风方向衰减；正在衰减的球状晶体的界面在向着来流的前部加速衰减, 在背风方向减缓衰减. 关键词： 球状晶体 远场来流 对流 界画形态     

基于经验模式分解的拖曳式声纳拖船噪声抵消研究

拖曳式线列阵声纳的拖船噪声具有多途角扩展等特点，并且是一个非平稳过程，使得对该噪声的消除或抑制是一大难点。经验模式分解是一种用于分析非线性非平稳信号的新方法，该方法自适应地将嵌于数据内部的多个固有模式函数逐一分解开来。本文尝试利用经验模式分解方法分离出水听器接收信号中的拖船干扰噪声，从而达到消除干扰的目的。海上试验数据的处理结果充分验证了这种方法的可行性。
