Let H be the extended Cuntz algebra over the Hilbert space H. Since its zero grade part H0 is the C*-inductive limit of B(Hr), we look for some family of representations on an inductive limit of Hr as r. When such construction is shaped according to the structure of H0, von Neumanns notion of a reference sequence of unit vectors for Hilbert infinite tensor products emerges; after a further Rieffel induction step, a class IPR[H] of representations of H arises. For any two such representations, we describe explicitly their associated intertwiners. Any two representations in IPR[H] are either disjoint or unitarily equivalent. Actions of the group by translation on sequences of unit vectors are involved, as well as the ideals of .  相似文献

We study the continuum model for epitaxial thin film growth from Phys. D 132 (1999) 520-542, which is known to simulate experimentally observed dynamics very well. We show existence, uniqueness and regularity of solutions in an appropriate function space, and we characterize the existence of nontrivial equilibria in terms of the size of the underlying domain. In an investigation of asymptotical behavior, we give a weak assumption under which the ω-limit set of the dynamical system consists only of steady states. In the one-dimensional setting we can characterize the set of steady states and determine its unique asymptotically stable element. The article closes with some illustrative numerical examples.  相似文献

The existence of global smooth solutions to the multi-dimensional hydrodynamic model for plasmas of electrons and positively charged ions is shown under the assumption that the initial densities are close to a constant. The model consists of the conservation laws for the particle densities and the current densities, coupled to the Poisson equation for the electrostatic potential. Furthermore, it is proved that the particle densities converge exponentially fast to the (constant) steady state. The proof uses a higher-order energy method inspired from extended thermodynamics.  相似文献

We consider the growth curve model with covariance structures: positive-definite, uniform covariance structure and serial covariance structure. Two types of prediction problems are studied in this paper. One is called the conditional prediction problem and the other is called the extended prediction problem. For both types of prediction problems, the mean squared error for a serial covariance structure is obtained for the estimates based on the conditional expectation: the mean squared error for an unrestricted covariance structure is compared with the mean squared error for a uniform covariance structure or a serial covariance structure. This paper deals with secondary bifurcations near a double eigenvalue of a nonlinear equation with two parameters. Utilizing symmetries (or more generally, equivariances ) and introducing two new parameters, we give some extended systems so that the double singular points, secondary bifurcation points and initial secondary branches respectively become their regular solutions. The methods in this paper not only give more general conditions of secondary bifurcation but also avoid the adjacent singularities of existing extended systems for computing the simple bifurcation points on non-trivial solution branches A numerical example is presented, showing the effectiveness of our methods.  相似文献

Summary We study the effective electron mass at the Fermi level in Kane-type semiconductors on the basis of fourth order in effective mass theory and taking into account the interactions of the conduction electrons, heavy holes, light holes and split-off holes, respectively. The results obtained are then compared to those derived on the basis of the well-known three-band Kane model. It is found, takingn-Hg1−x Cd x Te as an example, that the effective electron mass at the Fermi level in accordance with fourth-order model depends on the Fermi energy, magnetic quantum number and the electron spin respectively due to the influence of band nonparabolicity only. The dependence of effective mass on electron spin is due to spin-orbit splitting parameter of the valence band in three-band Kane model and the Fermi energy due to band nonparabolicity in two-band Kane model. The same mass exhibits an oscillatory magnetic-field dependence for all the band models as expected since the origin of oscillations in the effective mass in nonparabolic compounds is the same as that of the Shubnikov-de Hass oscillations. In addition, the corresponding results for parabolic energy bands have been obtained from the generalized expressions under certain limiting conditions.  相似文献

The magnetic properties of the one-dimensional Hubbard model with a hardcore interaction on a ring (periodic boundary conditions) are investigated. At finite temperatures it is shown to behave up to exponentially small corrections as a pure paramagnet. An explicit expression for the ground-state degeneracies is derived. The eigenstates of this model are used to perform a perlurbational treatment for large but finite interactions. In first order inU 1 an effective Hamiltonian for the one-dimensional Hubbard model is derived. It is the Hamiltonian of the one-dimensional Hcisenberg model with antiferromagnetic couplings between nearest neighbor spins. An asymptotic expansion for the ground-state energy is given. The results are valid for arbitrary densities of electrons.  相似文献

本文分别以水和乙二醇为工质,在Re数范围为:600~40000,Pr数范围为:5.5~110之间,对四根分别插入三种不同扭率螺旋扭带的三维内助管内的换热和流阻特性进行了实验研究。结果表明:三维内肋管内加装扭带的强化传热技术适用于低Re数下高Pr数工质的管内对流换热强化。根据实验值得到了流阻和换热关联式。  相似文献
