Positive solutions of discrete third-order three-point right focal boundary value problems

We consider linear and nonlinear boundary value problems for third-order difference equations with three-point right focal boundary conditions. In the linear case, the existence of positive solutions corresponding to the first eigenvalue of the problem is established and an interval estimate for the first eigenvalue is obtained. In the nonlinear case, sufficient conditions for the existence and nonexistence of positive solutions are obtained. An example is included at the end of the paper to illustrate the sharpness of our results.     

Explicit error estimate for the nonconforming wilson's element

In this article, we study the explicit expressions of the constants in the error estimate of the nonconforming finite element method. We explicitly obtain the approximation error estimate and the consistency error estimate for the Wilson's element without the regular assumption, respectively, which implies the final finite element error estimate. Such explicit a priori error estimates can be used as computable error bounds.     

On eigenvalue problems with Robin type boundary conditions having indefinite coefficients

A Robin type boundary condition with a sign-changing coefficient is treated. First, the associated linear elliptic eigenvalue problem is studied, where the existence of a principal eigenvalue is discussed by the use of a variational approach. Second, the associated semilinear elliptic boundary value problem of logistic type is studied and the one parameter-dependent structure of positive solutions is investigated, where results obtained are due to the construction of suitable super- and subsolutions by using the principal positive eigenfunctions of the linear eigenvalue problem.     

Asymptotic approximation for the solution to a semilinear parabolic problem in a thin star‐shaped junction

A semilinear parabolic problem is considered in a thin 3‐D star‐shaped junction that consists of several thin curvilinear cylinders that are joined through a domain (node) of diameter The purpose is to study the asymptotic behavior of the solution u_ε as ε→0, ie, when the star‐shaped junction is transformed in a graph. In addition, the passage to the limit is accompanied by special intensity factors and in nonlinear perturbed Robin boundary conditions. We establish qualitatively different cases in the asymptotic behavior of the solution depending on the value of the parameters {α_i}and {β_i}. Using the multiscale analysis, the asymptotic approximation for the solution is constructed and justified as the parameter ε→0. Namely, in each case, we derive the limit problem (ε=0)on the graph with the corresponding Kirchhoff transmission conditions (untypical in some cases) at the vertex, define other terms of the asymptotic approximation and prove appropriate asymptotic estimates that justify these coupling conditions at the vertex, and show the impact of the local geometric heterogeneity of the node and physical processes in the node on some properties of the solution.

利用GM(1,1)模型预测曲线波形

针对给出的函数y=f(x),x∈[a,b],将其值域进行n等分,设yi为其中任一分点,对应x=xi(i=1,2,…,m),用GM(1,1)模型对序列{x1,x2,…,xm}进行预测,得到曲线y=f(x)在下一段时间与直线y=yi的交点位置.当GM(1,1)模型的误差较大时,可利用带有残差修正的GM(1,1)模型进行残差修正,以提高GM(1,1)模型预测值的精确度.     

Hausdorff operators on the Heisenberg group

This paper is devoted to the high-dimensional and multilinear Hausdorff operators on the Heisenberg group H n. The sharp bounds for the strong type(p, p)(1 ≤ p ≤∞) estimates of n-dimensional Hausdorff operators on H n are obtained. The sharp bounds for strong(p, p) estimates are further extended to multilinear cases. As an application, we derive the sharp constant for the multilinear Hardy operator on H n. The weak type(p, p)(1 ≤ p ≤∞) estimates are also obtained.     

第二类端点奇异Fredholm积分方程的分数阶退化核方法

本文针对第二类端点奇异Fredholm积分方程构造基于分数阶Taylor展开的退化核方法，设计了两种计算格式，一是在全区间上使用分数阶Taylor展开式近似核函数，二是在包含奇点的小区间上采用分数阶插值，在剩余区间上采用分段二次多项式插值逼近核函数.讨论了两种退化核方法收敛的条件，并给出了混合插值法的收敛阶估计.数值算例表明对于非光滑核函数分数阶退化核方法有着良好的计算效果，且混合二次插值法比全区间上的分数阶退化核方法有着更广泛的适用范围.     

Optimal lower eigenvalue estimates for Hodge-Laplacian and applications

We consider the eigenvalue problem for Hodge-Laplacian on a Riemannian manifold M isometrically immersed into another Riemannian manifold $\overline{M}$. We first assume the pull back Weitzenböck operator of $\overline{M}$ bounded from below, and obtain an extrinsic lower bound for the first eigenvalue of Hodge-Laplacian. As applications, we obtain some rigidity results. Second, when the pull back Weitzenböck operator of $\overline{M}$ bounded from both sides, we give a lower bound of the first eigenvalue by the Ricci curvature of M and some extrinsic geometry. As a consequence, we prove a weak Ejiri type theorem, that is, if the Ricci curvature bounded from below pointwisely by a function of the norm square of the mean curvature vector, then M is a homology sphere. In the end, we give an example to show that all the eigenvalue estimates are optimal when $\overline{M}$ is the space form.     

Convergence of Solutions of General Dispersive Equations Along Curve

In this paper, the authors give the local L~2 estimate of the maximal operator S_(φ,γ)~* of the operator family {S_(t,φ,γ)} defined initially by ■which is the solution(when n = 1) of the following dispersive equations(~*) along a curve γ:■where φ : R~+→R satisfies some suitable conditions and φ((-?)~(1/2)) is a pseudo-differential operator with symbol φ(|ξ|). As a consequence of the above result, the authors give the pointwise convergence of the solution(when n = 1) of the equation(~*) along curve γ.Moreover, a global L~2 estimate of the maximal operator S_(φ,γ)~* is also given in this paper.
