In this letter, a comparison between three types (two linear and one nonlinear) of models of skeletal muscle stiffness is shown. Results are compared with experimental data for biceps brachii in the case of muscle stretching and with the Hill equation for a biological muscle. It is shown that results for nonlinear stiffness model in case of length-force relationship fits to the experimental data.  相似文献

Two d10 metal coordination polymers, [Zn(µ-Me2biim)Cl2] n (1) and [Cd3(MeHbiim)2(1,4-BDC)3] n (2) (Me2biim?=?N,N′-dimethyl-2,2′-biimidazole, MeHbiim?=?N-methyl-2,2′-biimidazole, 1,4-BDC?=?1,4-benzenedicarboxylate), were synthesized under hydrothermal conditions and characterized by elemental analysis, infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, and single-crystal X-ray crystallography. Complex 1 features an infinite neutral zigzag 1-D chain. Interchain hydrogen-bonding interactions further extend the 1-D arrangement to generate a 2-D supramolecular architecture. Complex 2 features a 3-D coordination polymer with α-Po net topology, based on linear trinuclear {Cd3O14N4} clusters. Both complexes have high thermal stability and exhibit strong luminescence at room temperature.  相似文献

A new class of high‐performance resins of combined molecular structure of both traditional phenolics and benzoxazines has been developed. The monomers termed as methylol‐functional benzoxazines were synthesized through Mannich condensation reaction of methylol‐functional phenols and aromatic amines, including methylenedianiline (4,4′‐diaminodiphenylmethane) and oxydianiline (4,4′‐diaminodiphenyl ether), in the presence of paraformaldehyde. For comparison, other series of benzoxazine monomers were prepared from phenol, corresponding aromatic amines, and paraformaldehyde. The as‐synthesized monomers are characterized by their high purity as judged from 1H NMR and Fourier transform infrared spectra. Differential scanning calorimetric thermograms of the novel monomers show two exothermic peaks associated with condensation reaction of methylol groups and ring‐opening polymerization of benzoxazines. The position of methylol group relative to benzoxazine structure plays a significant role in accelerating polymerization. Viscoelastic and thermogravimetric analyses of the crosslinked polymers reveal high Tg (274–343 °C) and excellent thermal stability when compared with the traditional polybenzoxazines. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A semicrystalline inorganic–organic hybrid crosslinked network containing polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) cores was constructed by the unusual hydrosilylation of the terminal vinyl groups of an internal acetylene‐containing silane linker by a POSS monomer. Products from the thermal treatments of this network in either argon or air at 250, 550, and 1000 °C, respectively, were characterized by Fourier transform infrared, Solid‐state 13C and 29Si magic angle spinning NMR, X‐ray diffraction and XPS analyses. The highly symmetrically functionalized POSS silica clusters, in the fluorite silica phase, in the network were found to remain unchanged on thermal treatment possibly due to the shielding of the silica core by the functionalities and a cancellation of thermal stresses on the silica core. Stabilization of the metastable α‐cristobalite phase, which is typically formed on cooling by a β‐ to α‐transition of the β‐cristobalite phase formed above 1400 °C, was observed in the amorphous regions in the network sample treated only to 1000 °C in air. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Copolymers of n‐butyl acrylate and phosphonium ionic liquid monomers possessing various alkyl substituents and counterions were synthesized through a combination of conventional free radical copolymerization and anion exchange. Differential scanning calorimetry and dynamic mechanical analysis provided the thermal and mechanical properties of these phosphonium cation‐containing random copolymers. Factors including alkyl chain length of phosphonium substituents, counterion type, as well as ionic concentration significantly influenced the association of phosphonium cations. Phosphonium ionomers with trialkyl substituents on phosphonium cations did not display the characteristic small‐angle X‐ray scattering peak, suggesting the absence of ionic clusters. However, low q peaks in wide‐angle X‐ray diffraction was indicative of significant concentration fluctuations wherein the ionic monomeric units associated. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Poly(ether carbonate)s (PPCs) with carbonate unit (CU) content ranging from 57.8 to 97.1% and number average molecular weight (Mn) around 100 kg/mol were conveniently prepared via copolymerization of CO2 and propylene oxide under combinatorial catalyst of rare earth ternary (RET) complex and double metal cyanide (DMC) complex. Enhancement of catalytic activity and reduction of propylene carbonate byproduct were realized due to synergetic effect of the two metal catalysts, where DMC can be activated in the presence of RET. Solubility fractionation confirmed that the obtained PPCs were copolymers, not physical blends of each polymer. Thermal performances of the PPCs were closely related to their CU content, their glass transition temperatures (Tg) were tunable in the range of 6.7–36.3 °C, which decreased with decreasing CU content, while their thermal stabilities were enhanced significantly, an increase of 50.5 °C in 50% weight loss temperature was observed when CU content decreased from 97.1 to 57.8%. Both shear storage modulus and complex viscosity increased with increasing CU content, which became more obvious at lower frequency, featuring well with the CU content in the PPCs. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The fabrication of three‐dimensional (3D) electrospun composite scaffolds was presented in this study. Layers of electrospun meshes made from composites of poly(lactide‐co‐glycolide acid) (PLGA) and hydroxyapatite (HA) were stacked and sintered using pressurized gas. Three HA concentrations of 5, 10, and 20 wt % were tested, and the addition of the HA nanoparticles decreased the tensile mechanical properties of the meshes with 20 wt % HA. However, after the gas absorption process, the fibers within the mesh sintered, which improved the mechanical properties more than twofold. The fabrication of 3D, porous, electrospun scaffolds was also demonstrated. The resulting 3D scaffolds had open porosity of up to 70% and modulus of ~20 MPa. This technique improves on the current electrospinning technology by overcoming the challenges of depositing a thick, 3D structure. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Two novel aryl glycosides were synthesized, which varied in the extent of unsaturation in the lipophilic part, from plant/crop-based renewable resource materials. Their liquid crystalline properties were characterized by optical polarizing microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry and X-ray diffraction. A successful preparation of polyamide 4 nanofibers via electrostatic spinning with diameters close to 100 nm is described. Polyamide 4 was prepared by the anionic ring‐opening polymerization of 2‐pyrrolidone and characterized. The effect of the system parameters (i.e., molar mass of the polymer, the solvent system) and the process parameters (i.e., the electrode‐to‐collector distance) during the electrostatic spinning have been studied. The morphology of the polyamide 4 fiber layers is given except molar mass of the polymer and the concentration of its solution primarily by the conformation of polyamide chains due to polyelectrolyte effect which was confirmed by viscosity measurements. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 以十八烷/聚(苯乙烯-甲基丙烯酸甲酯)(P(St-MMA))微胶囊为相变材料,硅橡胶作为载体,制备了十八烷/P(St-MMA)/硅橡胶复合材料。研究了微胶囊的加入方式及加入量,硅橡胶包覆方法。通过红外光谱(IR)和扫描电镜(SEM)研究复合材料的结构和形貌。通过力学性能测试如拉伸强度、扯断伸长率,确定最佳的加工方法。通过热重分析法(TG)、差示扫描量热法(DSC)和储热性能对复合材料的热性能进行研究。结果表明,十八烷制成微胶囊加入到硅橡胶中,且微胶囊加入量是2份时,十八烷/P(St-MMA)微胶囊/硅橡胶的热稳定性热稳定性及力学性能较好。室温硅橡胶包覆微胶囊掺混固化法制备的复合材料的力学性能优于直接共混后热固化法和混炼涂抹后热固化法。十八烷/P(MMA-St)/硅橡胶复合材料的焓值为67.6J/g,储能效果好。  相似文献
