A plano-convex aspheric lens is designed to collimate the emitted light of the fiber optics. In this paper even orders of general aspheres are used to describe the aspheric surfaces sag. To determine the aspheric coefficient, the even asphere polynomial are fitted on the computed sag data. The surface sag data is determined using genetic algorithm method. The surface sag was analyzed by the commercial optical software package ZEMAX. For typical fiber optics, the numerical aperture (NA) of 0.22 was assumed. With this specification, the expected output spot diagram of 20 mm and the maximum aperture of 25.4 mm have been obtained. A comparison between here presented lens and the similar type of conventional lens has been carried out; the proposed aspheric lens corrected the spherical aberration, which led to increase in the collimated distance. 相似文献

The Z-scan measurements for the non-centrosymmetric optical crystals β-BaTeMo2O9 (BTMO) were performed. The corresponding experiments were carried out using the 5 ns pulses of the second harmonic of a nanosecond Nd:YAG laser at the 532 nm wavelength. It was shown that the studied crystals possess promising third-order optical susceptibilities, which allow to use the crystal as optical limiters. The comparison with other oxide materials is presented. To clarify the origin of the observed effect, the electronic and optical properties of BTMO were calculated using the density functional theory (DFT)-based method. The performed calculations of the electronic and optical properties revealed certain peculiar features that can be suitable for the nonlinear optical applications. The relation between the observed nonlinear optical features and the calculated band structure is emphasized. The values of the calculated band gap and refractive index for β-BaTeMo2O9 are also reported. 相似文献

The delay in the nonlinear response of matter to intense laser pulses has been studied since a long time regarding its nuclear contribution. In contrast, the electronic part of the nonlinear response in wide-band-gap dielectrics, which is usually dominant, is not well explored regarding its delay, and previous studies have revealed that the timescale is below 1 fs. Here, the influence of delay times on the recently introduced method of subcycle-resolved probe retardation measurements is investigated using a simulation. In the model assumed, the electronic nonlinearity is divided into the third order Kerr effect and the plasma contribution due to conduction band population in the strong laser field. In the regime of close-to-collinear pump-probe geometries, the probe retardation shows both π- and 2π-oscillations in the pump-probe delay. Sub-femtosecond delay times influence the phase of the oscillations significantly, but it remains difficult to distinguish the influence of the Kerr response from the plasma contribution. 相似文献

The performance of an adaptive optics system depends on multiple factors, including the quality of the laser beam before being projected to the mesosphere. In general, cumbersome procedures are required to optimize the laser beam in terms of amplitude and phase. However, aberrations produced by the optics of the laser beam system are still detected during the operations due to, for example, uncertainty in the utilized models. In this paper we propose the use of feedback to overcome the presence of model uncertainty and disturbances. In particular we use a Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) for closed loop laser beam shaping using a setup of two deformable mirrors. The proposed method is studied and simulated to provide an automatic optimization of the Amplitude of the laser beam. The performance of the LQR control algorithm is evaluated via numerical simulations using the root mean square error (RMSE). The results show an effective amplitude correction of the laser system aberrations after 20 iterations of the algorithm, a RMSE less than 0.7 was obtained, with about 140 actuators per mirror and a separation of z=3 [m] among the mirrors. 相似文献

We present a comprehensive theory and an easy to follow method for the design and construction of a wideband homodyne detector for time-domain quantum measurements. We show how one can evaluate the performance of a detector in a specific time-domain experiment based on the electronic spectral characteristic of that detector. We then present and characterize a high-performance detector constructed using inexpensive, commercially available components such as low-noise high-speed operational amplifiers and high-bandwidth photodiodes. Our detector shows linear behavior up to a level of over 13 dB clearance between shot noise and electronic noise, in the range from DC to 100 MHz. The detector can be used for measuring quantum optical field quadratures both in the continuous-wave and pulsed regimes with standard commercial mode-locked lasers. 相似文献

The performance of a cryogenically cooled double‐crystal silicon monochromator was studied under high‐heat‐load conditions with total absorbed powers and power densities ranging from 8 to 780 W and from 8 to 240 W mm?2, respectively. When the temperature of the first crystal is maintained close to the temperature of zero thermal expansion of silicon, the monochromator shows nearly ideal performance with a thermal slope error of 0.6 µrad. By tuning the size of the first slit, the regime of the ideal performance can be maintained over a wide range of heat loads, i.e. from power densities of 110 W mm?2 (at total absorbed power of 510 W) to 240 W mm?2 (at total absorbed power of 240 W). 相似文献

Polymeric integrated-optical waveguides are prepared in a planar polymer chip by UV-laser lithographic methods. The waveguide samples are irradiated by an excimer laser at a wavelength Λ=248 nm with various irradiation parameters (different fluencies and irradiation doses). Mach-Zehnder interferometer is employed and the refractive index depth profiles of the waveguide samples are obtained. This profile covers two regions having exponential and Gaussian shapes. The model field distributions strongly depend on the refractive index of each region. The mode field distribution and the effective mode indices for each region have been calculated on the basis of a theoretical model and the experimentally measured data. 相似文献
