Melt processing is a critical step in the manufacture of polymer articles and is even more critical when dealing with inhomogeneous polymer–clay nanocomposites systems. The chemical composition, and in particular the clay type and its organic modification, also plays a major contribution in determining the final properties and in particular the thermal and long-term oxidative stability of the resulting polymer nanocomposites. Proper selection and tuning of the process variable should, in principle, lead to improved characteristics of the fabricated product. With multiphase systems containing inorganic nanoclays, however, this is not straightforward and it is often the case that the process conditions are chosen initially to improve one or more desired properties at the expense of others. 相似文献

A novel class of low-viscosity benzoxazines has been synthesized from melamine and formaldehyde with phenol or bisphenol A. The striking feature of the class of benzoxazines is the subtle combination of their inherently low viscosity at room temperature, good film-forming characteristics and high chemical and thermal stability mainly due to the introduction of melamine into the network of the polymers. The structure of the benzoxazines has been confirmed by proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Thermal properties of polybenzoxazine have been studied by differential scanning calorimetry, dynamic mechanical analysis and thermogravimetric analysis. Transparent polybenzoxazine films were easily obtained under solvent-free conditions, exhibiting significantly improved toughness compared to the conventional polybenzoxazines. Our research may open a new path for overcoming the present drawbacks of polybenzoxazines such as high brittleness, the difficulties in preparing films and poor processibility via tailoring the structures and properties of amine in the benzoxazines. 相似文献

Zinc sulfide (ZnS) thin films have been deposited on Si (1 0 0) substrate using ultrasonic spray pyrolysis. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis revealed that the films are (0 0 2) preferentially oriented with c-axis-oriented wurtzite structure. The crystallinity has been found to improve with film thickness in the 180–6000 nm range. Film structure has been analyzed by XRD, scanning electron microscope, FTIR, and Raman spectroscopies, while the stoichiometry has been verified by energy-dispersive spectroscopy and particle-induced X-ray emission techniques. Electrical properties of the grown films were characterized by current–voltage and capacitance–voltage measurements where, the films show better conducting behavior at higher thickness. 相似文献

The light intensity measurement and image visualization of multi-hole injection spray due to different hole arrangements and hole numbers were investigated. The light intensities and behavior characteristics of the GDI spray were analyzed through the axial and diagonal spray penetration, cone angle, and spray area from the spray images by using the image visualization system and image analysis system. In this paper, a numerical method to capture the shock wave propagation in 1‐dimensional fluid flow problems with 0 numerical dissipation is presented. Instead of using a traditional discrete grid, the new numerical method is built on a range‐discrete grid, which is obtained by a direct subdivision of values around the shock area. The range discrete grid consists of 2 types: continuous points and shock points. Numerical solution is achieved by tracking characteristics and shocks for the movements of continuous and shock points, respectively. Shocks can be generated or eliminated when triggering entropy conditions in a marking step. The method is conservative and total variation diminishing. We apply this new method to several examples, including solving Burgers equation for aerodynamics, Buckley‐Leverett equation for fractional flow in porous media, and the classical traffic flow. The solutions were verified against analytical solutions under simple conditions. Comparisons with several other traditional methods showed that the new method achieves a higher accuracy in capturing the shock while using much less grid number. The new method can serve as a fast tool to assess the shock wave propagation in various flow problems with good accuracy. 相似文献

This paper puts forward a new method to solve the electromagnetic parabolic equation (EMPE) by taking the vertically-layered inhomogeneous characteristics of the atmospheric refractive index into account. First, the Fourier transform and the convo- lution theorem are employed, and the second-order partial differential equation, i.e., the EMPE, in the height space is transformed into first-order constant coefficient differential equations in the frequency space. Then, by use of the lower triangular characteristics of the coefficient matrix, the numerical solutions are designed. Through constructing ana- lytical solutions to the EMPE, the feasibility of the new method is validated.
