To investigate the infrared photonic crystal devices numerically, the traditional finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method has been modified by combining with a new alternating direction implicit (ADI) algorithm. An improvement of two-five in speed over previous FDTD methods can be obtained by calculating the envelope rather than the fast-varying field, and the numerical errors are minimized. Consider the isolated localized coupled-cavity modes, the phenomenon of eigenmode splitting has been observed when the coupled-cavity structures in two dimension triangular dielectric photonic crystals are simulated. A simple interface element for analyzing contact friction problems is developed. Taking nodal displacements and contact stresses
as unknowns, this element can simulate frictional slippage, decoupling and re-bonding of two bodies initially mating or having
gaps at a common inteface. The method is based on the Finite Element Method and load incremental theory. The geometric and
static constrait conditions on contact surfaces are treated as additional conditions and are included in stiffness equations.
This simple element has the advantages of easy implementation into standard finite element programs and fast speed for convergence
as well as high accuracy for stress distribution in interface. Undesirable stress oscillations are also investigated whenever
large stress gradients exist over the contact surfaces. Exact integration or the conventional Gauss integration scheme used
to evaluate the interpolation function matrix of the interface element is found to be the source of the oscillations. Eigenmode
analysis demonstrates that the stress behavior of an interface element can be improved by using the Newton-Cotes integration
scheme. Finally, the test example of a strip footing problem is presented. 相似文献

A resonant Schottky pickup with high sensitivity, built by GSI, will be used for nuclear mass and lifetime measurement at CSRe. The basic concepts of Schottky noise signals, a brief introduction of the geometry of the detector, the transient response of the detector, and MAFIA simulated and perturbation measured results of characteristics are presented in this paper. The resonant frequency of the pickup is about 243 MHz and can be slightly changed at a range of 3 MHz. The unloaded quality factor is about 1072 and the shunt impedance is 76 kΩ. The measured results of the characteristics are in agreement with the MAFIA simulations. 相似文献

利用有限元分析法结合Fox-Li迭代法,考虑腔内本征模式与腔镜热形变的相互耦合作用,计算模拟了正支共焦非稳腔的本征模式分布,定量分析了高功率激光器腔镜热变形对输出光束质量的影响,重点讨论了腔镜热变形所引起的腔内本征模式相位特性的变化,并从波前功率谱密度、Zernike像差系数及光束质量值等角度对腔镜发生热形变前后的激光器输出光束的光束特性进行比较分析。研究结果表明:高功率激光器腔镜热形变对输出光束的光束质量会产生一定的影响,且随着激光输出功率的增大,镜面热形变引起的输出光束波前相位高频比例及Zernike高阶像差均会有所增大,波前畸变程度也明显变大,光束质量逐渐变差。 相似文献

A systematic research on the buoyancy instability in the natural convection boundary layer was conducted, including the basic
characteristics such as its spectral components, wave length and velocity, the location of its critical layer, and amplitude
distributions of the triple independent eigenmodes with the linear instability theory, the growth rates of its temperature
and velocity fluctuations and the corresponding neutral curves for the buoyancy eigenmode were also obtained. Results indicated
that the neutral curve of the velocity fluctuation had a nose shape consistent with that obtained in the numerical calculation,
but for the temperature fluctuation, a ring-like region could be measured at a lower Grashof number before the nose-shaped
main portion of the neutral curve.

In order to realise the full potential of eigenmode expansion models, advanced boundary conditions are required that can absorb the radiation impinging on the walls of the discretisation volume. In this paper, we will discuss and compare a number of these boundary conditions, like perfectly matched layers (PMLs), open (leaky mode) boundary conditions and transparent boundary conditions (TBCs). We will also introduce the case of PMLs with infinite absorption and discuss its relation to leaky mode expansion, leading to a deeper insight into the physics of PML. 相似文献
