本文基于Bragg反射光栅是一维光子晶体的一种特例结构, 提出利用一维光子晶体理论进行Bragg衍射光栅的设计并对其性能进行研究分析. 根据一维光子晶体理论, 建立了罗兰圆结构的凹面椭圆Bragg蚀刻衍射光栅, 研究了TE/TM模式下器件的分光特性以及入射角度改变对器件角色散造成的影响; 同时, 文中对比了空气介质型和金属铝线型椭圆Bragg蚀刻衍射光栅的光学性能. 研究结果表明: 选择合适的器件参数, 可以实现TE/TM模式下1.465-1.615 μm范围内波长衍射效率在95% 以上, 且空气介质型结构光栅的通道均匀性要优于金属铝线型结构光栅; 入射角在30°-60°范围内变化时, 相同入射角度下, TM模式下器件角色散大于TE模式. 基于Bragg衍射光栅设计的波分复用器是一种尺寸小、衍射效率高的新型EDG 波分复用器, 为未来密集型EDG波分复用器发展提供了一种新的设计思路. 相似文献

An efficient broadband out-coupler on silicon-on-insulator (SOI) with high-index contrast grating (HCG) is proposed. The presence of a silicon-air (high-index contrast) grating on the top silicon layer in SOI allows a strong interaction between the guided mode and the grating. The broadband design of the out-coupler is presented by optimising the various grating parameters. The design analysis and simulation of such an out-coupler is performed with finite difference method. Coupling efficiency of 54% is achieved over an ultra-wide wavelength range from 1500 nm to 1650 nm. 相似文献

A theoretical analysis of nano-deep corrugated long-period waveguide gratings on a SU-8 polymer-based channel waveguide with NOA61 optical epoxy coated upper- and lower cladding is presented. The transmission spectra of the gratings show strong rejection bands both at visible (at wavelength region of 450?460 nm) and infra-red (at wavelength region of 1530?1540 nm) regions when a grating period of ?68 μm with optimized grating tooth height is considered. Phase-matching graphs are studied to find the relationship between resonance wavelength and grating period. These results show that the grating parameters significantly affect the characteristics of transmission spectra as well as the resonance wavelength of the grating. Long-period waveguide grating-based band pass filter made by use of same polymer materials are also designed and analyzed. These types of waveguide grating-based filters can widely be used for visible and infra-red wavelength sensing applications. 相似文献

A new sensor for simultaneous measurement of humidity and temperature is proposed. The sensor consists of Fabry–Perot cavity formed by two identical uniform fiber Bragg gratings. To make the cavity serves as humidity sensor, moisture sensitive polymer, which is polyimide, is coated on the FBG and on the cavity with different thickness. When the sensor is exposed to the relative humidity change, the polyimide will expand and stretch the fiber and induces strain on the FBG and on the cavity. The induced strain alters the grating period, cavity length and effective refractive index of fiber. The simulation results show that the humidity sensitivity and thermal sensitivity are 1.92 pm/%RH and 8.87 pm/°C, respectively, for polyimide coating thickness of 10 μm on the FBG and 15 μm on the cavity. 相似文献

A fiber Bragg grating (FBG) pickup exploiting Intensity Modulation-Direct Detection (IM-DD) interrogation system was put forward in this paper. The feasibility of detecting the vibration of the guitar was revealed by FFT analysis. There was certain correlation between the FBG pickup and the magnetic pickup. A high signal-to-noise ratio (42.85 dB) was obtained. The FBG pickup has a frequency response range (0–3000 Hz) that is comparable to the reference pickup. The results indicated that the proposed pickup is effective to pick up the vibration. A simple structure design and low-cost interrogation system set-ups were proposed. 相似文献

The efficiency of soft X‐ray diffraction gratings is studied using measurements and calculations based on the differential method with the S‐matrix propagation algorithm. New open‐source software is introduced for efficiency modelling that accounts for arbitrary groove profiles, such as those based on atomic force microscopy (AFM) measurements; the software also exploits multi‐core processors and high‐performance computing resources for faster calculations. Insights from these calculations, including a new principle of optimal incidence angle, are used to design a soft X‐ray emission spectrometer with high efficiency and high resolution for the REIXS beamline at the Canadian Light Source: a theoretical grating efficiency above 10% and resolving power E/ΔE > 2500 over the energy range from 100 eV to 1000 eV are achieved. The design also exploits an efficiency peak in the third diffraction order to provide a high‐resolution mode offering E/ΔE > 14000 at 280 eV, and E/ΔE > 10000 at 710 eV, with theoretical grating efficiencies from 2% to 5%. The manufactured gratings are characterized using AFM measurements of the grooves and diffractometer measurements of the efficiency as a function of wavelength. The measured and theoretical efficiency spectra are compared, and the discrepancies are explained by accounting for real‐world effects: groove geometry errors, oxidation and surface roughness. A curve‐fitting process is used to invert the calculations to predict grating parameters that match the calculated and measured efficiency spectra; the predicted blaze angles are found to agree closely with the AFM estimates, and a method of characterizing grating parameters that are difficult or impossible to measure directly is suggested. 相似文献
