THE PROBLEM OF LIMIT CYCLES FOR A LIENARD TYPE CUBIC SYSTEM

The purpose of this paper is to study a general Lienard type cubic system with one antisaddle and two saddles. We give some results of the existence and uniqueness of limit cycles as well as the evolution of limit cycles around the antisaddle for system (2) in the following when parameter a1 changes.     

多气隙电阻板室抗辐照性能研究

给出了为RHIC-STAR飞行时间探测器设计的多气隙电阻板室(MRPC)的辐照实验结果. 实验采用100mCi⁶⁰Co γ源, 采用不同的剂量率对MRPC进行辐照. 一个室在大剂量率2.87×10^－2Gy/h下辐照了24h后, 其性能如噪声计数率, 暗电流等均大大退化. 另一个室在相对低剂量率5.31×10^－4Gy/h下辐照了530h, 其性能没有见到任何变坏. 实验的目的是为了了解这种探测器在几年的运行中经过大剂量的辐照后的性能变化情况.     

双对数模型对模型模拟误差的放缩问题探讨

对双对数模型lg Y=a0+a1lg X1+a2lg X2+…+anlg Xn与其对应的指数模型y=c0xa11xa22…xann的模拟相对误差的关系进行了探讨,指出双对数模型具有放大和缩小指数模型相对误差的特性.对二者的关系进行了理论推导和实例验证,并给出了二者的定量关系式.     

Memory management optimization problems for integrated circuit simulators

In hardware design, it is necessary to simulate the anticipated behavior of the integrated circuit before it is actually cast in silicon. As simulation procedures are long due to the great number of tests to be performed, optimization of the simulation code is of prime importance. This paper describes two mathematical models for the minimization of the memory access times for a cycle-based simulator.An integrated circuit being viewed as a directed acyclic graph, the problem consists in building a graph order on the vertices, compatible with the relation order induced by the graph, in order to minimize a cost function that represents the memory access time. For both proposed cost functions, we show that the corresponding problems are NP-complete. However, we show that the special cases where the graphs are in-trees or out-trees can be solved in polynomial time.     

Critical percolation exploration path and SLE 6: a proof of convergence

It was argued by Schramm and Smirnov that the critical site percolation exploration path on the triangular lattice converges in distribution to the trace of chordal SLE ₆. We provide here a detailed proof, which relies on Smirnov’s theorem that crossing probabilities have a conformally invariant scaling limit (given by Cardy’s formula). The version of convergence to SLE ₆ that we prove suffices for the Smirnov–Werner derivation of certain critical percolation crossing exponents and for our analysis of the critical percolation full scaling limit as a process of continuum nonsimple loops. Covariant Newtonian and relativistic dynamics of (magneto)-elastic solid model for neutron star crust

This work develops the dynamics of a perfectly elastic solid model for application to the outer crust of a magnetised neutron star. Particular attention is given to the Noether identities responsible for energy-momentum conservation, using a formulation that is fully covariant, not only (as is usual) in a fully relativistic treatment but also (sacrificing accuracy and elegance for economy of degrees of gravitational freedom) in the technically more complicated case of the Newtonian limit. The results are used to obtain explicit (relativistic and Newtonian) formulae for the propagation speeds of generalised (Alfven type) magneto-elastic perturbation modes.     

On the Isoperimetric Type Problems with Current Hyperplanes

Analytical approach is presented to the isoperimetric type problems of finding convex figures separated by current hyperplanes.
