General expressions for the components of the Ricci collineation vector are derived and the related constraints are obtained. These constraints are then solved to obtain Ricci collineations and the related constraints on the Ricci tensor components for all spacetime manifolds (degenerate or non-degenerate, diagonal or non-diagonal) admitting symmetries larger than so(3) and already known results are recovered. A complete solution is achieved for the spacetime manifolds admitting so(3) as the maximal symmetry group with non-degenerate and non diagonal Ricci tensor components. It is interesting to point out that there appear cases with finite number of Ricci collineations although the Ricci tensor is degenerate and also the cases with infinitely many Ricci collineations even in the case of non-degenerate Ricci tensor. Interestingly, it is found that the spacetime manifolds with so(3) as maximal symmetry group may admit two extra proper Ricci collineations, although they do not admit a G

In this paper, we established the blow up theorem for critical semilinear wave equations with focusing nonlinear term on Schwarzschild spacetime. Concavity method is used to prove the main result, which was introduced by Levine–Payne in the papers Levine and Payne (1974) and and Levine (1973) [7] in 1970s. Also, a new auxiliary function with parameter β is constructed following the idea from Payne (1975) [13], in order to guarantee that the result holds without any assumption on the initial data and initial energy. 相似文献

Most of results of Bestvina and Mogilski [Characterizing certain incomplete infinite-di-mensional absolute retracts. Michigan Math. J., 33, 291-313 (1986)] on strong Z-sets in ANR's and absorbing sets is generalized to nonseparable case. It is shown that if an ANR X is locally homotopy dense embeddable in infinite-dimensional Hilbert manifolds and w(U ) = w(X ) (where "w"is the topological weight) for each open nonempty subset U of X , then X itself is homotopy dense embeddable in a Hilbert manifold. It is also demonstrated that whenever X is an AR, its weak product W (X, ) = {(x n ) ∞ n=1 ∈ X ω : x n = for almost all n} is homeomorphic to a pre-Hilbert space E with E ~ = ΣE.
