The semiclassical modified nonlinear Schrödinger equation I: Modulation theory and spectral analysis

We study an integrable modification of the focusing nonlinear Schrödinger equation from the point of view of semiclassical asymptotics. In particular, (i) we establish several important consequences of the mixed-type limiting quasilinear system including the existence of maps that embed the limiting forms of both the focusing and defocusing nonlinear Schrödinger equations into the framework of a single limiting system for the modified equation, (ii) we obtain bounds for the location of the discrete spectrum for the associated spectral problem that are particularly suited to the semiclassical limit and that generalize known results for the spectrum of the nonselfadjoint Zakharov-Shabat spectral problem, and (iii) we present a multiparameter family of initial data for which we solve the associated spectral problem in terms of special functions for all values of the semiclassical scaling parameter. We view our results as part of a broader project to analyze the semiclassical limit of the modified nonlinear Schrödinger equation via the noncommutative steepest descent procedure of Deift and Zhou, and we also present a selfcontained development of a Riemann-Hilbert problem of inverse scattering that differs from those given in the literature and that is well adapted to semiclassical asymptotics.     

Traces of Intertwiners for Quantum Groups and Difference Equations

In this Letter we study twisted traces of products of intertwining operators for quantum affine algebras. They are interesting special functions, depending on two weights ,, three scalar parameters q,,k, and spectral parameters z ₁,...,z _N , which may be regarded as q-analogs of conformal blocks of the Wess–Zumino–Witten model on an elliptic curve. It is expected that in the rank 1 case they essentially coincide with the elliptic hypergeometric functions defined by Felder and Varchenko. Our main result is that after a suitable renormalization the traces satisfy four systems of difference equations – the Macdonald–Ruijsenaars equation, the q-Knizhnik–Zamolodchikov–Bernard equation, and their dual versions. We also show that in the case when the twisting automorphism is trivial, the trace functions are symmetric under the permutation , k . Thus, our results generalize those of Etingof and Schiffmann, dealing with the case q=1, and Etingof, Varchenko, and Schiffmann, dealing with the finite-dimensional case.     

用逆压电极化模型对AlGaN/GaN 高电子迁移率晶体管电流崩塌现象的研究

通过自洽求解一维Poisson-Schrdinger方程,模拟了AlGaN/GaN高电子迁移率晶体管在工作时等效外电场对AlGaN/GaN异质结沟道处二维电子气(2DEG)浓度的影响.分析了逆压电极化效应的作用,从正-逆压电极化现象出发,提出了逆压电极化模型.计算结果显示：逆压电极化明显影响2DEG性质,当Al组分x=0.3,AlGaN层厚度为20 nm时,不考虑逆压电极化,2DEG浓度为1.53×10¹³cm^-2;当等效外电压分别为10和15V 关键词： AlGaN/GaN高电子迁移率晶体管 Poisson-Schrdinger方程 逆压电极化模型 电流崩塌     

影响光孤子传输的因素分析和可能的解决方案

从光孤子传输所满足的非线性薛定谔方程出发,通过对方程中参数的分析和选择,对影响孤子传输的各种因素采用单独分析和综合分析对比方法得到了两个新的结论:(1)二阶色散参数在不太大的范围内变化只会影响脉冲的幅值,对脉冲形状影响不大,而输入脉冲的啁啾则是使脉冲发生畸变的主要原因;(2)在啁啾、三阶色散和五阶非线性同时存在的情况下,它们对脉冲都会产生很大的影响,且存在相互影响和制约关系,三者在某一参数值附近,对脉冲却存在着增益效应和"整容"作用。针对分析结果从理论上提出了改进光孤子传输特性的解决方案,这对光孤子通信的实践过程是有一定实际意义的。     

Entanglement evolution in a non-Markovian environment

We extend recent theoretical studies of entanglement dynamics in the presence of environmental noise, following the long-time interest of Krzysztof Wodkiewicz in the effects of stochastic models of noise on quantum optical coherences. We investigate the quantum entanglement dynamics of two spins in the presence of classical Ornstein-Uhlenbeck noise, obtaining exact solutions for evolution dynamics. We consider how entanglement can be affected by non-Markovian noise, and discuss several limiting cases.     

Accessible solitons of fractional dimension

We demonstrate that accessible solitons described by an extended Schrödinger equation with the Laplacian of fractional dimension can exist in strongly nonlocal nonlinear media. The soliton solutions of the model are constructed by two special functions, the associated Legendre polynomials and the Laguerre polynomials in the fraction-dimensional space. Our results show that these fractional accessible solitons form a soliton family which includes crescent solitons, and asymmetric single-layer and multi-layer necklace solitons.     

Two mutually conjugated tripartite entangled states and their fractional Fourier transformation kernel

We newly construct two mutually-conjugate tripartite entangled state representations,based on which we propose the formulation of three-mode entangled fractional Fourier transformation(EFFT) and derive the transformation kernel.The EFFT’s additivity property is proved and the eigenmode of EFFT is derived.As an application,we calculate the EFFT of the three-mode squeezed vacuum state.     

三粒子纠缠W态隐形传态的正交完备基展开与算符变换

Generalized Harmonic Oscillator and the SchrSdinger Equation with Position-Dependent Mass

We study the generalized harmonic oscillator that has both the position-dependent mass and the potential depending on the form of mass function in a more general framework. The explicit expressions of the eigenvalue and eigenfunction for such a system are given, they have the same forms as those for the usual harmonic oscillator with constant mass. The coherent state and its properties corresponding effective potentials for several mass functions, for the system with PDM are also discussed. We give the the systems with such potentials are isospectral to the usual harmonic oscillator.
