The influence of treatment in a magnetic field at low temperatures on the nonlinear optical properties of NiI2-doped CdI2 single crystals is investigated. The impurity ions in the interlayer space or more complex centers into which these ions enter can align on exposure to a magnetic field due to the interaction with the membrane vibrations of the lattice and create residual polarization in a specimen. This polarization causes redistribution of the electric charge on the bonds and improves the nonlinear optical properties of single crystals.  相似文献

We have obtained theoretically an expression for the nuclear free precession signal in an inhomogeneously broadened spin system with a complex structure of the NMR spectrum. It is shown that in this case in the nuclear precession signal there appear maxima the moments of whose formation depend on the detuning of the pulse carrier frequency from the central frequencies of the NMR lines, their widths, and the Rabi frequency. The theoretical results are in good agreement with the experimental data on the observation of proton free precession in toluene. We have constructed a physical model explaining the appearance of maxima in the free precession signal of the spin system.  相似文献

Magnetic hyperfine fields (mhf) at 111Cd and 140Ce nuclei, dilutely substituting the In and Ce sites, respectively, have been measured in the intermetallic compound CeIn3 using perturbed angular correlation technique. A pure electric quadrupole interaction with an axially symmetric electric field gradient was observed at 111In(EC)111Cd probe nuclei at room temperature while a combined magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole interaction is observed below 10K. Below the ordering temperature, only a magnetic interaction is observed at 140La()140Ce probe. The values of mhf measured experimentally as a function of temperature are discussed in terms of critical behavior.  相似文献

The present study of Np2Ir2In completes the 237Np Mössbauer spectroscopy investigations of Np2T2X (T = Co, Rh, Ir, Ni, Pd, Pt; X = In, Sn) compounds. Np2Ir2In is found to order at T ord30 K and the complex Mössbauer spectra suggest the occurrence of a noncollinear modulated magnetic structure with an average magnetic moment on the neptunium Np0.76 B. The magnetic properties of Np2Ir2In are consistent with the general trends observed in the An2T2X (An =U, Np) isostructural family.  相似文献

A survey is given of NMR studies of colossal magnetoresistive manganese perovskites (RE,Ca,Sr,Ba)MnO3 (RE = rare earth) and the interstitially modified permanent magnet materials, RE2Fe17A x (A = N,C,H) at ambient pressure and at applied pressures of up to 10 kbar. The different pressure behavior of the Mn hyperfine field found in the metallic and in the insulating manganite compounds is discussed and related to the micro- and macroscopic properties of these magnetically inhomogeneous materials. In the RE2Fe17A x compounds a different pressure behavior of the hyperfine field at the RE sites with different number and type of interstitial atom neighbors is discussed in terms of local compressibility. The influence of the interstitial modification and the applied pressure on the RE hyperfine field and quadrupole splitting is analyzed and the impact of the chemical pressure and covalent effects on these quantities is compared. A comparison of the behavior of the magnetic state of the 4f electron shell with pressure and with interstitial modification is made and the relation to the magnetocrystalline anisotropy is discussed.  相似文献

In 31P MAS NMR spectra of chlorocyclophosphazenes, characteristic splittings have been observed for PCl or PCl2 groups. At different applied magnetic fields, the fine structure and total width of the patterns change in a characteristic way, demonstrating that the splittings are due to indirect spin–spin and residual dipolar interactions with the chlorine nuclei directly bonded to phosphorus. For trans-nongeminal N3P3Cl3(NMe2)3 and N3P3Cl6 as examples, the spectra have been analyzed to obtain information on chlorine nuclear quadrupole coupling constants and 35,37Cl, 31P indirect spin–spin coupling constants. Neglect of these interactions may result in misinterpretations of the multiplicity in 31P MAS spectra of chlorophosphazenes.  相似文献

Resolution in 1H NMR spectra of solids can be significantly enhanced with fast magic-angle spinning and high magnetic fields. A variable field and spinning speed study up to 25 T and 40 kHz shows that the homogeneous line broadening is inversely proportional to the product of magnetic field strength and spinning speed. The combination of high field and fast speed yields a 1H linewidth approaching the intrinsic limit determined by anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility. An analysis of the anisotropic magnetic susceptibility line broadening is presented.  相似文献

Hybrid transparent and flexible siloxane-polypropyleneglycol (PPG) materials with covalent bonds between the inorganic (siloxane) and organic (polymeric) phases were prepared by sol-gel process. In order to improve the quality of the mechanical properties of these materials, different amounts of methyltriethoxysilane (MTES) were added to the initial sol. The effect of MTES addition on the structure of the composites was studied by Small-Angle X-Ray Scattering (SAXS) and 29Si Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (29Si NMR). In absence of MTES, SAXS spectra exhibit a peak that is assigned to spatial correlation due to short range order between the siloxane clusters embedded in the polymeric phase. The experimental results indicate that, for low MTES concentrations ([MTES]/[O] 0.8, O: ether-type oxygen of PPG), the silicon species resulting from hydrolysis and condensation of MTES fill the open spaces between polymeric chains, interacting with the ether-type oxygens. For larger MTES content ([MTES]/[O] 0.8), the number of free ether-type oxygen sites avalaible for reaction with such silicon species is not large enough. Consequently, a fraction of silicon species resulting from MTES addition graft to siloxane clusters formed by hydrolysis and condensation of the hybrid precursor. For all MTES concentrations the condensation degree of the siloxane phase, determined from 29Si NMR spectroscopy, is high (>69%), as expected under neutral pH synthesis conditions.  相似文献

The alignment of human erythrocytes in aqueous suspensions in the magnetic field B(0) (called the z-direction) of an NMR spectrometer was shown by calculating the diffusion tensor for water in the sample. The diffusion was measured using a pulsed-field-gradient spin-echo NMR method. The extent of diffusion anisotropy for water was exemplified by the values of the apparent diffusion coefficients with erythrocytes of normal shape and volume: for a typical experiment the values for the x-, y-, and z-directions were (6.88 +/- 0.17) x 10(-10), (7.07 +/- 0.17) x 10(-10), and (10.20 +/- 0.17) x 10(-10) m(2) s(-1), respectively. Cells in hypo- and hyperosmotic media were also studied and they too showed the anisotropy of the apparent diffusion coefficients but the extents were different. A new method of data analysis was developed using the Standard Add-On Packages in a Mathematica program. The experimental findings support evidence of erythrocyte alignment that was previously obtained with a high-field-gradient q-space method.  相似文献
