Characteristics of the inelastic interactions of 9.38 GeV/c deuterons with nuclear emulsion nuclei have been studied. These have been compared with nucleon-nucleus interactions at a corresponding momentum. The probability of nucleon stripping in deuteron-nucleus interactions has been observed to be 0.5. The charged particle multiplicity in deuteron-nucleus interactions exhibitA-dependence of the typeA α with α=0.08. The experimental data disagree with KNO scaling.  相似文献

Non-relativistically exact single scattering calculations for coherent pion photoproduction by deuterons at intermediate photon energies (200 MeV to 500 MeV) are presented. For the two-bodyγNπN process we use the well-known dispersion theoretic model by Chewet al and for the deuteron wave-functions we employ the Yamaguchi and the two term Gaussian wave-function. We find that while both the wavefunctions reproduce the deuteron e.m. form factor reasonably well, the results for the pion photoproduction cross-section show, however, a sensitive dependence on their detailed forms. The angular distributions at various energies are found to have considerable variations from the usual impulse approximation calculations but tend to improve the agreement with the data in a large kinematical region.  相似文献

The possible presence of anI=0 axial vector piece in the hadronic neutral current may be detected by looking for an asymmetry in the emission of the recoil deuterons in elastic scattering of neutrinos or antineutrinos on polarized deuterons. It is estimated that this asymmetry could be about 40% with the incident neutrinos in the energy range of tens of MeV.  相似文献

The energy of tagged photons, which were provided from the internal photon tagging system of the Laboratory of Nuclear Science, Tohoku University, has been calibrated using the d(γ,π-pp) reaction. Charged pions and protons in the final state were detected with the Neutral Kaon Spectrometer (NKS2). Photon energies were obtained from the reaction of d(γ,π-pp). The derived photon energy was consistent with the design of the tagger system and the previous measurement using electron-positron pair production. The consistency demonstrates the performance of NKS2 and the capability of the photon energy calibration using d(γ,π-pp).  相似文献

Photoproduction of mesons off the deuteron has been investigated at a tagged photon beam of the Bonn ELSA accelerator with the combined Crystal Barrel - TAPS electromagnetic calorimeter for incident photon energies up to 2.5 GeV. The mesons have been detected in coincidence with recoil protons, neutrons and deuterons. This allow the measurement of meson production reactions off the quasifree nucleons bound in the deutron, as well as the coherent production off the deuteron. The comparison of quasifree proton reactions to free proton reactions can confirm or invalidate possible nuclear effects on the extracted cross section reactions. Furthermore the isospin composition of a resonance can be estimated from the comparison of quasifree proton and neutron reactions. The quasifree photoproduction of the η' and π°η mesons off nucleons and the coherent photoproduction of π°η--pairs off the deuteron are discussed.  相似文献

Spezialgläser des Systems MgO — Ah2O3 — SiO2 — TiO2 werden zur Bildung von Ti3+ Ionen, die die Kristallisationsneigung fördern, mit Zucker als Reduktionsmittel erschmotzen. Die aktivierungsanalytische Kohtensloffbestimmung über die Reaktion 12C(d,n)13N, die ursprünglich zur C-Bestitnmung im Halbleitersilicium entwickelt wurde, wurde durch Erarbeitung der Bedingungen für Vorreinigung, Bestrahlung und Aufarbeitung der zur Untersuchung von Spezialgläsern angewendet. Die Meβergebnisse zeigen keinen Hinweisj einen erhöhten Kohlenstoffgehalt.  相似文献

We analyzed the exponent (α) values in Gaussian‐type functions (GTF) for protons and deuterons in BH3, CH4, NH3, H2O, HF, and their deuterated molecules for the development of nuclear basis functions, which are used for molecular orbital (MO) calculations that directly include nuclear quantum effects. The optimized α (αopt) value in the single s‐type ([1s]) GTF for protons is changed due to the difference in flexibility of the electronic basis sets. The difference between the energy obtained by using the αopt value for each molecule and that obtained by using the average α (αave) value for these exponents with the 6‐31G(d,p) electronic basis function is only 2 × 10?5 a.u. The αave values of protonic and deuteronic [1s] GTFs by the present calculation are 24.1825 and 35.6214, respectively. We found that the αave values enable the evaluation of the total energy and the geometrical changes in hydrogen bonding, such as O…H? O, O…H? N, and O…H? C, while the αopt value became small by forming a hydrogen bond. The result using only the [1s] GTF for the protonic and deuteronic basis functions is sufficient to explain the differences of energy and geometry induced by the H/D isotope effect, although the total energy of ~5 × 10?4 a.u. was improved by using the s‐, p‐, and d‐type ([1s1p1d]) GTFs for protons and deuterons. We clearly demonstrate that the protonic and deuteronic basis functions based on the αave value enable us to apply the method to other sample molecules (glycine, malonaldehyde, and formic acid dimer). The protonic and deuteronic basis functions we developed treat the quantum effects of protons and deuterons effectively and extend the application range of the MO calculation to include nuclear quantum effects. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The measurement of parity-violating(PV)observables in few-nucleon system can shed light on our current understanding of the week interaction between nucleons.Theoretical models describe the nucleonnucleon weak interaction at low energies use a series of undetermined parameters.Two parity violating measurements have been considered: the capture of polarized slow neutrons on hydrogen((n)+p→d+γ)at Los Alamos National Laboratory for first phase and Oka Ridge National Laboratory for second phase and the helicity dependence of the deuteron photodisintegration cross section using circularly polarized photons((γ)+d→n+p*)at Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics.The goal of both experiments is to constraint the weak meson-nucleon couplings to a precision of 1 × 10-8.The introduction of both experiments is presented.  相似文献
