We evaluate theoretically the radiative decay widths into γΛ and γΣ 0 of the two poles of the Λ(1405) found in chiral unitary theories and we find quite different results for each of the two poles. We show that, depending on which reaction is used to measure the Λ(1405) radiative decays, one gives more weight to one or the other pole, resulting in quite different shapes in the γΛ(Σ 0) invariant-mass distributions. Our results for the high-energy pole agree with those of the empirical determination of the γΛ and γΣ 0 radiative widths (based on an isobar model fitting of the K-p atom data), which are sometimes referred to as “experimental data”. We have made a detailed study of the K - pπ 0 γΛ(Σ 0) and π - pK 0 γΛ(Σ 0) reactions and have shown that they, indeed, lead to different shapes for the γΛ(Σ 0) invariant-mass distributions.  相似文献

The scope of a relativistically covariant constituent quark model of baryons based on the Bethe-Salpeter equation in instantaneous approximation is illustrated by a discussion of various baryon resonance observables such as static electromagnetic moments --including a novel calculational procedure-- form factors and helicity amplitudes, semileptonic decays as well as the systematics of two-body strong decay widths.  相似文献

J/ψ and decays to mesons are a good place to look for glueballs, hybrids and for extracting strange and non-strange components in mesons. Abundant J/ψ and events have been collected at the Beijing Electron Positron Collider (BEPC). More data will be collected at upgraded BEPC and CLEO-C. Here we provide explicit PWA formulae for many interesting channels in the covariant tensor formalism. We thoroughly compare the bound-state and rigid-rotator approaches to three-flavored chiral solitons. We establish that these two approaches yield identical results for the baryon spectrum and kaon-nucleon S-matrix in the limit that the number of colors (NC) tends to infinity. After proper subtraction of the background phase shift the bound-state approach indeed exhibits a clear resonance behavior in the strangeness S = + 1 channel. We present a first dynamical calculation of the widths of the Θ+ and Θ* pentaquarks for finite NC in a chiral soliton model.  相似文献

We present a preliminary measurement of the B(Ds→μvμ) with the Belle experiment at the KEKB collider. We select Ds→μvμ decays with a method that provides a high-purity of the selected sample and an absolute measurement of the branching fraction. The results are based on a data sample of 550 fb-1 and are compared to similar measurements by other experiments as well as to the predictions of LQCD. We conclude with short prospects for improvements in the accuracy of the measurement.  相似文献

The production of prompt neutrinos in the beam dump experiment is explained in a cluster model, by postulating the emission of strange clusters in hadron collisions, besides the usual non-strange clusters. The low mass strange clusters can decay only by the weak interaction. The leptonic and semi-leptonic decay modes of these clusters give rise to prompt neutrinos. A prediction of the model is that the ratios <v e>/π + at PS energies would be the same as SPS energies.  相似文献

The parity violating non-leptonic decays of hyperons and of charmed baryons are discussed in the framework of SU (8) symmetry. Several relations in addition to the ones obtained earlier by using SU (4) symmetry and20″-dominance, are obtained. The assumption of20″-dominance at the SU (4) level is no longer required for explaining the non-leptonic decays of 1/2+ baryons.  相似文献

The formalisms of helicity coupling amplitudes for J/ψ→π^+π^-π^0 are presented. A detailed discussion is also given on the barrier factor, Breit Wigner, and density matrix. A Monte Carlo simulation of J/ψ→ρ(770)π→π^+π^-π^0 is carried out. The results show that the p(770) resonance is well reproduced compared with experimental data.  相似文献

A role of the axial-vector mesons, such as K1 and a1, on the emitted-photon spectrum in hot hadronic matter is studied through the channels πρ→a 1→πγ and Kρ→K 1Kγ. Both channels could be dominant over the region lower than E γ∼ 0.5 GeV, while the role of the K1 meson is diminished in the higher E γ region. This study is carried out with an SU L(3) ⊗SU R(3) effective chiral Lagrangian which includes vector and axial-vector mesons systematically and explains well their hadronic and radiative decays simultaneously. Recent exclusive coincidence measurements of non-mesonic weak decays (NMWD) reported for the ratio of the partial decay width of neutron-induced-to-proton-induced NMWD, Γnp , values of 0.45±0.11±0.03 and 0.51±0.13±0.04 for 5lam and 12 Λ C , respectively. These observations agree well with the improved theoretical Γnp ratios which are in the range of 0.3-0.7. It appears that the long-standing discrepancy between the experimental and theoretical values of Γnp has finally been solved. However, when compared to the results of intra-nuclear cascade (INC) calculations, the observed numbers of both single nucleons and coincident nucleon pairs are strongly quenched. The quenching of the proton yield observed previously has been interpreted as an increase of the Γnp ratio. On the other hand, significant contributions from the two-nucleon-induced three-body process ΛNNnNN are predicted. Indeed, the angular correlation of the emitted nucleon pairs in the NMWD of 12 Λ C showed not only decay events in back-to-back kinematics, but also events with non-back-to-back kinematics. In this paper we show that the difficulties to extract the correct Γnp ratio from the proton spectra is related to the three-body weak-interaction process which strongly quenches the nucleon yields.  相似文献
