Autocatalytic oxidation of ferroin by bromate in water-in-oil reverse micelles of AOT has been studied experimentally and theoretically. The simplest models for this process have been constructed. Analytical solutions for these models were found for some limiting cases. It has been shown that the autocatalytic reaction runs much more slowly in reverse micelles than in water. The dependencies of the maximum reaction rate, max, the exponent of the increase in ferriin concentration, , and induction period, , on micelle concentration have been obtained at =[H2O]/[AOT]=4.6. It was found that there is only one theoretical model which can explain the experimental data. The values of the elementary reaction rate constantsk i were estimated on the basis of the theoretical dependencies of max and on the constantsk i . All elementary rate constants turned out to be two or three orders of magnitude smaller than the corresponding constants for the reaction proceeding in water. The decrease in the rate constants is explained by the increase in viscosity and pH in a micellar water core at low .Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. A number of monopodands havingo-diphenylphosphinyl terminal groups were synthesized by alkylating sodium derivatives of oligoethylene glycols witho-(bromomethyl)phenyldiphenylphosphine. The stability constants of the complexes of these ligands with alkali metal cations at 25 °C were determined conductometrically in a THF—chloroform solution (41, v/v). The complexing ability of monopodands with respect to the cations studied increases monotonically as the number of electron-donating sites increases (from 3 to 8) for all of the cations except Li+ and, to some extent, Na+. In the case of Li+ a smooth decrease in the stability of the complexes is observed. The monopodands obtained in this work differ drastically in this regard from their structural isomers, bis[o-(diphenylphosphinylmethyl)phenyl] ethers of oligoethylene glycols, which had been studied previously.For part 10, see ref. 1.Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. Numerical simulations are done of Langevin dynamics for a uniform-orderparameter, field-swept Landau model,= –|a/2|m 2+|b/4|m 4mh(t) , to study hysteresis effects. The field is swept at a constant rateh(t)=h(0)+ht. The stochastic jump values of the field {hJ from an initially prepared metastable minimumm(0) are recorded, on passage to a global minimum m(). The results are: (a) The mean jump¯h J(h) increases (hysteresis loop widens) with h, confirming a previous theoretical criterion based on rate competition between field-sweep and inverse mean first-passage time (FPT); (b) The broad jump distribution(h J,h) is related to intrinsically large FPT fluctuations ( 22)/ 2 O(1), and can be quantitatively understood. The probability of first return to the initial intervalx and the diffusion tensorD x are calculated exactly for a ballistic Lorentz gas on a Bethe lattice or Cayley tree. It consists of a moving particle and a fixed array of scatterers, located at the nodes, and the lengths of the intervals between scatterers are determined by a geometric distribution. The same values forx andD x apply also to a regular space lattice with a fraction of sites occupied by a scatterer in the limit of a small concentration of scatterers. If backscattering occurs, the results are very different from the Boltzmann approximation. The theory is applied to different types of lattices and different types of scatterers having rotational or mirror symmetries.  相似文献

The evolution of the texture of silica aerogels during sintering is studied by thermoporometry for both neutral and base catalysed materials.During the densification the macroporous volume drops and the analysis of the mesopore size distribution evolution shows that the collapse of the smallest mesopores is responsible for the macropore volume transformation. However, corrections of the measured volumes are necessary to characterize the most compliant materials.  相似文献

Copolymerisation of methyl methacrylate with nine novel monomer compounds, triazinyl benzanthrone dyes, triazinyl benzotriazole stabilisers and their combined structures, was investigated. Chemical bonding of the compounds in the polymers obtained was confirmed spectrophotometrically. The quantity of the chemically bonded monomer compounds was determined to be over 50%, providing a colour and a fluorescence stable to solvents. Their influence on the rate of the copolymerisation was studied. It was found that the compounds under study did not significantly affect the rate of copolymerisation. A stabilizing effect towards photo-degradation of PMMA was achieved at 0.1 wt.% initial concentration of the compounds, which made them suitable for “one-step” colouration and stabilisation of PMMA.  相似文献

The selectivity of a column system, S, defined by equation 28, includes a variation coefficient (β) of plate number with capacity ratio which has a large influence on the peak capacity, as shown in Fig. 18. Some typical chromatograms are given. In order to predict S for a column system from Kovat's Index, equations 40 and 41 are given to calculate the constant of the carbon number rule for squalane at different temperatures or for different stationary phases. The specific retention value of heptane on squalane at different temperatures can be calculated from equation 42. The nonpolarity index, defined by equation 43, was used to calculate the retention value of heptane on various stationary phases. In liquid chromatography, the order of elution may be reversed by changing the composition of the eluent on the same chemically bonded silica (manufactured in China). The linear relations between the log retention values of different kinds of solutes or of a single solute on the silicas of different surface areas when using the same eluent are given.  相似文献
