The application of laboratory-made zirconium-modified silica gels (Zr-silicas) as cation-exchange stationary phases to ion chromatography with conductimetric detection (IC–CD) for common mono- and divalent cations (Li+, Na+, NH4+, K+, Mg2+ and Ca2+) was carried out. Zr-silicas were prepared by the reaction of the silanol group on the surface of silica gel with zirconium tetrabutoxide (Zr(OCH2CH2CH2CH3)4) in ethanol. Zr-silica adsorbed on 10 mg zirconium g−1 silica gel was a suitable cation-exchange stationary phase in IC–CD for the separation of these mono- and divalent cations. Excellent simultaneous separation and highly sensitive detection for these cations were achieved in 10 min by IC–CD using a Zr-silica column (150×4.6 mm I.D.) and 10 mM tartaric acid containing 10 mM 15-crown-5 (1,4,7,10,13-pentaoxacyclopentadecane) as the eluent. The proposed IC–CD method was successfully applied to the determination of major mono- and divalent cations in natural water samples. 相似文献

Five chiral -D-glucose-based monoaza-15-crown-5 ethers with phosphinoxidoalkyl side chains of one to five carbon atoms (5a–e)have been synthesised. The cation binding ability of the new lariat ethers was evaluated bythe picrate extraction method. The X-ray crystal structures of two closely related molecular complexes of 15-crown-5 and benzo-15-crown-5 with 3,4-diamino-1,2,5-oxadiazole are reported (I and II). Both complexes are of 1:1 stoichiometry with the host–guest alternation in the infinitechains formed due to the unsymmetrical H-bonding patterns between the components. Crystals of I are monoclinic, P21/c, a = 7.856(3), b = 12.994(1), c = 16.033(1) , = 94.79(2)°, Z = 4, final R-factor is 0.0488. The crystalline host–guest type complex [(18-crown-6NH4)2][SiF6]4H2Ohas been obtained as the result of the interaction of SiF42NH3 with 18-crown-6 (18C6) in an aqueous medium. Crystal data: monoclinic, space groupC 2 c, a=26.541(2), b=8.363(2), c=20.469(2) Å, = 122.43(1)°and Z=4. The final R-value is 0.070 for 3253 reflections with I 2(I).The crystals consist of the complex [NH418C6]+ cations, [SiF6]2-anions and water molecules. The ammonium cation is hydrogen bonded by three of its H-atoms to the crown ether oxygen atoms with N(1) O separations2.923(5)–2.940(5) Å and by the fourth H-atom to the fluorine atom of thehexafluorosilicate anion, the N(1)F(4) distance being 2.797(6) Å.The conformation of the macrocycle and the hydrogen-bond geometry in thecomplex cation closely resemble those in related adducts between 18-crown-6and ammonium salts. We previously reported the synthesis and characterization of new organometallic chalcones derived from ferrocene, cyrhetrene and cymantrene functionalized with a benzo‐15‐crown‐5 fragment. The ferrocene and cyrhetrene chalcones have been investigated as chemosensors for metal ions with optical response in acetonitrile. Several metal ions were selected considering the diameter of the cavity and the charge‐to‐radius ratio of the cation. The stoichiometry of the complexes was determined using Job's method. It was found that Na+ and Ca2+ complexes have a 1:1 stoichiometry while a 2:1 (metaloligand‐to‐cation) stoichiometry was determined for Ba2+ and Pb2+ complexes. The association constants were calculated according to the stoichiometry of the complex and the results showed that they are directly affected by the electron‐withdrawing nature of the organometallic fragment. Moreover, complexes of ferrocenyl chalcone have larger association constants than those of the cyrhetrenyl analogue. This experimental observation is consistent with the electronic properties of the ferrocenyl fragment. 相似文献

Reported here is a highly efficient 1,6-conjugate addition of fluorinated silyl enol ethers to para-quinone methides, allowing facile access to a range of β,β-diaryl α-fluorinated ketones with good to high yields. Fe(OTf)3 was identified as the optimal catalyst, with the loading of 3?mol%. Notably, this represent the first 1,6-conjugate addition with fluorinated silyl enol ethers. We developed a Jocic-type protocol for the construction of the pyrrolonaphthoxazepine (PNOX) core. After an initial investigation based on the isolation of a trichloromethyl carbinol derivative, we shifted our attention towards a multicomponent single-step protocol. Screening of a variety of bases and solvents led to the identification of the optimum conditions for the preparation of the key α-aryloxy carboxylic acids to undergo intramolecular cyclization. The novel chemical route significantly improved overall yields for the preparation of PNOX-based compounds and was successfully extended to the preparation of 1,4-benzoxazinone-based templates. 相似文献

We examined by quantum chemical methods the mechanism of SN2 reaction using metal bromide MBr (M = Na, K, Cs) and KX (X= F, Cl) in CH3CN promoted by crown ether (18‐crown‐6). We focus on whether the metal salts react as a contact ion pair (CIP; M+ and X– in close contact) or as a solvent‐separated ion pair (SSIP; M+ and X– at large distance). In SSIP mechanism, X– is removed far enough from M+ for the metal salt to be considered as “separated” by the effects of the crown ether and the solvent. In the CIP picture, conversely, the coordination of 18‐crown‐6 to M+ is not sufficient to overcome the powerful Coulombic interactions between M+ and X–. We find that the CIP route is favored for SN2 bromination processes using MBr (M = Na, K, Cs). For SN2 reaction using KF, the feasibility of the two pathways is essentially equal, whereas for SN2 chlorination by KCl the SSIP route is predicted to be favored. 相似文献
