Convenient synthesis of alkoxyhalosilanes from hydrosilanes

Selective dehydrogenative coupling of di- and trihydrosilanes with alcohols catalyzed by PdCl₂ or NiCl₂ afforded alkoxyhydro- and dialkoxyhydrosilanes in good yield. Further treatment of the resulting alkoxyhydrosilanes with carbon tetrachloride or allyl bromide in the presence of the same catalyst led to the formation of alkoxychloro- and alkoxybromosilanes, respectively. Similar reactions of dialkoxyhydrosilanes with carbon tetrachloride afforded dialkoxychlorosilanes in good yield, although contamination of small amounts of trialkoxysilanes and alkoxydichlorosilanes was detected in the products. Selective substitution of the alkoxyhalosilanes with nucleophiles is also reported.     

An efficient palladium catalyzed synthesis of 2-arylbenzothiazoles

A novel and convergent palladium catalyzed synthesis of 2-arylbenzothiazoles has been investigated. The key step in the synthesis is a Suzuki biaryl coupling of 2-bromobenzothiazole with aryl boronic acids to provide a variety of 2-arylbenzothiazole derivatives in good yield. The synthetic utility of this methodology is demonstrated by the synthesis of 2-(4-aminophenyl)-6-methoxybenzothiazole, a PET probe precursor for the in vivo imaging of Alzheimer's disease.     

谈普朗克质量

简要介绍了普朗克于1912年提出的三个基本物理量：普朗克质量、普朗克长度和普朗克时间，它们巳被列入1986和1998年基本物理常数表，该文只讨论普朗克质量，假定原子核内存在量子化的核力场，命名其场量子为“引斥子”，其质量推算出恰好等于普朗克质量，由此可用4个耦合常数定量地描述四种相互作用的强度比，从而还可找到一种测定G的新方法。     

托卡马克能量约束及自举电流效应的初步考虑

基于Lee等人的离子温度梯度模导致的反常热能输运系数,本文研究了辅助加热托卡马克等离子体的能量约束行为,并对自举电流的效应作了初步考虑。结果表明,计算得到的能量约束时间随等离子体电流I_p和托卡马克大半径R增大而增长,随注入功率P_t、环向场B_t以及等离子体小半径α的增大而缩短。这些结果与Kaye-Goldston的经验约束定标具有相同的趋势。自举电流的存在总是导致能量约束时间的增加,当自举电流与总电流的比值γ较小时,能量约束时间的增加率约为γ/2。此外,自举电流将造成锯齿反转半径的减小。     

Optical current transducer with bulk type Bi12SiO20 faraday sensor for power systems

Two types of optical current transducers (OCTs) have a bulk Faraday sensor inserted into the gap of an iron core and a porcelain insulator with optical fiber. The sensor consists of Bi₁₂SiO₂₀ (BSO) single crystal, a polarizer, and an analyzer. The OCTs satisfied the target performance requirement for fault location and metering and demonstrated maintained performance at some power utilities in Japan and the US. We have developed a fault location system that immediately detects the fault current with the OCTs, there by locating the fault section. The OCT can easily replace the existing support insulators for the disconnecting switch without any modifications to structure height or bus-bar. For metering requiring 0.3% class accuracy, use of a BSO with right optical rotatory power combined with BSO with left optical rotatory power results in a Faraday sensor with improved temperature characteristics. The OCT demonstrated 0.3% class accuracy for metering described in the current transformer Specifications of IEEE C57–13, 1993.     

A nodal coupling of finite and boundary elements

This article presents and analyzes a simple method for the exterior Laplace equation through the coupling of finite and boundary element methods. The main novelty is the use of a smooth parametric artificial boundary where boundary elements fit without effort together with a straight approximate triangulation in the bounded area, with the coupling done only in nodes. A numerically integrated version of the algorithm is also analyzed. Finally, an isoparametric variant with higher order is proposed. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 在同一体系中同时有多个不可逆过程时，不可逆过程之间会有相互影响，原来的非自发过程有可能在其他自发过程的影响下得以进行，这种现象就称为热力学耦合或反应耦合，长期以来，经典热力学把热力学第二定律的等式作为平衡体系的充分必要条件，其中隐含了一个前提性的假定，即经典热力学的对象只限于非耦合的体系，摈弃这一隐含的前提性假定以后，热力学自身就发展成为一个现代热力学的完整学术体系，适用于任何宏观体系（包括极其复杂的生命体系），现代热力学的完整学术体系中包含了一个崭新的非平衡非耗散热力学新领域，由于该领域属于热力学第二定律的等式部分，因此可以定量计算，并得到一系列理论计算的非平衡相图，与文献上报道的激尖低压金刚石合成等的大量实验数据相符。     

Density functional theory study on antiferromagnetic interactions in a silver (I) complex of nitronyl nitroxide

A one-dimensional (1D) silver (I) complex of nitronyl nitroxide with fairly strong antiferromagnetic interaction, in which the metal ions are diamagnetic, is investigated by means of the ab initio crystal orbital method based on the density functional theory. The calculated values of the magnetic coupling constant (J) are close to the experimental measured J value in the periodic system. The magneto-structural correlation reveals that the existence of an antiferromagnetic coupling pathway along nitronyl nitroxide units via silver (I) ion in this system. The spin population distribution also shows the existence of spin delocalization along the ONCNO–Ag–ONCNO, which affords a rational interpretation for the antiferromagnetic interaction mechanism.     

Asymmetric synthesis of abietane diterpenoids via B-alkyl Suzuki-Miyaura coupling. Formal total asymmetric synthesis of 12-deoxyroyleanone and cryptoquinone

A convergent synthetic strategy for abietane diterpenoids via B-alkyl Suzuki-Miyaura coupling and Lewis acid-mediated cyclization reactions is established. Asymmetric total synthesis of 12-deoxyroyleanone, an antileishmanial diterpene, is described.
