The random walk of a particle on a directed Bethe lattice of constant coordinanceZ is examined in the case of random hopping rates. As a result, the higher the coordinance, the narrower the regions of anomalous drift and diffusion. The annealed and quenched mean square dispersions are calculated in all dynamical phases. In opposition to the one-dimensional (Z=2) case, the annealed and quenched mean quadratic dispersions are shown to be identical in all phases.We shall employ indifferently the expressions Bethe lattice or infinite Cayley tree to denote an infinite ramified lattice of constant coordinanceZ.(4, 5)  相似文献

We consider the following (solitary) game: each node of a directed graph contains a pile of chips. A move consists of selecting a node with at least as many chips as its outdegree, and sending one chip along each outgoing edge to its neighbors. We extend to directed graphs several results on the undirected version obtained earlier by the authors, P. Shor, and G. Tardos, and we discuss some new topics such as periodicity, reachability, and probabilistic aspects.Among the new results specifically concerning digraphs, we relate the length of the shortest period of an infinite game to the length of the longest terminating game, and also to the access time of random walks on the same graph. These questions involve a study of the Laplace operator for directed graphs. We show that for many graphs, in particular for undirected graphs, the problem whether a given position of the chips can be reached from the initial position is polynomial time solvable.Finally, we show how the basic properties of the probabilistic abacus can be derived from our results.  相似文献

Consider a simple random walk on d whose sites are colored black or white independently with probabilityq, resp. 1–q. Walk and coloring are independent. Since it is known thatq – 1 k =E(n 1 n k + 1 B) –E(n 1 B)E(n k + 1 B), withB the event that the origin is black, (*) exhibits a long-time tail in the run length autocorrelation function. Numerical calculations of k (1k100) ind=1, 2, and 3 show that there is an oscillatory behavior of k for smallk. This damps exponentially fast, following which the power law sets in fairly rapidly. We prove that if the coloring is not independent, but is convex in the sense of FKG, then the decay of k cannot be faster than (*).  相似文献

A recently proposed perturbational approach to the electron correlation cusp problem 1 is tested in the context of three spherically symmetrical two‐electron systems: helium atom, hydride anion, and a solvable model system. The interelectronic interaction is partitioned into long‐ and short‐range components. The long‐range interaction, lacking the singularities responsible for the electron correlation cusp, is included in the reference Hamiltonian. Accelerated convergence of orbital‐based methods for this smooth reference Hamiltonian is shown by a detailed partial wave analysis. Contracted orbital basis sets constructed from atomic natural orbitals are shown to be significantly better for the new Hamiltonian than standard basis sets of the same size. The short‐range component becomes the perturbation. The low‐order perturbation equations are solved variationally using basis sets of correlated Gaussian geminals. Variational energies and low‐order perturbation wave functions for the model system are shown to be in excellent agreement with highly accurate numerical solutions for that system. Approximations of the reference wave functions, described by fewer basis functions, are tested for use in the perturbation equations and shown to provide significant computational advantages with tolerable loss of accuracy. Lower bounds for the radius of convergence of the resulting perturbation expansions are estimated. A half‐metallocene iron iodide complex [Fe(Cp)I(CO)2] induced living radical polymerization of methyl acrylate (MA) in conjunction with an iodide initiator [(CH3)2C(CO2Et)I, 1 ] and Al(Oi‐Pr)3 to give polymers of controlled molecular weights and narrow molecular weight distributions (MWDs) (Mw/Mn < 1.2). With the use of chloride and bromide initiators, the MWDs were broader, whereas the molecular weights were similarly controlled. Other acrylates such as n‐butyl acrylate (nBA) and tert‐butyl acrylate (tBA) can be polymerized with 1 /Fe(Cp)I(CO)2 in the presence of Ti(Oi‐Pr)4 and Al(Oi‐Pr)3, respectively, to give living polymers. The 1 /Fe(Cp)I(CO)2 initiating system is applicable for the synthesis of block and random copolymers of acrylates (MA, nBA, and tBA) and styrene of controlled molecular weights and narrow MWDs (Mw/Mn = 1.2–1.3). © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. An application of a partial least squares calibration method for the simultaneous voltammetric determination of indomethacin, acemethacin, piroxicam and tenoxicam is suggested. It was shown that it is possible to resolve complex mixtures of analytes even when they have strongly overlapped signals. In order to check the proposed method, statistical analysis of the results was performed by mean of hypothesis tests. The method developed was applied to the electrochemical reduction region of four anti‐inflammatory drugs and allowed the drugs to be quantified at concentrations between 0.52 and 4.09 μg mL?1 for acemethacin, 0.44 and 3.50 μg mL?1 for indomethacin, 0.43 and 3.40 μg mL?1 for piroxicam, and 0.42 and 3.30 μg mL?1 for tenoxicam with good results. The average absolute value of relative errors was 2.25%, 4.31%, 1.68% and 2.49%, respectively.  相似文献

We present a microscopic theory of the problem of finding the properties of a particle interacting with potentials located at random sites. The sites are governed by a general probability distribution. The starting point is the multiple scattering equations for the amplitude k 1|T |k 2 in terms of the individual scattering amplitudes k 1|T |k 2. We work with quantitiesA defined by k 1|T |k 2=k 1|T |k 2exp[i(k 1k 2)R ]. The theory is based on a splitting of the fundamental equation forA into equations for the mean A and the fluctuationsAA . Neglect of the fluctuations yields the quasicrystalline approximation. We rearrange the equation forAA to isolate the collective part of the fluctuations. We then make the simplest microscopic truncation which is thatAA is a restricted two-body additive function of the site positions.
