Stress calculation formulae for a ring have been obtained by using Airy stress function of the plane strain field with the decomposition of the solutions for normal stresses of Airy biharmonic equation into two parts when it is loaded under two opposite inside forces along a diameter. One part should fulfill a constraint condition about normal stress distribution along the circumference at an energy valley to do the minimum work. Other part is a stress residue constant. In order to verify these formulae and the computed results, the computed contour lines of equi-maximal shear stresses were plotted and quite compared with that of photo-elasticity test results. This constraint condition about normal stress distribution along circumference is confirmed by using Greens’ theorem. An additional compression exists along the circumference of the loaded ring, explaining the divorcement and displacement of singularity points at inner and outer boundaries. 相似文献

We present a region of interest (ROI) generation method specialized for nighttime pedestrian detection using far-infrared (FIR) images. Because pedestrians typically appear brighter than background in FIR images, previous research efforts primarily attempted to extract ROIs based on the intensity threshold. However this approach has problems resulting from the intensity variances of pedestrians due to their clothing and, especially in urban scenarios, and other heat sources that emit more heat than the pedestrians. In this paper, we propose a novel ROI generation method that is based on combining image segments instead of using the intensity threshold. In order to minimize dependence on brightness, we utilize the low-frequency characteristics of FIR images. As a result, our proposed method generates a small number of ROIs at an acceptable miss rate and the generated ROIs provide advantages for classification because the pedestrians are satisfactorily arranged within a bounding box. The J_2-integral induced from the interface of bimaterial solids(J_2~(interface))is stud-ied by numerical method.First,the effect on the J_2-integral induced from the interface is verysignificant in bimaterial solids,which is inherently related to that induced from the subinterfacecracks.Moreover,it can be concluded that either the first or the second component of the J_k-vector is always equal to zero when the contour encloses both the cracks and the whole interfacein bimaterial solids.Secondly,it can also be concluded that the interface does produce significanteffect on the J_2-integral induced from the subinterface cracks(J_2~(sub))in bimaterial solids.Thiseffect depends on the geometry of the crack arrangement,which is corresponding to the differentinteraction effect among the cracks and the interface.Moreover,the interface effect on the J_2~(sub)can be neglected when the distance from the crack center to the interface is large enough,whichreveals that the bimaterial solids can be regarded as homogenous solids in fracture analysis whenthe subinterface crack is far enough from the interface.Three examples are given in this paper. 相似文献

In order to achieve a higher lateral resolution required for ultraprecision measurement of microstructural workpieces, phase-only pupil filtering differential confocal microscopy (PFDCM), a new approach is proposed based on the differential confocal microscopy (DCM), which uses a three-zone phase-only pupil filter with lateral super-resolution capability obtained through optimized design to change the distribution of DCM three-dimensional point spread function, so that the DCM lateral resolution is therefore significantly improved while its axial resolution is slightly improved. Preliminary experimental comparison and analyses indicate that, the lateral and axial resolutions of PFDCM are better than 0.2 μm and 2 nm, respectively, when wavelength of incidence laser beam , numerical aperture of measuring lens NA=0.85, and lateral spot size with a three-zone phase-only pupil filter GT=0.65. It is therefore concluded that PFDCM is a new approach to further improvement of lateral resolution in laser probe measurement systems. 相似文献

Two-phase image segmentation is a fundamental task to partition an image into foreground and background. In this paper, two types of nonconvex and nonsmooth regularization models are proposed for basic two-phase segmentation. They extend the convex regularization on the characteristic function on the image domain to the nonconvex case, which are able to better obtain piecewise constant regions with neat boundaries. By analyzing the proposed non-Lipschitz model, we combine the proximal alternating minimization framework with support shrinkage and linearization strategies to design our algorithm. This leads to two alternating strongly convex subproblems which can be easily solved. Similarly, we present an algorithm without support shrinkage operation for the nonconvex Lipschitz case. Using the Kurdyka-Łojasiewicz property of the objective function, we prove that the limit point of the generated sequence is a critical point of the original nonconvex nonsmooth problem. Numerical experiments and comparisons illustrate the effectiveness of our method in two-phase image segmentation. 相似文献

Summary A variant of the boundary element method, called the boundary contour method, offers a further reduction in dimensionality.
Consequently, boundary contour analysis of 2-D problems does not require any numerical integration at all. In a boundary contour
analysis, boundary stresses can be accurately computed using the approach proposed in Ref. [1]. However, due to singularity,
this approach can be used only to calculate boundary stresses at points that do not lie at an end of a boundary element. Herein,
it is shown that a technique based on the displacement/velocity shape functions can overcome this drawback. Further, the approach
is much simpler to apply, requires less computational effort, and provides competitive accuracy. Numerical solutions and convergence
study for some well-known problems in linear elasticity and Stokes flow are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed
approach.
