This article describes the synthesis and molecular characterization of thermal polymeric iniferters, based on hydroxy‐terminated poly(tetrahydrofuran) (PTHF), bearing thiuram disulfide groups along the chain. Thermal polymerization after the addition of styrene (S) and N‐methylmaleimide (MI) to these PTHF‐based polymeric iniferters yielded segmented PTHF (SMI‐block‐PTHF)n block copolymers that proved to have a single Tg. The multiblock copolymers were molecularly characterized by elemental analysis, IR, and NMR. The thermal stability, as checked by thermogravimetric analysis, proved to be good up to about 350 °C. A size exclusion chromatography/differential viscosity (DV) analysis showed that the molecular weights of the synthesized single‐phase multiblock copolymers were sufficiently high (several times the estimated molecular weight between two adjacent entanglements) to determine the entanglement density from the rubbery plateau modulus, for which the method developed by S. Wu (J Polym Sci Part B: Polym Phys 1989, 27, 723–741) was applied. The entanglement density of flexibilized SMI proved to be about 20–25% higher than that of the nonflexibilized SMI. This increase is disappointing, and more work, based on the described concept, is required to achieve the desired enhancement of the toughness. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. In the thermodynamic equilibrium of dipolar-coupled spin systems under the influence of a Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya (D–M) interaction along the z-axis, the current study explores the quantum-memory-assisted entropic uncertainty relation (QMA-EUR), entropy mixedness and the concurrence two-spin entanglement. Quantum entanglement is reduced at increased temperature values, but inflation uncertainty and mixedness are enhanced. The considered quantum effects are stabilized to their stationary values at high temperatures. The two-spin entanglement is entirely repressed if the D–M interaction is disregarded, and the entropic uncertainty and entropy mixedness reach their maximum values for equal coupling rates. Rather than the concurrence, the entropy mixedness can be a proper indicator of the nature of the entropic uncertainty. The effect of model parameters (D–M coupling and dipole–dipole spin) on the quantum dynamic effects in thermal environment temperature is explored. The results reveal that the model parameters cause significant variations in the predicted QMA-EUR.  相似文献

The Callan–Giddings–Harvey–Strominger black hole has a spectrum and temperature that correspond to an accelerated reflecting boundary condition in flat spacetime. The beta coefficients are identical to a moving mirror model, where the acceleration is exponential in laboratory time. The center of the black hole is modeled by the perfectly reflecting regularity condition that red-shifts the field modes, which is the source of the particle creation. In addition to computing the energy flux, we find the corresponding moving mirror parameter associated with the black hole mass and the cosmological constant in the gravitational analog system. Generalized to any mirror trajectory, we derive the self-force (Lorentz–Abraham–Dirac), consistently, expressing it and the Larmor power in connection with entanglement entropy, inviting an interpretation of acceleration radiation in terms of information flow. The mirror self-force and radiative power are applied to the particular CGHS black hole analog moving mirror, which reveals the physics of information at the horizon during asymptotic approach to thermal equilibrium.  相似文献

运用全量子理论研究了初始处于Bell态(对称迭加态或反对称态)的两原子与双模纠缠相干光场相互作用系统中场熵的演化特性. 分析了光场强度、光场纠缠度及原子间相互作用强度对场熵演化特性的影响. 结果表明:原子初态处于反对称态时,场熵始终为零;原子初态处在对称迭加态时,增大光场强度场熵的时间演化曲线逐渐变成较规则的振荡曲线,原子间的相互作用强度对双原子间纠缠度有显著的非线性调制作用.  相似文献

Beginning with a recently proposed expression for the drag force on a single macromolecule pulled with constant velocity through a fluid of long‐entangled molecules (V. R. Mhetar and L. A. Archer, Macromolecules 1998, 31, 6639), we investigate the effect of entanglement loss on polymer dynamics in steady shearing flows. At steady‐state, a balance between the elastic restoring force and viscous drag acting on entangled polymer segments reveals a critical molecular strain γm,c beyond which the drag force exerted on polymer molecules by their neighbors is insufficient to support arbitrarily small orientation angles. Specifically, we find that in fast steady shear flows τ < γ˙ < τ, polymer orientation in the shear plane approaches a limiting angle χc ≈ atau(1/(1 + γm,c)) beyond which flow becomes incapable of producing further molecular alignment. Shear flow experiments using a series of concentrated polystyrene/diethyl phthalate solutions with fixed entanglement spacing, but variable polymer molecular weight 0.94 × 106Mw ≤ 5.48 × 106, reveal a limiting steady‐state orientation angle between 6° and 9° over a range of shear rates; confirming the theoretical result. Orientation angle undershoots observed during start‐up of fast steady shearing flows are also explained in terms of a transient imbalance of elastic restoring force and viscous drag on oriented polymer molecules. Our findings suggest that the Doi–Edwards affine orientation tensor (Q) is not universal, but rather depends on deformation type and deformation history through a balance of elastic force and viscous drag on polymer molecules. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. We present a scheme for transferring an unknown atomic entangled state with a single resonant interaction. This scheme only requires a single resonant interaction of two atoms with a cavity mode and does not use the cavity mode as the memory. Thus the scheme is very simple and the interaction time is very short, which is important, in view of decoherence. Quantum state can be directly transferred from two atoms to another two at, oms with a successful probability of 100 percent.  相似文献

This paper proposes a simple scheme for generating a three-atom GHZ state via cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED). The task can be achieved through the interaction between two EPR states, which can be prepared easily with current technology. In this scheme, the cavity field is only virtually excited during the interaction process, and no quantum information transfer between the atoms and the cavity is required. Thus it greatly prolongs the efficient decoherent time. Moreover, this scheme is also applicable for generating an N-atom GHZ state.  相似文献

We consider a one-dimensional array of L identical coupled cavities, and each cavity is doped with a two-level qubit. Experimentally, it has been developed in several varieties by the newest technology. We find that the one-qubit quantum state can be perfectly transferred through the cavity array, and the entanglement between the first two qubits can also be transferred to the last two qubits. In addition, we successfully realized the entangling gate and swap gate in the coupled cavity array.  相似文献
