Convective coupled map for simulating spatiotemporal chaos in flows   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
A coupled map lattices with convective nonlinearity or, for short, Convective Coupled Map (CCM) is proposed in this paper to simulate spatiotemporal chaos in fluid flows. It is found that the parameter region of spatiotemporal chaos can be determined by the maximal Liapunov exponent of its complexity time series. This simple model implies a similar physical mechanism for turbulence such that the route to spatiotemporal chaos in fluid flows can be envisaged. The study is supported by “Nonlinear Sciences Project” from the State Science and Technology Commission of China.  相似文献

This paper describes a new phenomenon of acoustic streaming which takes place when a Helmholtz resonator is excited by an inside sound source with resonant frequency, and takes the form of a strong turbulent jet. The flow visualizations, hot wire and LDV measurements are combined to investigate the process of acoustic streaming. It is found that this kind of acoustic streaming results from the contribution of Reynolds stress.  相似文献

A three-dimensional unilateral contact problem for thin viscoelastic layers bonded to rigid substrates shaped like elliptic paraboloids is considered. Two cases are studied: (a) Poisson’s ratios of the layer materials are not very close to 0.5 and (b) the layer materials are incompressible with Poisson’s ratio of 0.5. Poisson’s ratios are assumed to be time independent. In the present paper we derive the general solutions to the problems of elliptical contact between thin compressible or incompressible layers of arbitrary viscoelastic materials. The approach is based on the analytical method developed by the authors for the elliptical contact of thin biphasic cartilage layers. The obtained analytical solution is valid for monotonically increasing loading conditions.  相似文献

This paper presents a geometric nonlinear analysis formulation for beams of functionally graded cross-sections by means of a Total Lagrangian formulation. The influence of material gradation on the numerical response is investigated in detail. Two examples are given that illustrate the main features of the formulation, in which the behavior of beams of graded cross-sections is compared with homogeneous material beams. A motivation for this work is the potential development of functionally graded risers for the offshore oil exploration industry.  相似文献

The propagation velocity (vs) of an ultrasonic signal through a granular material depends on the type of interparticle contact. For noncohesive glass beads, a power law behavior for consolidation stresses applied (σc) above 1 MPa has been measured in previous work. This equation is compatible with Hertz's interaction law between elastic solids. In the present work, we have tested the propagation velocity of ultrasound signals through a sample of fine powder. The tensile strength and compactivity of the powder were previously measured by means of the Seville powder tester (SPT), indicating plastic deformation of the surface asperities in contact for small to moderate consolidation stresses. However, the measurements of ultrasound propagation at high consolidations presented here are compatible with Hertz's law. This finding suggests that for high consolidation stresses, surface asperities are flattened, and it is therefore the elastic deformation of the bulk of the particles that determines the transmission of ultrasonic pulses.  相似文献

We apply the equivalence particle principle to several nonlinear Schrödinger equations (NLSEs) that model the propagation of a spatial beam with logarithmic law nonlinearity. Using this principle, expressions for acceleration, spatial frequency, spatial period and other variables for a spatial soliton can be derived from the solution of the homogenous NLSE with logarithmic law nonlinearity. These results agree well with numerical simulations of the perturbed NLSE. We show that if the expression of the acceleration is bounded this means the spatial soliton propagates with a swing effect.  相似文献

从滑动电接触电阻大小的角度,详细分析了在时序放电条件下,两颗重约为5 g的电枢,以速度为1 000 m/s,166 Hz连续发射试验。通过近似计算电流所流经轨道电阻及电枢体电阻所产生的温升,对滑动电接触电阻的影响。结果表明:连续发射运行模式下,受轨道表面温度上升的影响,第二发电枢的滑动接触电阻略高于第一发电枢的滑动接触电阻,表面滑动电接触性能受到温升的影响,在两连发的发射情况下,其影响虽不是很大,但多发高频连续发射就必须考虑热管理问题。   相似文献

设计了T2LXD1系列电枢,分析了6061-T6铝合金材料的弹塑性特点,利用线性强化理论和接触理论并结合ANSYS软件,建立了T2LXD1系列电枢弹塑性接触模型,研究了电枢尾翼结构对电枢/导轨滑动界面接触状态的影响规律,得到了界面接触力、接触面积和接触压力分布等状态参数的数值模拟结果。利用短导轨电磁驱动系统,进行了T2LXD1系列电枢滑行实验,分析了电枢/导轨界面滑磨状态,比较了滑行性能曲线。实验结果表明:长尾翼电枢并不能带来实际接触面积的增  相似文献
