A New Method for Rotation and Brightness Invariant Pattern Recognition Based on Modified Multiple Circular Harmonic Expansions

A new method for rotation and brightness invariant pattern recognition was proposed by applying multiple circular harmonic expansions to the joint transform correlator. The amplitudes of the multiple orders of circular harmonic expansions made from a detecting image were synthetically modified to respond to the same auto-correlation peaks. These modified circular harmonic expansions were arranged in the input plane as reference patterns together with an arbitrary target pattern, and the correlation signals between them were calculated in the subtracted joint transform correlator. The fraction of the correlation-peak intensities between the target and the references were extracted as a new discrimination parameter. This new parameter performs pattern recognition under rotation and brightness invariance with good discriminability. Its high discriminability has been proved in computer simulations using the face image patterns of many individuals.     

微通道板真空体电阻与Ⅱ代倒象微光管匹配关系的研究

国内研制的20/30Ⅱ代倒象微光管经常出现微通道板真空体电阻偏高或偏低的问题,直接影响Ⅱ代倒象微光管荧光屏的亮度和目标分辨力,严重影响微光管的质量。经过对20/30Ⅱ代倒象微光管的研制和理论分析,证明英国马拉德公司对用于××1383Ⅱ代倒象微光管的H36微通道板技术条件中真空体电阻技术指标的规定也存在一定的问题。本文从目前国内外工艺水平和有关文献资料的分析出发,进行专题研究。本文中所推导的计算公式和对文献资料提供的技术数据的推导分析,同样适用于其他型号微通道板的真空体电阻与相应Ⅱ代、Ⅲ代微光管匹配关系的计算与研究。     

Gk^d图的平面性和平面图的色数

利用欧拉公式研究了Gdk图的平面性,获得了一个重要定理,并由此得到了关于平面图色数的一个结论.     

用频域法实现圆环形目标物的计数

研究了用频域法实现圆环形目标物计数的方法。对空域中含有圆环形目标物的二值图像，经傅里叶变换后在频域内进行滤波，再经傅里叶反变换后取一阈值进行处理，则对应于圆环形目标物即变为一个实心体，然后对实心体进行计数即可实现对圆环形目标物的计数。对该方法进行了数学描述，并分别用模拟图像和实际图像进行了实验。结果表明，该方法消除噪声的效果好，对部分封闭圆的检测同样有效，且可用于目标物有粘连的情况。该方法对圆环形目标物的尺寸相差不大的情况更为有效。     

Simultaneous Approximation for Generalized Baskakov-Durrmeyer-Type Operators

The present paper deals with the study of a Durrmeyer-type integral modification of certain modified Baskakov operators. Here we study simultaneous approximation properties for these operators by using the iterative combinations. We obtain an asymptotic formula and an error estimation in terms of higher order modulus of continuity for these operators.      

Entropy estimate for high-dimensional monotonic functions

We establish upper and lower bounds for the metric entropy and bracketing entropy of the class of d-dimensional bounded monotonic functions under L^p norms. It is interesting to see that both the metric entropy and bracketing entropy have different behaviors for p<d/(d-1) and p>d/(d-1). We apply the new bounds for bracketing entropy to establish a global rate of convergence of the MLE of a d-dimensional monotone density.     

An algorithm for computing Jordan chains and inverting analytic matrix functions

We present an efficient algorithm for obtaining a canonical system of Jordan chains for an n × n regular analytic matrix function A(λ) that is singular at the origin. For any analytic vector function b(λ), we show that each term in the Laurent expansion of A(λ)⁻¹b(λ) may be obtained from the previous terms by solving an (n + d) × (n+d) linear system, where d is the order of the zero of det A(λ) at λ = 0. The matrix representing this linear system contains A(0) as a principal submatrix, which can be useful if A(0) is sparse. The last several iterations can be eliminated if left Jordan chains are computed in addition to right Jordan chains. The performance of the algorithm in floating point and exact (rational) arithmetic is reported for several test cases. The method is shown to be forward stable in floating point arithmetic.     

Mechanism of the reaction of neutral and anionic N-nucleophiles with α-halocarbonyl compounds

N-Acylalkylation of neutral and anionic N-nucleophiles with α-halocarbonyl compounds was investigated by quantum chemical methods in terms of the density functional theory and by experimental methods for 2,3-dihydroimidazo[2,1-b]quinazolin-1(10)H-5-one, its N-anion, and simpler model structures. High reactivity of these reagents is determined primarily by stabilization of transition states (TS) by bridge bonds involving halogen or nitrogen atoms rather than by conjugation, as has been commonly accepted. Bridged TS are formed by both the substitution mechanism S _N 2 and the addition-elimination mechanism. α-Haloalkyl-substituted zwitterions, which are potential intermediates of stepwise N-acylalkylation of neutral N-nucleophiles, do not exist in the isolated state, but they are rather efficiently stabilized upon solvation. These zwitterions, as well as analogous O-anions generated from anionic N-nucleophiles, can serve as intermediates of N-acylalkylation, as was demonstrated by localization of the corresponding TS. Differential operators on Hilbert modular forms

We investigate differential operators and their compatibility with subgroups of SL₂n(R). In particular, we construct Rankin-Cohen brackets for Hilbert modular forms, and more generally, multilinear differential operators on the space of Hilbert modular forms. As an application, we explicitly determine the Rankin-Cohen bracket of a Hilbert-Eisenstein series and an arbitrary Hilbert modular form. We use this result to compute the Petersson inner product of such a bracket and a Hilbert modular cusp form.     

On Genuine Bernstein–Durrmeyer Operators

We continue the studies on the so–called genuine Bernstein–Durrmeyer operators U _n by establishing a recurrence formula for the moments and by investigating the semigroup T(t) approximated by U _n . Moreover, for sufficiently smooth functions the degree of this convergence is estimated. We also determine the eigenstructure of U _n , compute the moments of T(t) and establish asymptotic formulas.
