Theoretical methods in thermodynamics of condensed phases

Theoretical possibilities of determining energetic and thermodynamic characteristics of chemical entities in gaseous and condensed (solid and liquid) phases are briefly reviewed. The considerations include quantum chemistry methods which enable evaluation of energetic quantities and statistical thermodynamics dependencies necessary for determining other thermodynamic characteristics. The possible applications of these methods are also discussed in brief.

Studies on the chemical syntheses and on the characteristics of polyaniline derivatives

Syntheses of parent polyaniline and methyl, methoxy, and ethoxy ortho-substituted polyanilines were performed using the conventional chemical methodology and monitored using the new open-circuit-potential (V_oc) profile technique. The intermediate pernigraniline oxidation state was identified and isolated at the V_oc maximum (A) during the conventional chemical synthesis of poly(o-methoxyaniline) in the emeraldine oxidation state. The introduction of the substituent on the aniline ring leads to longer polymerization times and lower V_oc values. Syntheses in the presence of two different monomers in solution were also investigated and showed preferential polymerization of the monomer with the lowest V_oc potential. All polymers produced were characterized by elemental analysis, gel permeation chromatography, UV-VIS spectroscopy, and cyclic voltammetry. The influence of the substituent on the V_oc profile and on the polymer characteristics are rationalized in terms of steric and electronic effects. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

Chemical Reduction of CO2 to Different Products during Photo Catalytic Reaction on TiO2 under Diverse Conditions： an Overview

The chemical reduction of CO_2 remains a challenge with respect to the reversal of the oxidative degradation of any organic materials.The conversion of CO_2 into useful substances is essential in developing al- ternative fuels and various raw materials for different in- dustries.This also aids in preventing the continuous rise in tropospheric temperature due to the green house effect of CO_2.In this article an overview of the growth taken place so far in the field of CO_2 chemical reduction is pre- sented.The discussion comprises of photochemical meth- ods for the development of different products,viz.CO, CH_3O_H and CH_4,through chemical reduction of CO_2. This includes the use of photo catalysts,mainly TiO_2, and the role of a hole scavenger(such as 2-propanol)for this purpose.     

氯化聚乙烯对甲基丙烯酸甲酯／苯乙烯共聚动力学的影响

将甲基丙烯酸甲酯（ＭＭＡ）／苯乙烯（Ｓ）在氯化聚乙烯（ＣＰＥ）存在下进行悬浮溶胀接枝共聚，考察了ＣＰＥ对ＭＭＡ／Ｓ共聚动力学行为的影响．ＣＰＥ提高了聚合体系的粘度，使自动加速提前，扩散因素增加，对共聚有阻滞作用．ＣＰＥ是链转移剂，使ＭＭＡ／Ｓ共聚物分子量降低．ＣＰＥ对ＭＭＡ的吸附渗透优于对Ｓ的吸附，造成接技部分与非接技部分组成的差异．ＣＰＥ含量、溶胀时间、转化率、硫酸用量对共聚组成均有影响。

Rasch模型在“化学键”概念教学评价中的应用研究

运用Rasch模型探查高二学生对"化学键"概念的认知情况，运用Conquest软件和Winsteps软件对测试结果进行分析。结果表明：基于Rasch模型编制的测试卷能客观有效地检测学生对"化学键"概念的理解，为一线教师的有效教学提供学情基础。     

钴铬水滑石的合成及表征

采用共沉淀法合成了一系列不同Co/Cr物质的量比的碳酸根型水滑石。用X－衍射、红外光谱、差热、热重、分光光度等方法对其组成和结构进行了研究。结果表明Co/Cr投料比为2到3时能形成结晶度好、纯度高的水滑石。初步推测了部分产物的组成及所含水滑石的化学式。
