The static properties such as magnetic moments, charge radii and axial vector coupling constant ratios of the quark core of baryons in the nucleon octet have been calculated in an independent-quark model based on the Dirac equation with equally mixed scalar-vector potential in linear form in the current quark mass limit. The results obtained with appropriate corrections due to centre-of-mass motion are in reasonable agreement with experimental data. The magnetic moments of the quark core of baryons in the charmed andb-flavoured sectors have also been calculated with this model and the overall predictions so obtained compare very well with other model predictions. 相似文献

interaction. With the aid of heavy quark chiral effective Lagrangians, the interactions of charmed strange baryons are described with light meson exchanges. The potential kernels are constructed and inserted into the quasipotential Bethe–Salpeter equation. The bound states are produced from most interactions considered, which suggests that strong attractions exist widely between the charmed strange baryons. Experimental search for these types of molecular states is suggested in future high-precision measurements. 相似文献

The constituent quark model is used to compute the ground and excited state masses of QQQ baryons containing either c or b quarks.The quark model parameters previously used to describe the properties of charmonium and bottomonium states were used in this analysis.The non-relativistic three-body bound state problem is solved by means of the Gaussian expansion method which provides sufficient accuracy and simplifies the subsequent evaluation of the matrix elements.Several low-lying states with quantum numbers J^P=1/2^±,3/2^±,5/2^±and 7/2^+are reported.We compare the results with those obtained by the other theoretical formalisms.There is a general agreement for the mass of the ground state in each sector of triply heavy baryons.However,the situation is more puzzling for the excited states,and appropriate comments about the most relevant features of our comparison are given. 相似文献

The apparatus described here, aSPECT, will be used for a measurement of the neutrino-electron angular correlation coefficient a in the decay of free neutrons. The idea of the aSPECT spectrometer is to measure the integrated proton energy spectrum very accurately using an energy filter by electrostatic retardation and magnetic adiabatic collimation. The main ideas of the spectrometer are presented, followed by an explanation of the adiabatic transmission function. Details of the superconducting coil and of the electrode system are given, as well as a discussion of the most important systematic effects: magnetic field and electrostatic potential inhomogeneities, deviation from adiabatic motion, scattering in the residual gas, background, Doppler effect, edge effect, and detector efficiency. Using this spectrometer, the parameter a is planned to be measured with an absolute experimental uncertainty of a 3 . 10-4, from which the axial vector to vector coupling constant ratio can be determined with an accuracy of 0.001. 相似文献

Up to now,the excited charmed and bottom baryon states have still not been well studied experimentally or theoretically.In this paper,we predict the mass of ?*b,the only L=0 baryon state which has not been observed,to be 6069.2 Me V.The spectra of charmed and bottom baryons with the orbital angular momentum L = 1 are studied in two popular constituent quark models,the Goldstone boson exchange(GBE) model and the one gluon exchange(OGE) hyperfine interaction model.Inserting the latest experimental data from the \"Review of Particle Physics\",we find that in the GBE model,there exist some multiplets(Σc(b),Ξ c(b)and ?c(b)) in which the total spin of the three quarks in their lowest energy states is 3/2,but in the OGE model there is no such phenomenon.This is the most important difference between the GBE and OGE models.These results can be tested in the near future.We suggest more efforts to study the excited charmed and bottom baryons both theoretically and experimentally,not only for the abundance of baryon spectra,but also for determining which hyperfine interaction model best describes nature. 相似文献
