In this paper, a nonlinear control scheme of two identical hyperchaotic Chert systems is developed to realize their modified projective synchronization. We achieve modified projective synchronization between the two identical hyperchaotic systems by directing the scaling factor onto the desired value. Coupled limit cycle oscillators with instantaneous mutual coupling offer a useful but idealized mathematical paradigm for
the study of collective behavior in a wide variety of biological, physical and chemical systems. In most real-life systems
however the interaction is not instantaneous but is delayed due to finite propagation times of signals, reaction times of
chemicals, individual neuron firing periods in neural networks etc. We present a brief overview of the effect of time-delayed
coupling on the collective dynamics of such coupled systems. Simple model equations describing two oscillators with a discrete
time-delayed coupling as well as those describing linear arrays of a large number of oscillators with time-delayed global
or local couplings are studied. Analytic and numerical results pertaining to time delay induced changes in the onset and stability
of amplitude death and phase-locked states are discussed. A number of recent experimental and theoretical studies reveal interesting

We study a model for social influence in which the agents' opinion is a continuous variable [G. Weisbuch et al., Complexity 2002, 7(2), 55]. The convergent opinion adjustment process takes place as a result of random binary encounters whenever the difference between agents' opinions is below a given threshold. Synchronization of spatiotemporal distributed system is investigated by considering the model of 1D dif-fusively coupled complex Ginzburg-Landau oscillators. An itinerant approach is suggested to randomly move turbulentsignal injections in the space of spatiotemporal chaos. The synchronization transition in two coupled chaotic Morris-Lecar (ML) neurons with gap junction is studied with the coupling strength increasing. The conditional Lyapunov exponents, along with the synchronization errors are calculated to diagnose synchronization of two coupled chaotic ML neurons. As a result, it is shown that the increase in the coupling strength leads to incoherence, then induces a transition process consisting of three different synchronization states in succession, namely, burst synchronization, near-synchronization and embedded burst synchronization, and achieves complete synchronization of two coupled neurons finally. These sequential transitions to synchronization reveal a new transition route from incoherence to complete synchronization in coupled systems with multi-time scales. 相似文献

Recently published space-time transformations between inertial systems (different from the Lorentz transformations) are reviewed. Energy and momentum are defined consistently with these new transformation laws. Formally they equal the usual relativistic expressions only in the privileged frame, but numerically they do so in all inertial frames. A new model of neural networks in terms of the memristive Hindmarsh–Rose equations is proposed. Globally dissipative dynamics is shown with absorbing sets in the state spaces.
