This article examines a mathematical model to analyze the rotating flow of three-dimensional water based nanofluid over a convectively heated exponentially stretching sheet in the presence of transverse magnetic field with additional effects of thermal radiation,Joule heating and viscous dissipation.Silver(Ag),copper(Cu),copper oxide(Cu O),aluminum oxide(Al_2O_3)and titanium dioxide(Ti O_2)have been taken under consideration as the nanoparticles and water(H_2O)as the base fluid.Using suitable similarity transformations,the governing partial differential equations(PDEs)of the modeled problem are transformed to the ordinary differential equations(ODEs).These ODEs are then solved numerically by applying the shooting method.For the particular situation,the results are compared with the available literature.The effects of different nanoparticles on the temperature distribution are also discussed graphically and numerically.It is witnessed that the skin friction coefficient is maximum for silver based nanofluid.Also,the velocity profile is found to diminish for the increasing values of the magnetic parameter. 相似文献

A three-dimensional mathematical model is developed to examine the flow of nonlinear thermal radiation Oldroyd-B nanofluid past a bidirectional linearly stretched surface in a porous medium. The flow is induced by temperature dependent thermal conductivity, chemical reaction and convective heat and mass conditions. Novel characteristics of Brownian motion and thermophoresis are accompanied by magnetohydrodynamic and heat generation/absorption. Self-similar transformations are employed to convert the system of nonlinear partial differential equations to a system of ordinary differential equations with high nonlinearity and are solved by strong analytic technique named as Homotopy Analysis method (HAM). Effects of varied arising parameters on involved distributions are reflected through graphical illustrations. From this study, it is perceived that strong magnetic field hinders the fluid's motion and leads to rise in temperature that eventually lowers heat transfer rate from the surface. Further, decrease in heat transfer rate is also observed for enhanced values of thermal radiation parameter. To validate our results, a comparison with already published paper in limiting case is also given and results are found in excellent oncurrence; hence reliable results are being presented. 相似文献

利用飞秒激光脉冲在生长于二氧化硅衬底上的W/CoFeB/Pt和Ta/CoFeB/Pt两类铁磁/非磁性金属异质结构中实现高效、宽带的相干THz脉冲辐射.实验中, THz脉冲的相位随外加磁场的反转而反转,表明THz辐射与样品的磁有序密切相关.为了考察三层膜结构THz辐射的物理机制,分别研究了构成三层膜结构的双层异质结构(包括CoFeB/W, CoFeB/Pt和CoFeB/Ta)的THz辐射.实验结果都与逆自旋霍尔效应相符合, W/CoFeB/Pt和Ta/CoFeB/Pt三层膜结构所辐射的THz强度优于同等激发功率下的ZnTe (厚度0.5 mm)晶体.此外,还研究了两款异质结构和ZnTe的THz辐射强度与激发光脉冲能量密度的关系,发现Ta/CoFeB/Pt的饱和能量密度略大于W/CoFeB/Pt的饱和能量密度,表明自旋电子在Ta/CoFeB/Pt中的界面积累效应相对较小. 相似文献

Contemporary X-ray imaging techniques span a uniquely wide range of spatial resolutions, covering five orders of magnitude. The evolution of X-ray sources, from the earliest laboratory sources through to highly brilliant and coherent free-electron lasers, has been key to the development of these imaging techniques. This review surveys the predominant coherent X-ray imaging techniques with fields of view ranging from that of entire biological organs, down to that of biomolecules. We introduce the fundamental principles necessary to understand the image formation for each technique as well as briefly reviewing coherent X-ray source development. The structural compression mechanism and compressibility of gallium oxyhydroxide, α-GaOOH, are investigated by in situ synchrotron radiation x-ray diffraction at pressures up to 31.0 GPa by using the diamond anvil cell technique. Theα-GaOOH sustains its orthorhombic structure when the pressure is lower than 23.8 GPa. The compression is anisotropic under hydrostatic conditions, with the a-axis being most compressible. The compression proceeds mainly by shrinkage of the void channels formed by the coordination GaO_3(OH)_3 octahedra of the crystal structure. Anomaly is found in the compression behavior to occur at 14.6GPa, which is concomitant with the equatorial distortion of the GaO_3(OH)_3 octahedra. A kink occurs at 14.6 GPa in the plot of finite strain f versus normalized stress F, indicating the change in the bulk compression behavior. The fittings of a second order Birch–Murnaghan equation of state to the P–V data in different pressure ranges result in the bulk moduli B_0= 199(1) GPa for P 14.6 GPa and B_0= 167(2) GPa for P 14.6 GPa. As the pressure is increased to about 25.8 GPa, a first-order phase transformation takes place, which is evidenced by the abrupt decrease in the unit cell volume and b and c lattice parameters. 相似文献

To gain a physical insight into the radiation effect on nanowires(NWs), the time resolved photoluminescence(TRPL)technique is used to investigate the carrier dynamic behaviors in GaAs/AlGaAs core–shell NWs before and after 1-MeV proton irradiation with fluences ranging from 1.0 × 10~(12) cm~(-2) to 3.0 × 10~(13) cm~(-2). It is found that the degradations of spectral peak intensity and minority carrier lifetime show similar trends against irradiation fluence, which is closely related to the displacement defects induced by irradiation. We also find that the proton irradiation-induced defects behave as Shockley–Read–Hall(SRH) recombination center trapping free carriers. Finally, the defect concentration could be estimated through measuring the minority carrier lifetime. 相似文献

With the saddle point analysis method for the Bessel function structure and property, the convergence problem and the scaling laws of Thomson backscattering spectra are solved and studied in both cases that are for the plane wave laser field without and with applied external constant magnetic field. Some unclear points appeared in previous work are clarified. The extension of the method to a general situation for the laser field with an arbitrary polarization is discussed. In a utility boiler, the heat exchanger’s structure is similar to a two-dimensional phononic crystal. Based on the phononic crystal theory, this paper studies sound propagation through tube arrays as a function of the incident sound direction and the surroundings temperature. We carried out both the computational and experimental work for particular values of the pitch and diameters in the tube arrays and studied the band-gap diagram and insertion loss spectra for different angles of incidence. The first band gap is found to correspond to Bragg’s Law while the second band gap moves to lower frequencies as the angle increases. Simulations indicate also that the uneven temperature field influences the insertion loss spectrum. Results of experiments and calculations confirm that, for a particular tube array, the most important factors influencing sound propagation are incidence angle and the surrounding temperature. For the acoustic source in tube arrays, the acoustic radiation have relation with the frequency whether in the acoustic bang gap or not. The results should provide a basis for further work: both on sound source localization and low frequency sonic cleaning in large tube arrays. 相似文献
