为提高电子纸电泳分散液(电泳液)的稳定性并降低使用电压,采用毕克公司的BYK161和BYK110对二氧化钛等颜料复配,制备高稳定的红、绿、蓝、黄、黑各色电泳液,组装成电子纸器件,通过紫外分光光度计对电子纸颜料的反射特征峰进行动力学测试,研究它们的对比度与双稳性,经测定:所得电子纸具有相同的开关时间(470-510 ms),沉降时间(t1/3)为72 h,对比度可达7,具有良好的双稳性,适用于低电压多色电子纸显示。  相似文献

A probed optical lattice is modelled as a driven anharmonic oscillator with noise. For specific values of the probe intensity and detuning, atoms are forced in bistable solutions. The friction and fluctuations that arise from laser cooling, determine the equilibrium between these two modes of vibration. The distribution determines the absorption spectrum and the transient emission spectrum that is emitted by the optical lattice after the probe has been switched off. A time-independent theoretical and numerical analysis of an optical bistable model of two-level atoms in a ring cavity, driven by a coherent field and in contact with a squeezed vacuum field is presented in the two cases of absorptive and dispersive optical bistability (OB). In the former case, a suitable choice of the phase of the squeezed vacuum field reduces the threshold for OB to occur compared with the normal vacuum case. In the latter case, regions of OB are identified as one or two disconnected simple closed curves depending on the cooperation parameter [0pt] : is the maximum possible value of the critical value of C at fixed values of the squeezed vacuum field parameters. Phase switching effects between different (output) states of the system is investigated in detail. In the absorptive case, one- or two-way optical switching is possible depending on [0pt] . We report some new results associated with the synchronization behavior of two coupled double-well Duffing oscillators (DDOs). Some sufficient algebraic criteria for global chaos synchronization of the drive and response DDOs via linear state error feedback control are obtained by means of Lyapunov stability theory. The synchronization is achieved through a bistable state in which a periodic attractor co-exists with a chaotic attractor. Using the linear perturbation analysis, the prevalence of attractors in parameter space and the associated bifurcations are examined. Subcritical and supercritical Hopf bifurcations and abundance of Arnold tongues -- a signature of mode locking phenomenon are found.  相似文献

In this paper, tunable optical bistability that denotes the relationship between input intensity and output intensity is numerically investigated in the microwave frequency region based on the one-dimensional (1D) sandwich photonic structure consisting of a Kerr-type nonlinear material slab and two magnetized cold plasma layers. Results show that, in the case of TM-polarized electromagnetic wave, width and switching thresholds of the bistability loops are dependent on the working frequency, initial incidence angle, layer thickness, plasma density, and external magnetic field, which should be judiciously selected to obtain a required bistability behavior. Compared to the case of switch-down threshold, the switch-up threshold in the bistability loop is more sensitive to the changes of parameters. Through this study, the suggested 1D sandwich photonic structure is beneficial to the all-optical signal processing.  相似文献

The steady state behavior of optical bistable system in a ring cavity with transverse field variations and inhomogeneousely broadened two-level atoms is investigated outside the rotating wave approximation (RWA). Analytical and numerical investigation is presented for different cases of transverse field variations with Lorentzian or Gaussian line widths. When both (transverse and inhomogeneous) features taken into account, the first harmonic output field component outside the RWA exhibits a one-way switching down processes (butterfly OB) or reversed (clockwise) OB behavior, depending on the atomic linewidth shape.  相似文献

We consider a discrete model that describes a linear chain of particles coupled to an isolated ring composed of N defects. This simple system can be regarded as a generalization of the familiar Fano-Anderson model. It can be used to model discrete networks of coupled defect modes in photonic crystals and simple waveguide arrays in two-dimensional lattices. The analytical result of the transmission coefficient is obtained, along with the conditions for perfect reflections and transmissions due to either destructive or constructive interferences. Using a simple example, we further investigate the relationship between the resonant frequencies and the number of defects N, and study how to affect the numbers of perfect reflections and transmissions. In addition, we demonstrate how these resonance transmissions and refections can be tuned by one nonlinear defect of the network that possesses a nonlinear Kerr-like response.  相似文献

Optical bistable behavior for a system of inhomogeneously broadened two sorts of two-level atoms in a ring cavity is investigated outside the rotating wave approximation (RWA). The model Maxwell–Bloch equations are treated with Fourier decomposition up to first harmonic. The first harmonic output field component exhibits reversed or mushroom bistability simultaneously with bi- and double-bistability in the fundamental field component.
