We describe various derivative estimators for the case of steady-state performance measures and obtain the order of their convergence rates. These estimatorsdo not use explicitly the regenerative structure of the system. Estimators based on infinitesimal perturbation analysis, likelihood ratios, and different kinds of finite-differences are examined. We address the problem of interrelations between the properties of an action of a discrete group on a compact Hausdorff space and the algebraic and analytical properties of the module of all continuous functions over the algebra of invariant continuous functions . The present paper is a continuation of our joint paper with M. Frank and V. Manuilov. Here we prove some statements inverse to the ones obtained in that paper: we deduce properties of actions from properties of modules. In particular, it is proved that if for a uniformly continuous action the module is finitely generated projective over , then the cardinality of orbits of the action is finite and fixed. Sufficient conditions for existence of natural conditional expectations are obtained.

Target-blanket facility ‘Energy + Transmutation’ was irradiated by proton beam extracted from the Nuclotron Accelerator in Laboratory of High Energies of Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna, Russia. Neutrons generated by the spallation reactions of 0.7, 1.0, 1.5 and 2 GeV protons and lead target interact with subcritical uranium blanket. In the neutron field outside the blanket, radioactive iodine, neptunium, plutonium and americium samples were irradiated and transmutation reaction yields (residual nuclei production yields) have been determined using γ-spectroscopy. Neutron field's energy distribution has also been studied using a set of threshold detectors. Results of transmutation studies of 129I, 237Np, 238Pu, 239Pu and 241Am are presented.   相似文献

Raman spectra of single-wall carbon nanotubes (CNTs) either in the form of micrometer sized bundles or thin layers prepared by dilution and sonication of powders have been compared. We have been able to collect the Raman spectrum of nanotube bundles that are not in touch with the substrate, and therefore not affected by interactions with the substrate surface. This spectrum resulted to be similar to that of the precursor nanotube powders, whereas relevant changes in the Raman spectrum are detected when the diluted powders form very thin layers on either metallic or insulating surfaces, as probed by confocal microraman imaging on well defined areas of the CNTs layers. In the case of thin layers, the intensity of the Raman D band, detected between 1 320 and 1 340 cm-1 and ascribed to disorder effects, is strongly enhanced. Quantum Hamiltonian systems corresponding to classical systems related by a general canonical transformation are considered. The differential equation to find the unitary operator, which corresponds to the canonical transformation and connects quantum states of the original and transformed systems, is obtained. The propagator associated with their wave functions is found by the unitary operator. Quantum systems related by a linear canonical point transformation are analyzed. The results are tested by finding the wave functions of the under-, critical-, and over-damped harmonic oscillator from the wave functions of the harmonic oscillator, free-particle system, and negative harmonic potential system, using the unitary operator to connect them, respectively.  相似文献

The mixed micellization between the cationic gemini surfactant [ C12H25( CH3)2N+( C2H4) N+( CH3)2 C12H25•2Br-] and the cationic cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) in 150 mM KBr solutions has been investigated. The variation of the cmc of the mixtures, measured by surface tension experiments, with composition revealed synergism in micelle formation. T-Jump and light scattering experiments performed in the vicinity of the crossover volume fraction showed the existence of two micellar populations, possibly linear and toroidal micelles. Rheological and dynamic light scattering experiments allowed to fully characterize the linear viscoelasticity of the mixtures. These measurements revealed synergistic gains in viscoelastic properties with a maximum of the stress-relaxation time around the equimolar composition. These effects are ascribed to a progressive intermicellar crosslinking resulting from a continuous increase of the end-cap energy with the 12-2-12 content in the mixture. In this paper, we successfully invented a polarization controlled light source for coherent or noncoherent fiber communication systems. The structure of our experiment includes 89C51 control board and feedback circuit which can stabilize states of polarization (SOPs) of output light. From the SOP modulation results, the given degree of polarization can be effectively controlled and the polarization state can be arbitrarily changed.  相似文献

We investigate the structural behavior of a poly(styrene)-block-poly(acrylic acid) diblock copolymer which forms hexagonally-packed PS cylinders (C-phase) in the melt state. The water dispersion of this structure provides hairy cylinders which comprise a PAA swollen cylindrical brush with a height h tunable via its degree of ionization and the ionic strength in the solution, and a water-free, PS cylindrical core of constant radius RC. Such system constitutes an out-of-equilibrium frustrated model system: the selective swelling of the PAA brush results in a frustration of the interface curvature, which the ratio h/RC allows to quantify. Upon heating at a temperature higher than the glass transition temperature of the PS core, the glassiness of the core is relieved and the mechanical constraints arising from the selective swelling of the structure can be relaxed: the cylinders undergo a cylinder-to-sphere transition upon annealing at high temperature, when above a frustration threshold h/RC 1.8. Thanks to a careful mapping of the transition diagram, an undulating cylindrical morphology (UC) is identified between unchanged cylinders ( h/RC 1.8) and spheres ( h/RC 2.0), which appears to result from a Rayleigh-like pearling instability of the copolymer cylinders.  相似文献

We present predictions for the K-α scattering length obtained within the framework of the multiple-scattering approach. Evaluating the pole position of the K-α scattering amplitude within the zero-range approximation, we find a loosely bound K-α state with a binding energy of ER = - 2,..., - 7 MeV and a width ΓR = 11,..., 18 MeV. We propose to measure the K-α scattering length through the final-state interaction between the α and K--meson produced in the reaction dd↦αK+K-. It is found that the K-α invariant-mass distribution from this reaction at energies near the threshold provides a new tool to determine the s-wave K-α scattering length.  相似文献

We study the stability analysis and control synthesis of uncertain discrete-time two-dimensional(2D) systems.The mathematical model of the discrete-time 2D system is established upon the well-known Roesser model,and the uncertainty phenomenon,which appears typically in practical environments,is modeled by a convex bounded(polytope type) uncertain domain.The stability analysis and control synthesis of uncertain discrete-time 2D systems are then developed by applying the Lyapunov stability theory.In the processes of stability analysis and control synthesis,the obtained stability/stabilzaition conditions become less conservative by applying some novel relaxed techniques.Moreover,the obtained results are formulated in the form of linear matrix inequalities,which can be easily solved via standard numerical software.Finally,numerical examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the obtained results.  相似文献
