Highly fluorescent blends based on PVK (poly(N-vinylcarbazole)) doped by a new greatly anisometric Eu(III) mesogenic complex were described. The structure of the ligands in the complex was selected in such a way that its absorption maximum was close to the emission maximum of the polymer. The full-energy transfer conditions in the conjugated polymer–lanthanide complex blends were revealed. Improving luminescence efficiency of the blend occurs due to an increase in the threshold concentration of the emitting ions to prevent self-quenching phenomena. The resulting relative luminescence quantum yield of the blend increases more than twice in comparison with the individual complex. The optimized blends may be promising for application as red emitters for OLED, etc. 相似文献

An issue with most gas chromatographic detectors is their inability to deconvolve coeluting isomers. Dimethylnaphthalenes are a class of compounds that can be particularly difficult to speciate by gas chromatography – mass spectrometry analysis, because of their significant coelution and similar mass spectra. As an alternative, a vacuum ultraviolet spectroscopic detector paired with gas chromatography was used to study the systematic deconvolution of mixtures of coeluting isomers of dimethylnaphthalenes. Various ratio combinations of 75:25; 50:50; 25:75; 20:80; 10:90; 5:95; and 1:99 were prepared to test the accuracy, precision, and sensitivity of the detector for distinguishing overlapping isomers that had distinct, but very similar absorption spectra. It was found that, under reasonable injection conditions, all of the pairwise overlapping isomers tested could be deconvoluted up to nearly two orders of magnitude (up to 99:1) in relative abundance. These experimental deconvolution values were in agreement with theoretical covariance calculations performed for two of the dimethylnaphthalene isomers. Covariance calculations estimated high picogram detection limits for a minor isomer coeluting with low to mid-nanogram quantity of a more abundant isomer. Further characterization of the analytes was performed using density functional theory computations to compare theory with experimental measurements. Additionally, gas chromatography – vacuum ultraviolet spectroscopy was shown to be able to speciate dimethylnaphthalenes in jet and diesel fuel samples. 相似文献

In this study, blends of chitosan (Cs) and bisphenol-F-diglycidyl ether (3.80 × 10?3 to 3.80 × 10?2 mol) were cast by the solution route. FT-IR results suggested that chitosan was cross-linked at terminal amino groups through diepoxide linkage. The chitosan films became less flexible and stiffer upon reaction with epoxy. Blending improved percentage elongation (31%) and toughness (10 MPa), whereas Young’s modulus (145 MPa) and tensile strength (45 MPa) were decreased. Extent of weight loss in Cs/BPFDGE was lower (15%) than that of original precursors (chitosan 33%). This review presents recent advances in multi-component electrocatalysts for low-temperature fuel cells (FCs) synthesized via sonochemical reactions. As a feasible approach to develop novel electrocatalysts that can overcome the many problems of the prevailing Pt electrocatalysts, Pt- or Pd-based alloy and core–shell M@Pt nanoparticles (NPs) have been pursued. Synthesizing NPs with desirable properties often turn out to be challenging. Sonochemistry generates extreme conditions via acoustic cavitation, which have been utilized in the syntheses of various Pt and Pd NPs and Pt- and Pd-based alloy NPs. Especially, it has been reported that several M@Pt core–shell NPs can be synthesized by sonochemistry, which is hard to achieve by other methods. The principles of sonochemistry are presented with examples. Also alloy NPs and core–shell NPs synthesized by sonochemistry and those by other methods are compared. 相似文献
