Recent measurements of nucleon resonance transition form factors with CLAS at Jefferson Lab are discussed. The new data confirm the assertion of the symmetric constituent quark model of the Roper as the first radial excitation of the nucleon. The data on high Q2 nπ+ production better constrain the branching ratios liNK and [3Nn. For the first time, the longitudinal transition amplitude to the S11(1535) was extracted from the nπ+ data. Also, new results on the transition amplitudes for the D13(1520) resonance are presented showing a rapid transition from helicity 3/2 dominance seen at the real photon point to helicty 1/2 dominance at higher Q2. We report the analysis status of single π0electroproduction in the resonance region to study the electromagnetic excitation of the nucleon resonances. The study is aimed at understanding of the internal structure and dynamics of the nucleon. The experiment was performed using an unpolarized cryogenic hydrogen target and 2.0 and 5.8 GeV polarized electron beam during the ele and e1-6 run periods with CLAS at Jefferson Lab. The new measurements will produce a data base with high statistics and large kinematic coverage for the hadronic invariant mass (W) up to 2.0 CeV in the momentum transfer (Q2) range of 0.3--6.0 GeV2. 石墨烯作为一种单层碳原子厚度的二维材料,其在可见光和近红外波段的吸收率只有2.3%。这大大限制了其在太阳能电池、光电探测等领域的应用。本文提出一种金属-介质组成的周期纳米结构,利用纳米结构中激发的磁激元共振(Magentic Polaritons,"MP")效应,实现了石墨烯在近红外波段的吸收增强。利用有限元法的理论仿真,系统研究了纳米结构参数对石墨烯吸收特性的影响。结果表明,在特定结构参数下,能使石墨烯的吸收率增大16倍左右。利用Inductor-Capacitor(LC)电路模型成功解释了石墨烯的吸收增强的物理机制,预测了复合系统的磁激元共振峰波长,发现石墨烯的存在不影响磁激元共振峰的位置。文中提出的纳米结构在加工上易于实现,研究结果将在基于石墨烯的新型光电子器件的设计和实现方面有潜在应用价值。 相似文献

The beam-helicity asymmetry has been measured simultaneously for the reactions
p→epγ and
p→epπ
0 in the Δ(1232)-resonance region at Q
2 = 0.35(GeV/c)2. The experiment was performed at MAMI with a longitudinally polarized beam and an out-of-plane detection of the proton. The
results are compared with calculations based on dispersion relations for virtual Compton scattering and with the MAID model
for pion electroproduction. There is an overall good agreement between experiment and theoretical calculations. The remaining
discrepancies may be ascribed to an imperfect parametrization of some γ

N→πN multipoles, mainly contributing to the non-resonant background. The beam-helicity asymmetry in both channels (γ and π

Bifurcated overtones of one-way localized Fabry-Pérot resonances in parity-time symmetric optical lattices 下载免费PDF全文
Since the first observation of parity-time(PT) symmetry in optics, varied interesting phenomena have been discovered in both theories and experiments, such as PT phase transition and unidirectional invisibility, which turns PT-symmetric optics into a hotspot in research. Here, we report on the one-way localized Fabry-Pérot(FP) resonance, where a welldesigned PT optical resonator may operate at exceptional points with bidirectional transparency but unidirectional field localization. Overtones of such one-way localized FP resonance can be classified into a blue shifted branch and a red shifted branch. Therefore, the fundamental resonant frequency is not the lowest one. We find that the spatial field distributions of the overtones at the same absolute order are almost the same, even though their frequencies are quite different. 相似文献

The scattering of a hyperthermal Xe from a graphite (0001) surface
has been studied using a molecular beam-surface scattering technique
and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations.
The angular and velocity distributions of scattered Xe atoms
were measured at incidence energies from 0.45 to 3.5 eV,
three incidence angles of 15°, 35° and 60°
and the surface temperatures of 300 K and 550 K.
The observed time-of-flight spectra exhibit a sharp velocity distribution
with only one velocity component, which is ascribed
to the direct inelastic scattering process.
The angle-resolved energy ratios of the mean final translational energy
over the mean incidence energy Ef/Ei agree well
with those predicted based on the assumption of the conservation
of the momentum parallel to the surface.
The Hard-Cube model, where the mass of the cube is approximately 310 u,
has reproduced the angle-resolved flux distributions of scattered Xe atoms.
In the Hard-Cube model
almost 80% of the normal component of the incidence translational energy is found
to be lost in collision.
The MD simulations reproduce well the experimental results
by using the Brenner potential for intralayer C atoms
and a Lennard-Jones potential for interlayer C–C pair interactions. 相似文献
