Fragment angular distributions in fission and fission-like reactions

Fragment angular distributions in fission is one of the oldest and well understood aspects of fission theory. However, recent heavy ion-induced fission and fission-like reactions have added a new dimension to this problem. We review here our present understanding of the fragment angular distribution theory in fission and fission-like reactions.

Incorporating Angular Information into Parametric Models

The problem is considered of fitting a parametrically defined model in two or three dimensions to observed data, when angular information about the measured data points is available. Gauss-Newton methods based on correct separation of variables are developed. Some numerical results are included.

A theoretical analysis of angular deformation and local stresses in spherical vessels

In this paper several geometrical relations of angular deformation and the analytical expressions of local stresses in spherical vessels are established with the analytical method. A concise and practical formula for calculating the stress concentration coefficient is derived, which shows that the stress concentration is related to angular deformation and increases with an increases of the square root of the ratio of radius to thickness.     

Theoretical Treatment of Electric and Magnetic Multipole Radiation Near a Planar Dielectric Surface Based on Angular Spectrum Representation of Vector Field

We have developed an analytic treatment of light emission properties of electric and magnetic multipoles near a planar dielectric surface, using angular spectrum representation of vector spherical waves. The results are described in terms of spatial rotation matrix elements, so that the angular distribution of light emission for higher order multipoles is easily obtained, which enables us to evaluate basic optical near-field problems such as electric dipole radiation with arbitrary orientation with respect both to surface and observation direction. The numerical results are in good agreement with our previous experimental results and the numerical results reported by Lukosz.     

Polaritons in confined systems

Polaritons in confined systems are introduced and their dispersion is calculated. The amount of squeezing of confined excitons-polaritons in GaAs quantum wells is evaluated.     

分子角动量定位和定向布居的制备与探测

利用线偏振和园偏振激光受激拉曼抽运技术，选择性地制备了C2H2线性分子电子基中红外非激活振动模v″2=1的单一转动态J″（X^1∑^ g,v″＝1，J″）的角动量定向布居和定位布居。并从线偏振及园偏振紫外激光光诱导的A^1*Au(v′3＝1）←X^1∑^ g(v″2＝1）的电子跃迁荧光光谱中，直接测定了C2H2（X^1∑^ g，v″=1，J″＝4、7、8、9、10、11、12、13）的角动量定向布居值A^(1)O为0．7－0．8之间，对于J″=2、3、4、5、6、7、8、9、11的角动量定位布居值A^(2)0为－0．7－－0．9。这一结果表明，人们可用于上述激光抽动技术可控制C2H2分子在反应前的角动量空间布居。     

Influence of giant angular resonances on the electromagnetic characteristics of low-lying states

The two-rotor model0 with the Feshbach projection operator method is applied for investigating the properties of the positive parity low-lying collective states in the rare earth nuclei. The calculations of the energy spectra, E2-transition probability and magnetic properties of the states of β- and γ-bands are carried out for the isotopes ^{164, 166, 168}Er. The B(M1) values from 1⁺ states to the ground band are estimated.
