For the first time, the wettability and surface energy of parylene F were investigated. The results showed that parylene F had a hydrophobic surface with an eigen water contact angle of 104.7 ± 0.6°. We found that 3.5 μl probe liquid was an optimal value for the contact angle measurement of parylene F. Moreover, we found that the Lifshitz–van der Waals/acid–base approach was unsuitable for determining the surface energy of parylene F, whereas the Owens–Wendt–Kaelble approach and the limitless liquid–solid interface wetting system were compatible. The surface energy of parylene F was estimated to be 27.06 mJ/m2 (Owens–Wendt–Kaelble) and 40.41 mJ/m2 (Limitless liquid-solid interface wetting system). Furthermore, this investigation also provided a reference for the applications of empirical and physics-based semi-empirical approaches for the estimation of surface energy.  相似文献

Based on the local density approximation (LDA) in the framework of the density-functional theory, we study the details of electronic structure, energetics and geometric structure of the chiral carbon nanotubes. For the electronic structure, we study all the chiral nanotubes with the diameters between 0.8 and 2.0 nm (154 nanotubes). This LDA result should give the important database to be compared with the experimental studies in the future. We plot the peak-to-peak energy separations of the density of states (DOS) as a function of the nanotube diameter (D). For the semiconducting nanotubes, we find the peak-to-peak separations can be classified into two types according to the chirality. This chirality dependence of the LDA result is opposite to that of the simple π tight-binding result. We also perform the geometry optimization of chiral carbon nanotubes with different chiral-angle series. From the total energy as a function of D, it is found that chiral nanotubes are less stable than zigzag nanotubes. We also find that the distribution of bond lengths depends on the chirality.  相似文献

全息光存储以其高密度、大容量、高速并行数据存取而成为光存储领域的一个重要研究方向。生物光致变色材料———菌紫质是一种新型可擦重写全息记录介质。实验证明了使用菌紫质薄膜进行角度复用和偏振复用全息存储的可行性。利用菌紫质的光致变色特性,采用90°角度复用全息存储光路,在BR-D96N薄膜样品同一位置上实现了6幅全息图存储,并分别读出了无串扰的再现像。利用菌紫质薄膜的光致各向异性进行了偏振复用全息存储,在BR-D96N薄膜样品的同一位置上存储了两幅正交偏振光记录的图像,用原参考光再现和偏振片选择,可分别读出这两幅图像。  相似文献

A geometric visualization is presented for the Brewster angle for a plane wave reflecting from an interface. The surface is assumed to be isotropic but it is allowed to display both dielectric and magnetic susceptibility, and hence the Brewster (polarizing) angle can attain any value between 0 and 90°, and can exist for both parallel and perpendicular polarizations. The geometric construction (a tetrahedron) is spanned by the basic material parameters of the surface. The Brewster angle appears in one of the faces of the tetrahedron.  相似文献

We prepared high quality Au(1 1 1) film on Si wafer through the spin coating and thermal decomposition of a gold ink, spin-coated-and-fired (SCAF) Au film. The X-ray measurements, XRD and pole-figure analysis, showed that the SCAF Au film has a (1 1 1) out-of-plane orientation with a random in-plane orientation. In order to confirm the chemical activity of the SCAF Au film, we demonstrate the formation of patterned structures with the film by using soft lithography technique. The chemical activities of this physically stable SCAF Au film to the alkanethiols were at least equivalent those of physically deposited the Au films. The possibility of the mass production of micro patterned structure with the SCAF Au film was also demonstrated over the wide region on Si wafer by the microcontact lithography. These suggest that the Au film will help the easy fabrication of various nanosized devices on Si wafer and other substrates.  相似文献

Surface-confined telechelic poly(ε-caprolactone) macroligand with two distinct functional groups per polymeric chain has been synthesized and characterized. The molecular microstructure of the macroligand with regard to the properties of the end-capped functionalities and with those on surface substrate has been studied by solution and surface analytical methods (i.e., X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), grazing angle reflectance-Fourier transform IR spectroscopy (GA-FTIR), water contact angle measurements, and atomic force microscopy (AFM)) to elucidate the structure and properties of such multifunctional polymer on gold (1 1 1) substrate.  相似文献
