Interface sharpness in the Ising model with long-range interaction

For the 3-dimensional Ising model with long-range interaction, Gibbs states are constructed that are small perturbations of non-translation-invariant ground states. These ground states are in one-to-one correspondence with the set of all rational planes.     

Triangle anomaly free weak interaction with two neutral currents

Considering that the neutral interaction is free of triangle anomalies we derive an expression for the most general neutral interaction with two neutral currents. We show that the Bargers version is a special case. We also determine the interaction wheneverZ, D are mass eigen states and show that this differs from the Barger’s version in an essential way.     

ENERGY PRINCIPLE OF THREE DIMENSIONAL J INTEGRAL

Various exprressions of three-dimensional J integral are proposed. We derive here three-dimensional J integral by means of general potential energy principle and Green's theomem. Its physical meaning and application are shown in the paper, the results are true both for infinitesimal and finite deformation.     

Evaluation of one-centre electron interaction integrals over slater type atomic orbitals

Simplified expressions for one-centre electron interaction integrals in general and Slater-Condon parameters as well as repulsion integrals of the type (aa|aa) in particular have been obtained over Slater-type atomic orbitals. Results calculated using these expressions are in agreement with those due to other authors.     

Coherent, two-wave interaction in relativistic Cherenkov generators

A relativistic, two-wave generator working near -type oscillations of two lowest modes with frequency band around 8 mm, is investigated experimentally. Obtained output radiation patterns point to a single-frequency radiation character. The efficiency is found to rise in two-wave regimes in comparison with one-wave ones. The generator assembled of two sections is also considered.     

Pion absorption by16O using realistic interactions—II: Free pion absorption followed by emission of proton

Matrix element of the Gallilean invariant nonrelativistic reduction of the pseudoscalar-pseudovector interaction has been calculated for free pion absorption by a single nucleon inside the nucleus of¹⁶O. The Hartree-Fock wavefunctions obtained with the unitary-model-operator approach starting with the hard-core nucleon-nucleon interaction have been used for the π-capturing nucleon in the initial state. The initial pion distortion in the presence of nuclear field of the absorbing nucleus prior to its absorption together with the Coulomb interaction with the finite nuclear size has been taken into account. The distortion of the emitted proton in the field of the residual nucleus has also been considered. The differential cross-sections have been obtained and calculated results are compared with the previous experimental and theoretical work.     

Study of the bandwidth characteristic of a non-reflection-type gyrotron TWA

With a set of equations for the self-consistent large-signal interaction derived in this paper, the bandwidth characteristics of a non-reflection-type gyrotron-TWA using a tapered waveguide and tapered magnetic field system have been analysed. Numerical calculations indicate that under defined conditions an instantaneous bandwidth of nearly 10 % at a center frequency of 35 GHz with a length of the order of only8 cm of the rf interaction region could be achieved.     

次近邻相互作用对Heisenberg XX链纠缠影响的研究

研究了存在次近邻相互作用(耦合)时Heisenberg XX链的纠缠特性. 结果表明对近邻格点, 随着耦合常数J的变化, 次近邻相互作用的存在可能使其纠缠度增大或者减小; 而对次近邻格点, 引进次近邻相互作用却可以产生纠缠, 并且使其随着|J|的增大而增大. 近邻格点间纠缠存在的临界温度T_c随着J的增大而降低, 次近邻格点间纠缠存在的临界温度T_c随着|J|的增大而升高. 此外对纠缠W态的制备, 次近邻相互作用的存在还使得三量子位情形时W态产生的时刻改变, 而对于四量子位情形却没有影响.     

The LPCTrap experiment: measurement of the β–ν angular correlation in 6He using a transparent Paul trap

We report on the status of the LPCTrap experiment, devoted to measure the β–ν angular correlation in the pure Gamow–Teller decay of ⁶He. This measurement is motivated by the search for the presence of tensor type contributions to the weak interaction. The ⁶He ions are confined in a novel transparent Paul trap. The β particles and the recoil ions are detected in coincidence to deduce the angular correlation parameter. The commissioning run performed in 2005 has given the proof of principle of this experiment. Up to 10⁵ coincidences were recorded during a second run in 2006.     

Isospin symmetry violation, meson production and η-nucleus interaction studies

We have studied isospin symmetry violation in nuclear reactions by measuring simultaneously the cross-section of the following two reactionsp +d →³H π⁺ andp +d →³He π⁰. The experiment was perfomed at the cooler synchrotron accelerator COSY, Jülich at several beam energies close to the correspondingη production threshold. We also have ongoing programmes onη-nucleus final-state interaction studies viap+⁶ Li →⁷ Be +η reactions, high resolution search for dibaryonic resonances and lambda-proton final state interaction studies. The experimental details and results obtained so far are presented here
