The FePt system has important perspectives as high-temperature corrosion-resistant magnets. In the form of rapidly solidified melt-spun ribbons, FePt-based magnets may exhibit in certain cases a two-phase hard–soft magnetic behaviour. The present paper deals with a microstructural and magnetic study of FePtAgB alloys with increasing Ag content. The aim is to identify and confirm the effect of Ag addition in decreasing the temperature of the FePt disorder–order structural phase transformation. A detailed high-resolution transmission electron microscopy study is employed, and the alternative disposal of hard and soft regions within the two-phase microstructure is observed and interpreted with respect to the X-ray diffraction results. In the as-cast Ag-containing samples, it is shown that there is an optimum of the Ag content for which best magnetic properties are obtained. Ag addition creates a nonlinear behaviour of the coercive field and the ordering parameter, similar to the RKKY interaction-induced interlayer exchange coupling (IEC) observed in magnetic layers separated by non-magnetic spacer layers. Direct formation of the L10 phase from the as-cast state in the FePtAgB alloys is reported with magnetic parameters compatible to other exchange spring permanent nanomagnets. The two-phase pressure drop in vertical industrial pipes is mainly determined by gravitation and acceleration of the fluid, which means that the void fraction is key an important parameter in any model to predict pressure drops. Typically, these models are applied in industry to size pumps and, e.g., emergency relief systems. There is a shortage of void fraction data in the literature for liquids with a dynamic viscosity above 1000 mPa s. Adiabatic experiments have been performed of mixtures of nitrogen and solutions of polyvinylpyrrolidone (Luviskol®) in water with dynamic viscosities in the range 900–7000 mPa s. Inner tube diameter was 54.5 mm. Mass flux and quality were varied in a wide range: 8–3500 kg/m2/s and 0–82%, respectively. The corresponding superficial velocities were 0.005–3.4 m/s for the liquid and 0–30 m/s for the nitrogen. For comparison, reference measurements were taken of mixtures of nitrogen with water (1 mPa s). Care has been taken to measure only well-developed flows. 相似文献

Any solid state X-ray photoelectron spectrum (XPS) contains contributions due to multiple inelastic scattering in the bulk, surface excitations, energy losses originating from the screening of the final state hole (intrinsic losses), and, for non-monochromatized incident radiation, ghost lines originating from the X-ray satellites. In the present paper it is shown how all these contributions can be consecutively removed from an experimental spectrum employing a single general deconvolution procedure. Application of this method is possible whenever the contributions mentioned above are uncorrelated. It is shown that this is usually true in XPS to a good approximation. The method is illustrated on experimental non-monochromatized MgK spectra of Au acquired at different detection angles but for the same angle of incidence of the X-rays. 相似文献

An in situ time-resolved optical reflection and transmission (TRORT) monitoring system combining two He-Ne probe lasers, a digital oscilloscope and three fast photodetectors is developed to investigate the crystallization processes of Si thin films during excimer laser crystallization (ELC). The physical meaning of optical spectra obtained by TRORT measurements has been interpreted in detail. The melt duration and transient phase transformation dynamics of Si thin films can be determined and interpreted immediately. This work deals with the numerical localization of small electromagnetic inhomogeneities. The underlying inverse problem considers, in a three-dimensional bounded domain, the time-harmonic Maxwell equations formulated in electric field. Typically, the domain contains a finite number of unknown inhomogeneities of small volume and the inverse problem attempts to localize these inhomogeneities from a finite number of boundary measurements. Our localization approach is based on a recent framework that uses an asymptotic expansion for the perturbations in the tangential boundary trace of the curl of the electric field. We present three numerical localization procedures resulting from the combination of this asymptotic expansion with each of the following inversion algorithms: the Current Projection method, the MUltiple Signal Classification (MUSIC) algorithm, and an Inverse Fourier method. We perform a numerical study of the asymptotic expansion and compare the numerical results obtained from the three localization procedures in different settings. 相似文献
