Effects of self-coiling of organic molecules on intramolecular exciplex formation of compound I,in which the carbazole chromophore and terephthalic acid methylester acceptor group are linked by one (CH2)10 chain,and the decrease of the fluorescence intensities of compounds Ⅱ,Ⅲ,and Ⅳ,in which the carbazole chromophore and 3,5-dinitrobenzoate are connected by one aliphatic chain of (CH2)10 (Ⅱ),(CH2)12(Ⅲ),or (CH2)4(Ⅳ),have been studied in the dioxane (DX)-H2O binary system.The results show that self-coiling of organic molecules in DX-H2O facilitates intramolecular exciplex formation of I and induces the decrease of fluorescence intensities of Ⅱ,bacause of the proximity effect brought about by selfcoiling of organic molecules under hydrophobic-lipophilic interaction(HLI) between the excited carbazole chromophore and the acceptor.Since the similar effects are observed even when the concentration of the probes are less than their CAgCs(critical aggregate concentrations )in the DX-H2O mixture with the same φ values,formation of the intermolecular exciplex has been excluded.The effects are found to be strongly depended on φ values,indication that they are mainly driven by HLI.The properties of the acceptors can also affect the intramolecular exciplex formation.With terephthalic acid methylester moiety as the acceptor,the carbazole chromophore exhibits the fluorescence spectra of the exciplex,while with 3,5-dinitrobenzoate moiety as the acceptor,only the fluorescence spectra of excited carbazolyl chromophore are observed.  相似文献

Mass determination by mass spectrometric methods (electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS), matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOFMS)) of sodiumdodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE)-separated proteins is a well known procedure and reliable protocols are available. In our efforts to use the established methods to determine the molecular mass of the disulfide bridged, heterodimeric glycoprotein GP3 and to determine the carbohydrate content of each protein subunit we developed an in-gel chemical deglycosylation method. For this purpose we established experimental conditions that allow maximum extraction of the high molecular mass protein subunits and developed a routine method to apply the HF-pyridine deglycosylation protocol to proteins isolated from polyacrylamide gel pieces. The novel protocol and extraction procedure described can be used to analyze O-glycosylated proteins up to 150 kDa after SDS-PAGE separation.  相似文献

To investigate the solvation structure of the Cu(II) ion in liquid ammonia, ab initio quantum-mechanical/molecular-mechanical (QM/MM) molecular dynamics (MD) simulations were carried out at Hartree Fock (HF) and hybrid density functional theory (B3 LYP) levels. A sixfold-coordinated species was found to be predominant in the HF case whereas five- and sixfold-coordinated complexes were obtained in a ratio 2:1 from the B3 LYP simulation. In contrast to hydrated Cu(II), which exhibits a typical Jahn-Teller distortion, the geometrical arrangement of ligand molecules in the case of ammonia can be described as a [2 + 4] ([2 + 3]) configuration with 4 (3) elongated copper-nitrogen bonds. First shell solvent exchange reactions at picosecond rate took place in both HF and B3 LYP simulations, again in contrast to the more stable sixfold-coordinated hydrate. NH3 ligands apparently lead to strongly accelerated dynamics of the Cu(II) solvate due to the "inverse" [2 + 4] structure with its larger number of elongated copper-ligand bonds. Several dynamical properties, such as mean ligand residence times or ion-ligand stretching frequencies, prove the high lability of the solvated complex.  相似文献

Two copper complexes [Cu(TTA)2(4,4′‐azpy)] (1) and [Cu‐(TTA)2(3,3′‐azpy)] (2) (HTTA = 1,1,1‐trifluoro‐3‐(2‐thenoyl)‐acetone, 4,4′‐azpy = 4,4′‐azobispyridine, 3,3′‐azpy = 3,3′‐azobispyridine) were synthesized and characterized. The crystal structures were determined by X‐ray diffraction analysis. The crystal 1 belongs to triclinic with space group P1 , a = 0.8515(2) nm, b = 0.9259(2) nm, c = 0.9468(2) nm, a = 66.126(9)°, β = 79.667(9)°, γ = 90.13(1)°, Z = 1, V = 0.6692(2) nm3, Dc = 3.425 g/cm3, γ = 2.113 mm?1, F(000) = 694, R1 = 0.0594, wR2 = 0.1499. The crystal 2 belongs to monoclinic with space group P21/c, a = 1.0661(2) nm, b = 1.4296(3) ran, c = 1.0041(3) nm, β = 114.50(3)°, V = 1.3926(5) nm3, Z = 2, Dc = 1.646 g/ cm3, μ = 1.015 mm?1, F(000) = 694, R1, = 0.0535, wR2 = 0.1113. In the crystals of complexes 1 and 2, the copper atoms have distorted octahedral symmetry. The two compounds possess very similar one‐dimensional linear chains linked through the rodlike 4,4′‐azpy ligands or 3,3′‐azpy ligands.  相似文献

Multidimensional gas chromatography (2D GC) is demonstrated as a way to improve limits of detectability of spectrophotometric detectors. UV and IR detectors are generally less sensitive than mass spectrometers or other GC detectors. This has placed some limitations on the useful capabilities provided by spectrophotometric detectors, such as the ability to provide structure‐related information for a particular analyte. In this paper, we report results from interfacing a 2D GC instrument to a UV detector. Symmetry factor and the ratio of retention time divided by peak width did not show deterioration of the quality of chromatography when a megabore column was used with this detector. Furthermore, an increase in the limits of detectability over that attainable in a single‐column system was realized by using the 2D GC system. However, the low flow (1 mL/min) imposed by the use of a microbore column (250 μm ID) caused significant tailing when the UV detector was used.  相似文献

A series of viologen polymers with bromide, tosylate, and triflimide as counterions were prepared by either the Menshutkin reaction or metathesis reaction in a common organic solvent. Their polyelectrolyte behavior in methanol was determined by solution viscosity measurements, and their chemical structures were determined by Fourier transform infrared and Fourier transform NMR spectroscopy. They were characterized for their thermotropic liquid‐crystalline properties with a number of experimental techniques. Each of the viologen polymers with organic counterions had a low melting transition or fusion temperature above which it formed either a high‐order smectic phase or a low‐order smectic phase. Each of them also exhibited a smectic‐to‐isotropic transition. The ranges of the liquid‐crystalline phase were 80–88 °C for viologen polymers with tosylate as a counterion and 120–146 °C for viologen polymers with triflimide as a counterion. They had excellent thermal stability. The ranges of thermal stability were 288–329 °C for viologen polymers with tosylate as a counterion and 343–350 °C for viologen polymers with triflimide as a counterion. The fluorescence property for all of the viologen polymers in either aqueous or methanol solution was also included in this study. For example, the viologen polymer containing the 4,4′‐bipyridinium and p‐xylyl units along the backbone of the polymer chain with triflimide as a counterion had an absorption spectrum (λmax = 265 nm), an excitation spectrum (λex values = 357, 443, and 454 with monitoring at 533 nm), and an emission spectrum (λem = 536 nm with excitation at 430 and 450 nm) in methanol. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The solvatochromic behavior of a penta‐tert‐butyl prydinium N‐phenolate betaine dye was studied using UV‐visible spectrophotometry in several binary mixture solvents. The solvent polarity parameter, ET (1) (kcal. mol?1) was calculated from the position of the longest‐wavelength intramolecular charge transfer absorption band of this penta‐tert‐butyl betaine dye. For binary solvent mixtures, all plots of ET (1) versus the mole fraction of a more polar component are nonlinear owing to preferential solvation of the probe by one component of the binary solvent mixture. In the computation of ET (1) it was assumed that the two solvents mixed interact to form a common structure with an ET (1) value not always intermediate between those of the two solvents mixed. The results obtained are explained by the strong synergism observed for some of the binary mixtures with strong hydrogen bond donors (HBD) solvents such as alcohols.  相似文献

Synthesis and Crystal Structure of Cadmium Dodecahydro closo‐Dodecaborate Hexahydrate, Cd(H2O)6[B12H12] Through neutralization of the aqueous free acid (H3O)2[B12H12] with cadmium carbonate (CdCO3) and after isothermic evaporation of the resulting solution, colourless lath‐shaped single crystals of Cd(H2O)6[B12H12] are obtained. Cadmium dodecahydro closo‐dodecaborate hexahydrate crystallizes at room temperature in the monoclinic system (space group: C2/m) with the lattice constants a = 1413.42(9), b = 1439.57(9), c = 749.21(5) pm and β = 97.232(4)° (Z = 4). The crystal structure of Cd(H2O)6[B12H12] can be regarded as a monoclinic distortion variant of the CsCl‐type structure. Two crystallographically different [Cd(H2O)6]2+ octahedra (d(Cd–O) = 227–230 pm) are present which only differ in their relative orientation. The intramolecular bond lengths for the quasi‐icosahedral [B12H12]2? cluster anions range in the intervals usually found for dodecahydro closo‐dodecaborates (d(B–B) = 177–179 pm, d(B–H) = 103–116 pm). The hydrogen atoms of the [B12H12]2? clusters have no direct coordinative influence on the Cd2+ cations. Due to the fact that no “zeolitic” crystal water molecules are present, a stabilization of the lattice takes place mainly via the B–Hδ?···H–O hydrogen bonds.  相似文献

The electrochemical oxidation of ascorbate ions is comparatively studied at polyaniline (PANI) and poly‐ortho‐methoxyaniline (POMA) layers in absence and presence of electrodeposited copper species. In comparison to PANI, POMA layers allow decreasing the overpotential necessary for driving the ascorbate oxidation reaction. A nonlinear dependence of the ascorbate oxidation current on the polymer layer redox charge is found. Copper electrodeposited in PANI and POMA layers is electrocatalytically active for the investigated reaction. Two separate oxidation waves are observed in the case of Cu‐PANI whereas a single ascorbate oxidation wave and enhanced currents are found in the Cu‐POMA case.  相似文献
