Abstract Surface tension has been measured by the differential capillary rise method for three ternary mixtures containing alkanes (hexane + cyclohexane+benzene, pentane + hexane + benzene and cyclohexane + heptane + toluene at 298.15pm 0.1°K). The sign and magnitude of the excess surface tension and excess volume depend ultimately upon the chain length of the component of the mixtures. The results of the surface tension were compared with theoretical values obtained from Flory theory, Sanchez method, Brock-Bird relation and volume fraction statistics. The apparent molal volumes (φ v ) of NaCl, NaNO3, NH4Cl, CuCl2, CuSO4, CoSO4 and MgSO4 in water and in water-SDS (Sodium dodecyl sulphate) solutions were determined from density measurements at 308.15, 313.15 and 323.15 K respectively. The limiting apparent molal volume at infinite dilution φ o v which is practically equal to the partial molal volume V o 2) of these electrolytes were found to be higher in water-SDS solution systems than those in water solutions. Viscosity coefficients (A and B) for these systems were also determined by Jones-Dole equation. All these electrolytes, except NH4Cl exhibit structure making behaviour in water and in water-SDS solutions. Ammonium chloride showed structure breaking properties in water and in 0.01 molar water-SDS solutions. In 0.1 molar SDS solution, it showed structure making behaviour at the temperature range studied. The properties of these electrolytes in water and in water-SDS solution systems have been discussed in terms of the charge, size and hydrogen bonding effect. 相似文献

采用电镀技术在铜箔上电镀金属锡, 并对其充放电过程中的厚度和结构的变化进行了观察和分析. 锡电极经过热处理后, 活性物质锡与基体铜相互扩散生成中间合金Cu6Sn5. 在合金电极嵌锂过程中, 由于有机电解液的分解, 形成了大量的锂氧化物, 这是合金电极体积膨胀的最主要的原因之一. 锂脱嵌后, 部分锂以Li2SnCu的形态保留在合金中, 造成了合金电极首次充放电的不可逆容量损失. 一些新型电解质的应用可能有助于降低合金电极材料体积的膨胀并提高其循环寿命. 相似文献

may exist between the PDA measured particle volume flux and the coating microstructure and deposition efficiency (DE). In
the situation when the precise particle temperature information is not available, the PDA measured particle volume flux may
provide an alternative to predict quantitatively the variation of the coating microstructure and the DE. By monitoring the
in-flight particle volume flux variations, instead of the particle velocity, size and temperature individually and simultaneously,
the optimal settings of the plasma spraying parameters may also be determined conveniently. However, it is noted that the
effective applications of such approach depend largely on the particle surface morphology and the pre-determination of the

High-pressure density data for cyclohexane + n-hexadecane mixtures at a wide temperature range was modeled with several classical equations of state (EOS) and correlative models. A modification for softening the co-volume and another for a volume scaling of the Peng–Robinson EOS (VS-PR) were proposed. The VS-PR model is able to correlate the pure component experimental data employing only five adjustable parameters, with root-mean-square deviation (RMSD) between calculated and experimental densities essentially within the experimental error. This result is superior to widely used approaches, i.e., a six parameter Tait model and six parameter volume translations (temperature and pressure dependent) for Peng–Robinson and Patel–Teja EOS. The VS-PR model also represents well the isobaric thermal expansion and the isothermal compressibility coefficients of the pure cyclohexane, a small naphthenic substance as well as a long chain n-alkane hydrocarbon, n-hexadecane. When modeling the mixture data, the use of VS-PR model of pure components along with the Redlich–Kister expansion, truncated at the first term, the density was correlated within a RMSD only 60% greater than the experimental error. The proposed model is able to accurately represent all the tested mixture data with a relatively small number of parameters. 相似文献

Dodecyl benzenesulfonic acid (DBSA) surfactant was used in the present study to find the effect of concentration on its electrical conductance in solution from 293-323K above and below the critical micelle concentration (CMC). A kind of azo-containing resin (Azo-R) was synthesized by a simple way through the coupling reaction of 2-nitro-N-methyldiphenylamine-4-diazoresin (NDR) with phenol, and a new covalentely attached multilayer film from Azo-R as H-donor and photosensitive diazoresin, diphenylamine-4-diazoresin (DR) as H-acceptor via H-bonding attraction by selfassembly technique has been fabricated. Following the decomposition of diazonium group of DR under exposure to UV light, the H-bonds between the layers of the film convert to covalent bonds and the film becomes very stable toward polar solvents or electrolyte aqueous solutions. Thus the UV-irradiated azo-containing films can be used to measure photocurrent in a conventional three-electrode photoelectrochemical cell using KCl as supporting electrolyte.
