Prolegomenon means something said in advance of something else. In this study, we posit that part of the work by Arthur Schopenhauer (1788–1860) can be thought of as a prolegomenon to the existing concept of fuzziness. His epistemic framework offers a comprehensive and surprisingly modern framework to study individual decision making and suggests a bridgeway from the Kantian program into the concept of fuzziness, which may have had its second prolegomenon in the work by Frege, Russell, Wittgenstein, Peirce and Black. In this context, Zadeh's seminal contribution can be regarded as the logical consequence of the Kant-Schopenhauer representation framework. 相似文献

We prove that in the construct PRAP of pre-approach spaces the class of exponential objects completely determines the exponential objects in certain subconstructs. We show that Exp B Exp PRAP for every coreflective subconstruct B and from this inclusion we deduce the equality Exp B = B Exp PRAP for every subconstruct B that is coreflective and finitely productive. We prove that the same equality holds for non-trivial quotient reflective subconstructs. This paper describes measurements of a vibrating object with rough surface by the time-averaged method of holography using a newly designed optically addressed liquid crystal spatial light modulator with a resolution of 102 lp/mm and a diffraction efficiency of 16%. An object vibrating faster than several tens of Hz could be visualized. The pattern obtained by the method provides the locus of vibrating nodes. The advantage of this method is that a high contrast pattern of a vibrating object can be imaged in near-real-time, although the sensitivity of vibration is decreased. 相似文献

We have solved a self-consistent problem on interaction of two dipole atoms located at an arbitrary distance from each other
with the field of a quasiresonance light wave, whose intensity is sufficient for the system to manifest nonlinear properties.
The atoms are considered as two-level systems described by means of Bloch optical equations, while the field inside of the
system includes both Coulomb and retarded parts. We consider a situation where atoms are identical and the distance between
them is much smaller than the length of an outer light wave. The distribution of an electric field both inside of a small
object and outside of it is found numerically. It is shown that the amplitude of the electric field in a wave zone depends
substantially on the frequency of the external field and interatomic distance, while the field distribution differs from the
field pattern of an electric dipole. At definite values of the external field intensity an optical multistability is a feature
of the system under investigation. We have elucidated the conditions under which the multistability is manifested in the present
system. The results obtained are considered as the near-field effect in the optics of small objects, which makes it possible
to investigate the structure of small objects by means of optical radiation.

In this paper an incompressible smoothed particle hydrodynamics (Incom‐SPH) model is used to simulate the interactions between the free surface flow and a moving object. Incom‐SPH method is a two‐step semi‐implicit hydrodynamic formulation of the SPH algorithm and is capable of accurately treating the free surface deformations and impact forces during the solid–fluid interactions. For a free‐falling object, its motion is tracked by an additional Lagrangian algorithm based on Newton's law to couple with the Incom‐SPH program. The developed model is employed to investigate the water entry of a free‐falling wedge. The accuracy of the computations is validated by the good agreement in predicting the relevant hydrokinematic and hydrodynamic parameters. Finally, a numerical test is performed to study the influence of spatial resolution on the water entry features. The Incom‐SPH modeling coupled with the solid–fluid interaction algorithm could provide a promising computational tool to predict the slamming problems in coastal and offshore engineering. The phenomenon of supergain for a circular array and its robust beamforming are presented. The coplanar superdirective array gain of the circular array, although it is not so extreme as an endfire line array, outperforms a lot over that of a conventional delay-and-sum beamformer in isotropic noise fields when the inter-element spacings are much smaller than one-half wavelength. However, optimum beamforming algorithms can be extremely sensitive to slight errors in array characteristics. The performance are known to degrade significantly if some of underlying assumptions on the sensor array is violated. Therefore, white noise gain constraint is used to improve the robustness of the supergain beamformer against random errors. We show that the design of the weight vector of robust supergain beamformer can be reformulated as a form of second-order cone programming and resolved efficiently via the well-established interior point method. Results of computer simulation for a 24-element circular array confirm satisfactory performance of the approach proposed in this paper. 相似文献
