本文利用广义p值和广义置信区间理论,研究了两独立服从双参数指数分布产品平均寿命比率的统计推断问题.给出了平均寿命比率的广义置信区间,并对该区间的覆盖率和区间长度进行了数据模拟,模拟结果与已有文献中的近似置信区间进行了比较,结果显示本文给出的广义置信区间的区间覆盖率和区间长度都要优于近似置信区间,特别是在小样本的情况下.     

Two-parameter coherent resonance behavior in catalytic oxidation of CO on platinum surface

We study the effects of two-parameter noises on rate oscillations during CO oxidation on platinum surface, in a parameter region sub-threshold to deterministic Hopf bifurcation. It is found that the performance of noise-induced oscillations, characterized by an effective signal-to-noise ratio, shows ridge shape in the DCO∼DO₂ plane, where DCO and DO₂ measure the strength of two different parameter noises. It is indicating that the ‘two-parameter coherent resonance’ phenomenon occurs. Stochastic normal form theory is employed to analyze the non-trivial effects of two-parameter noises and the simulation results are well reproduced.     

On the existence of non-polarized azimuthal-symmetric electromagnetic waves in circular dielectric waveguide filled with nonlinear isotropic homogeneous medium

The propagation of monochromatic nonlinear symmetric hybrid waves in a cylindrical nonlinear dielectric waveguide is considered. The physical problem is reduced to solving a transmission eigenvalue problem for a system of ordinary differential equations. Spectral parameters of the problem are propagation constants of the waveguide. The problem is reduced to the new type of nonlinear eigenvalue problem. The analytical method of solving this problem is presented. New propagation regime is found.     

Temporal and spatial evolution of electron bunching in a one-dimensional pulse

A generalized form of bunching parameter for a one-dimensional electron pulse is defined and the formula is simplified into a symmetric form by considering completely elastic one-dimensional collisions. Using a two-parameter Poisson distribution, for electrons arrival times at the undulator beginning and for their initial positions within the pulse, the temporal and spatial evolution of mean value of bunching parameter are evaluated. For the special case, where the distribution parameters, t and x, are set to zero the generalized bunching parameter is reduced to the similar form used in previous free electron laser studies.

Functional inequalities for the two-parameter extension of the infinitely-many-neutral-alleles diffusion

By explicitly identifying the transition density function, we derived the super-Poincaré and super-log-Sobolev inequalities for the two-parameter extension of the infinitely-many-neutral-alleles diffusion, which in particular implies the Gross log-Sobolev inequality.     

Spectral-Parameter Dependent Yang–Baxter Operators and Yang–Baxter Systems From Algebra Structures

For any algebra, two families of colored Yang–Baxter operators are constructed, thus producing solutions to the two-parameter quantum Yang–Baxter equation. An open problem about a system of functional equations is stated. The matrix forms of these operators for two and three dimensional algebras are computed. A FRT bialgebra for one of these families is presented. Solutions for the one-parameter quantum Yang–Baxter equation are derived and a Yang–Baxter system constructed.     

3-D thermo-elastic solution for continuously graded isotropic and fiber-reinforced cylindrical shells resting on two-parameter elastic foundations

This paper investigates the three-dimensional thermo-elastic deformation of cylindrical shells on two-parameter elastic foundations with continuously graded of volume fraction, subjected to thermal load. Suitable temperature and displacement functions that identically satisfy boundary conditions at the edges are used to reduce the equilibrium equations to a set of coupled ordinary differential equations with variable coefficients, which are solved by Generalized Differential Quadrature (GDQ) method. Results are presented for two-constituent isotropic and fiber-reinforced functionally graded cylindrical shells that have a smooth variation of volume fractions through the radial direction. Symmetric and asymmetric volume fraction profiles are presented in this paper. The fast rate of convergence of the method is demonstrated and comparison studies are carried out to establish its very high accuracy and versatility. Effects of stiffness of the foundation and variations of different parameters of generalized power-law distribution on steady-state responses of the functionally graded cylindrical shell resting on elastic foundation are discussed. In addition, the effects of the FGM configuration are studied by considering the mechanical entities of different FGM fiber-reinforced cylindrical shells resting on elastic foundation. Some results are presented for the first time and some important conclusions are drawn.     

Nonlinear bending analysis of FGM elliptical plates resting on two-parameter elastic foundations

Nonlinear bending analysis is first presented for functionally graded elliptical plates resting on two-parameter elastic foundations, and investigations on FGM elliptical plates with immovable simply supported edge are also new in literature. Material properties are assumed to be temperature-dependent and graded in the thickness direction. The governing equations of a functionally graded plate are based on Reddy’s high-order shear deformation plate theory that includes thermal effects. Ritz method is employed to determine the central deflection-load and bending moment-load curves, the validity can be confirmed by comparison with related researchers’ results, and it is worth noting that the forms of approximate solutions are well-chosen in consideration of both simplicity and accuracy. Influences played by different supported boundaries, thermal environmental conditions, foundation stiffness, ratio of major to minor axis and volume fraction index are discussed in detail.
