A semi-classical scheme is presented to solve the coupled-channel cavity QED (CQED) model. Such model exhibits remarkable characteristics as shown by numerical calculations. A relation between the swing or angular velocity of the detuning and the motion of the atoms is discussed. With the augmentation of the optical field intensity or frequency, the atoms are trapped firstly and then they move stochastically and finally chaos sets in.  相似文献

Extensive studies have been carried out on the optical conversion of F and F-aggregate colour centres produced in lithium fluoride single crystal on gamma irradiation. Using 308 nm XeCl laser it has been shown that significantly large population build-up of F 3 + centre and reduction in the population of undesirable F2 centres can be achieved in gamma irradiated crystal at room temperature due to multistep photoionization processes. These and other investigations have provided a scheme for possible laser action based on F 3 + colour centres in LiF crystal at room temperature.  相似文献

The reactivity centres of Ti8C12, for the three structures suggested in conformity with experimental observations, are studied by extended Huckel theory, The C2 unit can complex with transition metal fragments such as Pt(PH3)2 with the unusual net result of transferring two electrons to Ti8C12. The metal centre, Ti can accommodate extra two-electron donors like CO. Model systems are used to explain the carbon and metal environment in Ti8C12.  相似文献

A polarity test mix consisting of acetophenone, N, N-dimethylaniline, naphthalene, decanoic acid, 2-naphthol, and n-tetracosane was spiked onto sand, and extracted with supercritical carbon dioxide, to evaluate the collection efficiency of various solvents and solvent mixtures. Nine single collection solvent systems and four mixed collection solvent systems were studied. When one-component collection solvents were employed, quantitative (above 90%) recovery of all analytes was not possible. With mixed collection solvents, recoveries of 90% or better with all analytes studied were possible.  相似文献

In this paper we consider a generic differential equation with a cubic nonlinearity and delay. This system, in the absence of delay, is known to undergo an oscillatory instability. The addition of the delay is shown to result in the creation of a number of periodic solutions with constant amplitude and a constant frequency; the number of solutions increases with the size of the delay. Indeed, for many physical applications in which oscillatory instabilities are induced by a delayed response or feedback mechanism, the system under consideration forms the underlying backbone for a mathematical model. Our study showcases the effectiveness of performing a numerical bifurcation analysis, alongside the use of analytical and geometrical arguments, in investigating systems with delay. We identify curves of codimension-one bifurcations of periodic solutions. We show how these curves interact via codimension-two bifurcation points: double singularities which organise the bifurcations and dynamics in their local vicinity.  相似文献

During the elastic deformation of coloured alkali halide crystals, the bending segments of dislocations capture F-centre electrons lying in the expansion region of edge dislocations, to the states of dislocation band. After the separation from interacting F-centres, the captured electrons move together with the bending segments of dislocations and also drift along the axis of dislocations and subsequently the radiative electron–hole recombinations, owing to both the processes of captured-electron movement, give rise to the light emission. The generation rate of electrons in the dislocation band and the mechanoluminescence (ML) intensity initially increase with time, attain maximum value at a particular time, and then they decrease with time. The intensity Im corresponding to the peak of ML intensity versus time curve and the total intensity IT of ML increase with the applied pressure and also with the density of F-centres in the crystals. At low temperature, both Im and IT increase with temperature and at higher temperature they decrease with increasing temperature due to the thermal bleaching of F-centres and also due to the decrease in luminescence efficiency. Thus, both Im and IT are optimum for a particular temperature of the crystals. For longer time duration, the ML intensity decreases exponentially with time in which the decay time is equal to the lifetime of interacting F-centres. Expressions derived for the different characteristics of ML are able to explain the experimental results. It is shown that the time constant for rise of pressure, lifetime of the interacting F-centres or damping time of dislocation segments, and the activation energy can be determined from the ML measurements.  相似文献

Inspired by its great success in the photovoltaic field, methylammonium lead iodide perovskite (MAPbI3) has recently been actively explored as photocatalysts in H2 evolution reactions. However, the practical application of MAPbI3 photocatalysts remains hampered by the intrinsically fast trapping and recombination of photogenerated charges. Herein, we propose a novel strategy of regulating the distribution of defective areas to promote charge-transfer dynamics of MAPbI3 photocatalysts. By deliberately designing and synthesizing the MAPbI3 photocatalysts featuring a unique continuation of defective areas, we demonstrate that such a feature enables retardation of charge trapping and recombination via lengthening the charge-transfer distance. As an outcome, such MAPbI3 photocatalysts turn out to achieve an impressive photocatalytic H2 evolution rate as high as 0.64 mmol ⋅ g−1 ⋅ h−1, one order of magnitude higher than that of the conventional MAPbI3 photocatalysts. This work establishes a new paradigm for controlling charge-transfer dynamics in photocatalysis.  相似文献

The oxidative effect of carbanilation mixtures containing dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) was demonstrated by means of alcohol model substances in which competitive carbanilation was prevented due to steric hindrance of the hydroxyl function, rendering those compounds specific probes for oxidation effects. Dimethylsulfonium ions and derived ylide species were shown to be the actually oxidizing species according to trapping methodology using lipophilic olefins which were converted into the corresponding cyclopropane and epoxide derivatives. The experimental data were in good agreement with DFT computations carried out on the B3LYP/6-311+G(d,p) level of theory. The direct interaction of cellulose and sulfoxide solvent was proven by means of methyl-(2-naphthyl)sulfoxide (MNSO) as a model for DMSO, which caused introduction of UV-detectable methylthionaphthyl ether moieties into the cellulose, formed in Pummerer-type side reaction paralleling the chemical behavior of DMSO. A facile color test—responding to sulfoxide-derived oxidizing species—was developed to assess the suitability of carbanilation conditions with regard to cellulose oxidation and degradation. DMSO-based carbanilation systems have to be used with great caution for determination of molecular weight parameters and for similar purposes which require complete maintenance of the cellulose integrity. Cellulose oxidation/degradation by DMSO-derived intermediates upon carbanilation can be minimized but cannot be avoided completely. Thus, if cellulose integrity is an issue as it is in cellulose analytics, it is recommended to replace DMSO by solvent components of similar solution behavior but without the inherent danger of generating oxidants, such as pyridine or DMAc, whenever possible.

The present paper reports the correlation between deformation bleaching of coloration and mechanoluminescence (ML) in coloured alkali halide crystals. When the F-centre electrons captured by moving dislocations are picked up by holes, deep traps and other compatible traps, then deformation bleaching occurs. At the same time, radiative recombination of dislocation captured electrons with the holes gives rise to the mechanoluminescence. Expressions are derived for the strain dependence of the density of colour centres in deformed crystals and also for the number of colour centres bleached. So far as strain, temperature, density of colour centres, E a and volume dependence are concerned, there exists a correlation between the deformation bleaching and ML in coloured alkali halide crystals. From the strain dependence of the density of colour centres in deformed crystals, the value of coefficient of deformation bleaching D is determined and it is found to be 1.93 and 2.00 for KCl and KBr crystals, respectively. The value of (D+χ) is determined from the strain dependence of the ML intensity and it is found to be 2.6 and 3.7 for KCl and KBr crystals, respectively. This gives the value of coefficient of deformation generated compatible traps χ to be 0.67 and 1.7 for KCl and KBr crystals, respectively.  相似文献
