An optical fiber multi-function device consisting of a single gradient-index-rod lens and a multi-facet blazed reflection grating is proposed to simultaneously realize functions of wavelength demultiplexing and optical signal distribution in a multimode optical fiber transmission system. We analyzed the demultiplexing characteristics and the tolerance of optical components using the ray trace method. This device can realize not only low loss optical signal distribution but also offers improved demultiplexing characteristics in comparison with the previously proposed demultiplexer-multiposition switch. The following characteristics are expected from the design using commercially available optical components: a working band of 0.64–0.88 μm, channel separation of 34–36 nm, 3 dB bandwidth of 27–28 nm, channel cross-talk of less than - 40 dB and minimum excess insertion loss of 0.9–2.1 dB.  相似文献

提出了一种用阵列波导光栅复用光纤微机电系统法布里-珀罗压力传感器的方法,实现了法布里-珀罗压力传感器的准分布式测量。传感器基于法布里-珀罗腔干涉的原理,采用微机电系统技术加工制作,用双波长方法解调干涉信号,利用传感器对两个不同波长光的反射率的比值与压力的单值关系确定所施加压力的大小,用阵列波导光栅实现传感器复用。理论分析与实验验证了传感器解调和复用的基本原理。实验结果表明:在压力的线性测量范围(0~1.5 MPa)内,系统的灵敏度(相对反射率比值/压力)可达到0.02026 MPa-1,测量结果具有较好的线形性,相对反射率比值的标准偏差小于3×10-4。该系统可以补偿传感器光网中和波长无关的变动引起的误差,具有好的线性、灵敏度和精度,复用能力强且复用传感器间无串扰。  相似文献

We propose the encryption and multiplexing of two-dimensional input images by rotating the constituent diffusers of a sandwich random phase diffuser kept in the Fourier plane of a double random phase encoding system. Successive recording of encrypted images is done by taking the input images one by one. The results of multiplexing in encryption and decryption due to different sets of rotation of one or both of the random constituent phase masks have been presented. The use of an aperture system in addition to the rotation of one or both of the random phase masks enhances the multiplexing capability and security of the system avoiding the generation of cross-talk images at the time of decryption. Simulation results are presented in support of the proposed techniques. The decrypted images obtained from a multiplexed encrypted image have been recorded successfully. Mean square-error (MSE) and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) values as a function of the number of multiplexed images have been calculated.  相似文献

Abstract

This article introduces the main achievements resulting from the DWDM/ODC project. The five areas of research activity within the DWDM/ODC project cover some of the main issues of design and development of dense wavelength division multiplexing systems for transparent optical networks. These issues are: performance assessment with arbitrary optical filtering; performance of signaling formats; dispersion compensation strategies for directly and externally modulated systems in presence of nonlinear transmission-induced degradation; and the impact of noise and crosstalk in the extent of transparent optical networks. All five areas of research activity have contributed significantly to a better understanding of the limitations present in dense wavelength division multiplexing systems.  相似文献

We investigate simulated and theoretically the optical properties of the metamaterial, composed of two bigger split ring resonators and one smaller split ring resonator in unit cell. We observe the magic phenomena that one mode B is inhibited from strong to weak then disappears while another mode A appears and becomes stronger and stronger as asymmetric degree increases. The results show the mode A originates from the destructive interference between the dipole mode and the quadrapole mode, and its strength is proportional to the cross coupling coefficient of near-field. The disappearance of the mode B is due to the competition between the mode B and the mode A, and the variation of strength is proportional to the frequency shift of the dark mode. That is, with asymmetric degree increasing, the mode B converts into the mode A. These phenomena are explained very well by the temporal coupled-mode theory. Our metamaterial provides a kind of new design for understanding the interaction between light and matter.  相似文献

利用体相位全息光栅的优良特性,研制光栅式密集型波分复用器(DWDM)。准直后的信道波长通过体相位全息光栅两次衍射,在焦面上实现信道波长的分复用。阐述了体相位全息光栅的独特结构特点,给出了体相位全息光栅式密集型光波分复用器件的原理图,计算出各个信道的位置及间隔,用Zemax仿真出设计模型。相比于薄膜滤光片式器件而言,具有许多独特的优良特性,能够实现更密集更多信道数量的分复用。  相似文献

We investigate the temporal behavior of low-amplitude dark spatial solitons in biased centrosymmetric crystals with two-photon photorefractive effects. The expressions of time-dependent space-charge field and dynamical evolution equation are derived. The temporal behaviors of the intensity profiles and the intensity full width at half maximum (FWHM) of dark solitons are investigated by numerical method. The results indicate that a broad soliton is generated at the beginning, and as time evolves, the intensity width of solitons decrease monotonously to a minimum value toward steady state. Within the same propagation time, the higher the ratio of soliton peak intensity to the dark irradiation intensity is, the shorter the FWHM of dark solitons is.  相似文献

实现了42.8 Gbit/s 差分相移键控调制信号的三信道波分复用传输实验.传输链路为410 km的标准单模光纤,分为四个放大段,采用色散补偿光纤进行色散补偿和掺铒光纤放大器/分布式喇曼放大器混合放大方式.给出了差分相移键控信号及其解调后的信号在背对背和传输后的光谱和眼图(中路波长信号).在接收端使用单端检测,给出中路波长的差分相移键控信号背对背情况和传输后的误码率曲线,并与单信道传输时进行比较.经过传输后的中路信号的误码率可维持在1.0E-3左右.  相似文献

为进一步提高光纤耦合半导体激光器的输出功率,提出了一种多单管半导体激光器通过台阶分布、光束精密准直及自由空间合束实现高功率光纤耦合输出的方法,该方法具有结构简单、光学元件易于加工、耦合效率高等优点。采用这种方法对5只封装在次热沉上的单管半导体激光器开展了芯径100 m、数值孔径0.22多模光纤的耦合实验研究,当工作电流为7.0 A时,光纤连续输出功率为21.8 W,亮度为1.83 MW/(cm2sr) ,耦合效率为70.32%。  相似文献
