The optical absorption (OA) dose response of irradiated LiF:Mg,Ti has been measured over the dose range from 100 Gy to 1.4 M Gy. Measurements at high dose indicate that the 4.0 eV band is actually a composite band at 3.84 eV and 4.3 eV. Bleaching experiments at 5.08 eV (F band) support the participation of V3 centers in the relaxation mechanisms following the bleach. The results are interpreted in the framework of a spatially correlated trapping center/luminescent center giving rise to composite peak 5 in the glow curve.  相似文献

Results of the investigation concerning thermoluminescence (TL) responses to X, gamma and neutron radiation fields for crystals of complex fluoride K2GdF5 undoped and doped with varying concentrations of Dy3+ ions are presented. Crystals doped with 5.0 at% Dy3+ have shown the most efficient TL response, with a linear response to doses for all the radiation fields. In the X rays range, the maximum TL response has been found to be 15 times more than the response for gamma. The fast and thermal neutron TL outputs were evaluated for K2Gd0.95Y0.05F5 and the contribution of the gamma component in the TL curve was estimated.  相似文献

In this paper, thermoluminescence (TL) studies of BaCa(SO4)2:Eu,Dy phosphor are reported. A microcrystalline sample of BaCa(SO4)2:Eu,Dy was prepared by a solid state diffusion method and the formation of the compound was confirmed by the X-ray diffraction study. Morphology of the phosphor was analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The sample is found to have an average particle size of 5?µm. TL glow curves of the γ-irradiated samples with different concentrations of Eu and Dy were studied and compared with BaCa(SO4)2:Eu and BaCa(SO4)2:Dy. It has been found that a single peak was located at around 230°C with the highest TL intensity in BaCa(SO4)2:Eu,Dy which is eight times and two times more than singly Dy- and Eu-doped BaCa(SO4)2 phosphor, respectively. For TL analysis, BaCa(SO4)2:Eu,Dy (0.2?mol%, 1?mol%) is annealed at different temperatures ranging from 900°C to 1100°C. Analysis of the TL glow curve was carried out by a glow curve deconvoluted method. Trapping parameters (activation energy and frequency factor) of all TL glow curves were evaluated by Chen's peak shape method. A comparison of trapping parameters between BaCa(SO4)2:Eu,Dy; BaCa(SO4)2:Eu and BaCa(SO4)2:Dy phosphors at 900°C, 1000°C and 1100°C is also reported in this paper.  相似文献

Abstract

Thermoluminescence (TL) traps in granitic quartz are potential geochronometers for ages of up to billions years. TL sensitivity is believed to be a measure of the population of TL traps. Their lifetimes can be roughly estimated either by isothermal annealing or by an empirical approach. The former is applicable to radiation sensitive traps corresponding to > 200°C TL when first order kinetics is assumed. The lifetimes are found to be several orders longer than those of trapped electrons. The lifetimes of thermally sensitive traps (< 200°C TL) are estimated from empirical curves that are constructed from data from granitic quartz of known age. It is found that the lifetime increases with the trap depth.  相似文献

用三维发光谱方法,研究了掺Eu和Ag,Mn的CaSO4热释光材料的发光特性。测定了CaSO4:Eu(0.1%,摩尔分数)经1kGy的^60Co的γ射线照射后的热释发光谱,观察到Eu^2 离子的波长为385nm,温度为120,154℃的两个发光峰,Eu^3 离子在波长590,620,700nm处有多个发光峰。测量样品经不同温度热处理后的热释发光谱,发现Eu^2 和Eu^3 离子的发光强度随热处理温度变化规律极不相同,可见,Eu^2 和Eu^3 浓度比可通过热处理来改变,从而得到需要的Eu^2 和Eu^3 相对发光强度。通过CaSO4:Mn(0.5%)和CaSO4:Eu,Mn(0.1%,0.1%)热释发光谱的比较,观察到Mn^2 不仅是发光中心,而且能起能量转移的作用。实验得到的CaSO4:Eu,Mn磷光体有很高的发光效率。实验结果表明Eu^2 取代CaSO4中的Ca^2 ,不需要电荷补偿,有比较稳定和简单的结构,其热释光峰基本符合以一陷阱和一发光中心为前提的一级动力学模型,Ag和Mn的掺入不产生Eu^2 的高温发光峰。当Eu^3 在CaSO4中取代Ca^2 离子时,因其价态不同,则需电荷补偿,可能产生缺陷复合体和局部跃迁发光,它的热释光发光机制不能用一级动力学方程表示,而Ag的掺入起电荷补偿作用,从而改变了Eu^3 发光峰温,而对Eu^2 的发光峰温影响极小。  相似文献

It has been demonstrated that glass display of mobile phones can be used as a device for accident dosimetry. Published studies concentrated on the experimental investigation of parts of the glass display. In the work presented here, the experimental results are compared with results of radiation transport calculations using the Monte Carlo code MCNP5.An experimental setup of an irradiation of an extracted glass display is simulated. The simulation is then extended to a simulation of a modern day mobile phone consisting of all major parts. Simulations are performed for various irradiation conditions and different geometric and material properties.The results of the simulation show a good agreement with the experiments for an extracted glass sample as well as for an actual modern mobile phone. The glass display is exposed to radiation in various angular and energy distributions. Simulated results were compared to experimentally determined results. The effects of the irradiation condition on the photon energy dependence were investigated and variations in the material constants of the display glass composition were discussed. This work affirms the usability of a mobile phone as a versatile and flexible accident radiation detector.  相似文献

The behavior of TL, OSL and PTTL under thermal and/or optical stimulation in beta-irradiated -Al2O3 was investigated. The noticeable change of the shape of the main TL peak after thermal or optical stimulation clearly shows that this peak is related to at least two traps. The OSL curves recorded after preheating up to a given increased end temperatures are described by two exponential decays curves. The first one is associated to the decay of the traps responsible for the main TL peak. The second exponential is related with the phototransfer from the deep to the main traps. A simple model of the OSL process, based on simultaneous refilling of shallow traps and their reverse filling due to phototransfer from deep traps, under illumination with light is proposed. The model describes well the obtained experimental data.  相似文献

Dried seasoned filefish (Thamnaconus modestus) was irradiated at 0–10 kGy and the identification of irradiation treatment was investigated by analyzing the characteristics of thermoluminescence (TL), hydrocarbon (HC), and 2-alkylacyclobutanone (2-ACB). The TL (TL1), glow curve of the irradiated samples peaked at approximately 150 °C with high intensity, but that of the non-irradiated samples peaked at about 300 °C with little intensity, thus making it possible to discriminate between irradiated and non-irradiated samples. Moreover, TL ratio (TL1/TL2), through normalization steps, enhanced the reliability of the TL1 results. Six kinds of HCs and three kinds of 2-ACBs quantitatively determined for the samples linearly increased in proportion to irradiation doses. In particular, two HCs like 1-hexadecane and 1,7-hexadecadine, and three ACBs, such as 2-dodecylcyclobutanone, 2-(5′-tetradeceyl)cyclobutanone, and 2-tetradecylcyclobutanone, were identified only in the irradiated samples as radiation-induced markers.  相似文献

Three different varieties of Iranian fresh dates and five types of raw and salted pistachio nuts have been tested for identification of irradiation histories. Doses of 2.5, 5, 7.5 and 10 kGy from a gamma cell Gc-220 have been administrated to the samples under investigation.TL response versus dose for date and for pistachio nuts have been obtained. The effect of added ingredients such as salt in pistachio nuts, and moisture in date samples on the TL response have been studied. The fading of TL intensity of the irradiated dates and pistachio nuts have also been measured. Based on the latter results, it appears possible to identify the irradiated dates (10 kGy), within (1–2) months post-irradiation.In the salted pistachio nuts, the salt itself gives a very significant and distinguishable response. In the unsalted case, however, the difference between the irradiated and unirradiated samples seem difficult to detect due to partial overlapping of the respective responses.  相似文献
