There are two definitions of Einstein-Finsler spaces introduced by Akbar-Zadeh, which we will show is equal along the integral curves of I-invariant projective vector fields. The sub-algebra of the C-projective vector fields, leaving the H-curvature invariant, has been studied extensively. Here we show on a closed Finsler space with negative definite Ricci curvature reduces to that of Killing vector fields. Moreover, if an Einstein-Finsler space admits such a projective vector field then the flag curvature is constant. Finally, a classification of compact isotropic mean Landsberg manifolds admitting certain projective vector fields is obtained with respect to the sign of Ricci curvature.  相似文献

This paper studies the compressional dispersive Alfvén (CDA) waves where Noether symmetries will be calculated from which the corresponding conservation laws will be obtained via Noether's theorem. Furthermore, one case of double reduction is performed via the association of a conserved vector with a Noether symmetry (with zero gauge). The conserved quantities of optical solitons in the presence of intermodal dispersion that is governed by the perturbed nonlinear Schrödinger's equation with Kerr law nonlinearity. The invariance-multiplier method is adopted to carry out the analysis, from which the conserved densities are then retrieved. Finally, the conserved quantities are obtained using the 1-soliton solution of the governing equation.  相似文献

We study the renormalization of non-semisimple gauge models quantized in the 't Hooft-background gauge to all orders. We analyze the normalization conditions for masses and couplings compatible with the Slavnov-Taylor and Ward-Takahashi Identities and with the IR constraints. We take into account both the problem of renormalization of CKM matrix elements and the problem of CP violation and we show that the Background Field Method (BFM) provides proper normalization conditions for fermion, scalar and gauge field mixings. We discuss the hard and the soft anomalies of the Slavnov-Taylor Identities and the conditions under which they are absent.  相似文献

Many composite materials, including biological tissues, are modeled as non-linear elastic materials reinforced with elastic fibers. In the current paper, the full set of dynamic equations for finite deformations of incompressible hyperelastic solids containing a single fiber family are considered. Finite-amplitude wave propagation ansätze compatible with the incompressibility condition are employed for a generic fiber family orientation. Corresponding non-linear and linear wave equations are derived. It is shown that for a certain class of constitutive relations, the fiber contribution vanishes when the displacement is independent of the fiber direction.Point symmetries of the derived wave models are classified with respect to the material parameters and the angle between the fibers and the wave propagation direction. For planar shear waves in materials with a strong fiber contribution, a special wave propagation direction is found for which the non-linear wave equations admit an additional symmetry group. Examples of exact time-dependent solutions are provided in several physical situations, including the evolution of pre-strained configurations and traveling waves.  相似文献

The geometry of the symplectic structures and Fubini-Study metric is discussed. Discussion in the paper addresses geometry of Quantum Mechanics in the classical phase space. Also, geometry of Quantum Mechanics in the projective Hilbert space has been discussed for the chosen Quantum states. Since the theory of classical gravity is basically geometric in nature and Quantum Mechanics is in no way devoid of geometry, the explorations pertaining to more and more geometry in Quantum Mechanics could prove to be valuable for larger objectives such as understanding of gravity.  相似文献

In this paper we discuss symmetries of a nonlinear wave equation that arises as a consequence of some Riemannian metrics of signature −2. The objective of this study is to show how geometry can be responsible in giving rise to a nonlinear inhomogeneous wave equation rather than assuming nonlinearities in the wave equation from physical considerations. We find Lie point symmetries of the corresponding wave equations and give their solutions in two cases. Some interesting physical conclusions relating to conservation laws such as energy, linear and angular momenta are also determined.  相似文献

The evolution equations of Maxwell’s equations has a Lagrangian written in terms of the electric E and magnetic H fields, but admit neither Lorentz nor conformal transformations. The additional equations E=0, H=0 guarantee the Lorentz and conformal invariance, but the resulting system is overdetermined, and hence does not have a Lagrangian. The aim of the present paper is to attain a harmony between these two contradictory properties and provide a correspondence between symmetries and conservation laws using the Lagrangian for the evolutionary part of Maxwell’s equations.  相似文献
