The main approaches that have been taken to chemically modify polymer surfaces are introduced and reviewed. These are wet chemical oxidation, plasma treatment, classical organic chemistry, and attachment of polymer chains. The extent to which each of these approaches can produce the specific modifications desired is discussed, and any unwanted effects that commonly occur are cited. Potentiodynamic techniques were used for the direct electrodeposition of Prussian blue nano-clusters from an acidic solution of ferricyanide. Electrochemical, EQCM, IR, AFM, and UV/vis measurements were carried out to characterize deposited nano-sized Prussian blue and to explore the formation mechanism. Results showed that ferricyanide could partially dissociate to free ferric and cyanide ions. The driving force of this dissociation is the formation of PB and the evolution of HCN. The optimal potential window for the potentiodynamic formation of PB from an acidic solution (pH 1.6) is between –0.5 V and 0.4 V. 用扫描电镜.能量色散谱研究了粉煤灰与酸的固相反应过程中表面形貌和化学组成变化特性。室温下粉煤灰分别与HCI、HNO3、H2SO4、HCIO4固相反应后,表面产生直径20—200nm的结晶颗粒或晶柱。反应生成的水溶物结晶体的扫描电镜图像分别呈手指状、龟背形、蛛蛛状、蝙蝠态,分别为氯化铝铁混晶、硝酸铝铁混晶、硫酸铝铁混晶和高氯酸铝铁混晶。粉煤灰是硅、铝、铁等元素的氧化物聚集体,铁铝等氧化物主要分布在颗粒表面,氧化硅主要分布在颗粒内层。用少量酸进行固相反应这些氧化物聚集体可相互剥离,用H2SO4处理粉煤灰优先将铁铝氧化物转化成可溶性硫酸盐。 相似文献

The dissociation equilibrium between uncharged local anesthetic lidocaine (LC) and charged local anesthetic LC (LCH+) in a surface-adsorbed film was investigated by measuring the surface tension and pH of aqueous solutions of a mixture of hydrochloric acid and LC. The surface tension values decreased slightly with increasing total molality mt at 0X20.5, where X2 is the mole fraction of LC in the mixture, while they decreased rapidly with increasing mt at 0.5<X21. It was shown from the pH measurements that almost all LC molecules were changed into LCH+ ions by protonation at 0X20.5 and both forms coexisted only at 0.5<X21. The quantities of the respective LC and LCH+ transferred from the aqueous solution to the adsorbed film, i.e., their surface densities, were calculated by applying the thermodynamic equations derived to the surface tension and pH data. A greater quantity of LC than LCH+ existed in the adsorbed film at the coexisting composition. The partitioning behavior of LC and LCH+ in the adsorbed film was characterized by three composition regions: (1) slight partitioning of low surface-active LCH+ in the region at 0X20.5, (2) preferential partitioning of LC at 0.5<X2<around 0.7, and (3) negative partitioning of LCH+ at around 0.7X21. The present results clearly indicate that uncharged local anesthetics transfer into hydrophobic environments such as cell membranes more than charged ones. 相似文献

A non-uniform mesh structure, i.e. a dense network near the surface of peroxide-prevulcanised natural rubber latex particles, was observed under transmission electron microscopy. In the initial period of prevulcanisation, the swelling ratio of the latex sheet decreased with longer reaction time while an increase in crosslink density of rubber particles containing polystyrene, prepared using the phase transfer/bulk polymerisation process, was noticed. The modulus of the rubber sheet increased up to maximum crosslinking and thereafter decreased. After removal of proteins from the latex membrane layer, derived from protein-lipid originally existing at the rubber particle surface, could not be detected. The absence of proteins, which act as free radical scavengers, resulted in a rapid diffusion of alkoxy radicals into the rubber phase of deproteinised latex and, therefore, a uniform crosslink distribution inside each particle was obtained. 相似文献

Surface diffusion in reversed-phase liquid chromatography (RPLC) using silica gels bonded with C1 and C18 alkyl ligands of different densities was studied from the viewpoints of two extrathermodynamic relationships, i.e., enthalpy-entropy compensation (EEC) and linear free energy relationship (LFER). First, according to the four methods proposed by Krug et al., the values of surface diffusion coefficient (Ds) were analyzed to confirm that an actual EEC resulting from substantial physico-chemical effects takes place for surface diffusion. Then, it was also demonstrated that a LFER is observed between surface diffusion and the retention equilibrium. The establishment of EEC and LFER suggests a mechanistic similarity of molecular migration by surface diffusion, irrespective of the alkyl chain length and the densities of C1 and C18 ligands. Finally, a thermodynamic model for the LFER based on the real EEC was used to estimate Ds values under various RPLC conditions. The Ds values can be estimated with a mean square deviation of about 25–30%. The agreement between the Ds values estimated and those experimentally measured suggests that the total mass flux by surface diffusion consists of the two contributions due to C1 and C18 ligands and that the contribution of each ligand is proportional to the ligand density. 相似文献
